One bored, uninspired Webbuilder + Style Change and Soul Unison clips + Zero's Theme = Style Change X4.
This is basically the next to last draft. I'd like some feedback over what needs fixed so that I can tweak it and release a final version.
I guess there's spoilerage involved, so download at your own risk.
Theme: Style Change and Soul Unison
Length: 2:17

I have no idea what possessed me to do this, but I ripped the YGO intro from the dub and set it to RockMan footage (I don't even watch YGO).
Title: Time to Duel
Length: 1:10
MASSIVE SPOILER: [spoil:80caf9a867]Dark RockMan[/spoil:80caf9a867] Got that?
Footage: Stream and Axess.
Again, this is the next to last version. Let me know if any changes need to be made.

Wow! Quadruple post! Better stop ya before you get quintruple post!
I'm downloading 'Time to Duel' and 'Style change X4' now. I'll give you feedback when I get them both.
EDIT: Okay. For Style Change X4, I think its a pretty good Music Video, only the music lets it down. Maybe try using an MP3 version of a Zero/X/Classic Song - or maybe even some of the music from Megaman Network Transmission. That could greatly improve it.
For Time to Duel, it seems to be taking a VERY long time to download. All I can say so far. _________________

And now, in conjunction with Turbine the Afterburn, I present...
AMV Title: Totally Driven
Song: What I'm Made of
Album: Triple Threat (Sonic Heroes)
Editors: TheWebbuilder & Turbine the Afterburn
NOTE: This AMV contains S-P-O-I-L-E-R-S for Ryuusei No RockMan
MegaUpload Link
YouTube Link
I'll tell you right off the bat, I'm not thrilled with the first 40 seconds of this AMV... but as it turns out my partner is more stubborn than I am and so he won out. For what we have to work with, I think this is turning out alright; and with 1:30 seconds left to go in it, I'm fairly sure that the finished product will be bearable.
And this AMV begs the question: How many Cards could a WarRock Crunch if a WarRock could Crunch Cards?
Note: Also, I just uploaded the AMV to YouTube and it's telling me that it'll take time for it to appear on the other end of the link. If it isn't available on YT by this evening I'll remove it. |

Whoot! Double-postage get! *bricked* *bumps with an update.*

Version 2 is done. This one adds another 50 seconds to the mix, plus we went back and redid some of the earlier scenes. If you just want to see the new stuff, jump ahead to 1:30 seconds.
I never realized just how fan=servicy Harp Note's scenes are... |

Very nice, I haven't seen many Ryusei no Rockman AMV's yet. I really enjoyed watching this AMV you and Turbine made. My favorite parts are 1:20-1:40 and 2:20-2:25 I think I like that part so much because of the combination of the scenes and the music at that moment.
I look forward to the final version.
EDIT:
Although I have no experience with AMV-making at all I have written a short rundown of your AMV below.
- 0:14 Subaru's pose fits well with the words that are sung, only the last part doesn't entirely match. But it is barely noticable.
- The first 40 seconds are pretty good IMHO, especially the part were one of the Gemini's (I always forget their names) attacks Rockman from behind.
- 0:55 Nice match with the music.
- 1:20-1:40 My most favorite part of this AMV. The part with 'all the faces' - 'the face of reason' I really liked it. The scenes flow really well with the music.
- 2:16-2:18 it is very short and I am nitpicking, but this scene felt a bit out of place. As if it was dragged making it appear longer then two seconds. It distracted me a bit from the AMV
- The scenes after after 2:38 are another favorite part of me. While there is no text the flow feels very good. (and yes, I agree with you on the fanservice part)
--------------------
I wish I could write down more comments but after watching this AMV numerous times there weren't any other scenes I noticed something about. (I mean that in a positive way) The song sounds pretty difficult to make an AMV around. Yes, there were a few scenes which maybe could be synched better, but then I found that they were part of a larger part in the music.
I am not really the right person to give you advice. The AMV you and Turbine made is very good but especially very enjoyable to watch. Don't say it comes out bearable, I think it turns out very good. I don't know if you are looking for specific advice about this AMV but you could post this on the Rockman AMV site. There are a lot of people there who are very experienced with this.
Anyway, I definitely enjoyed watching this and I can't wait for the final version. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Oh man, I am SO sorry I didn't see your post before now. For some reason I didn't receive an Email alert about a topic reply... *checks spam folder* ... and that would be why...
Anyway, I appreciate you taking so much time to give us such an extensive critique of the AMV; it's exactly what we needed and helps us more than you'll ever know.
I'll definitely take your comments into consideration when we start work on the next version (we're currently waiting for more footage to surface in the form of more episodes) and I'm sure that we can adjust most of the points that you raised so that they're no longer an issue.
Thanks much. ^_^ |

Update!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3kPutdAH4Q
Version 3 is done. This is the next-to-last version, the next one will be the final rendition.
Here's the rundown on the changes made.
1) Added the last 63 seconds worth of material to the AMV.
2) At 00:53 we changed the fade to a cut. It looks much better now.
3) At 2:13 we spliced the scenes of Subaru saving Luna and Harp Note together, just to spice things up a bit.
4) The underwater scene at 2:16 has been removed. In it's place is a teleporting/RockBuster/BreakSaber/BraveSword montage. (Thanks, JH24!) |

I watched your newest update and I could definitely see the changes! I especially liked the changes you and Turbine made at 2:16. These scenes really flow well with the music, regarding the pace as well as the lines of the text. Very well done!
----------------------------------------------
- 3:04 - It is strange, I've watched this scene many times now. I even stopped for a while and then watched your AMV a few hours later. I can't really make up my mind about this. I understand lip-synch is a very difficult thing to do, and I feel Warrock's mouth movement fits with the song, yet there is something that doesn't let me go but I can't really describe it. I am not really helping now, am I?
In short, I like the way this scene is matched with the text of the song. Also, this particular line "try to reach inside of me" is used a lot in the song and this scene is a nice alternative for the other scenes that are used throughout the AMV to fit with the lines each time.
Because I can describe what I like about this scene and can't describe what I don't like it must mean that I like this in the end. It is well done and fitting as far as I can tell. I am sorry if I am sounding too curious but what was the exact motivation to insert that scene in here?
-3:08-3:12 I think I understand why this scene was used, I can see the link with the text of the music. I hope you don't mind me saying this but I feel this scene is a bit too long. Maybe the scene itself isn't too long but the feeling I got while watching this particular scene (I watched the AMV several times on two different moments in one day) does give me a different impression. Maybe it is the pace of the music compared to the slower movements on the screen. I like this scene and in itself I think it is fitting, I am only giving my impression or reaction I got while watching. What I did notice and like was how Rockman's last movements when he inserts the card especially matches with the text.
- 3:13-3:27 I loved the scenes with the three Starforce transformations, and especially with the way how the transformation of (I don't know the exact name) 'Green Dragon' was done.
- 3:28-3:43 A great ending to a really great AMV!
TheWebbuilder and Turbine the Afterburn, you did an awesome job and I can't wait to see the final version. I hope I was able to help you a bit. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Well, to be honest, the decision went something like this:
Quote: | Webb: We're starting to get repetative, we need to shake things up a bit.
Turbine: Yeah, but how?
Webb: Well... *glances over list of scenes* what about that inverted color effect back in 17?
Turbine: Eh... that works! |
Thanks for the input. If you ever go 'huh?' while watching an AMV, then that means that something isn't working right. We needed to know that that scene threw veiwers a curveball, thanks for bringing it up.

Again, if it makes you go 'huh?' then we want to know. I've been reviewing the AMV mentally (since I'm not in a position to actually watch it right now), and I think I can see your point. I'm sure that we can speed it up or splice a few more scenes in there somehow.

I love the way Green Dragon turned out too. ^_^

You've helped us out quite a bit, and we both consider your critique to have been invaluable in this little project. Thanks for taking the time to help us out, it's greatly appreciated. |

And here we are, the final product.

We revamped a fair-sized bit of the ending, but aside from that, there's really nothing new. Enjoy. |

I know I already wrote this in my last message but I just wanted to say that I really like this AMV that you and Turbine the Afterburn have made together. It has turned out really great! There are only a few AMV's I've watched in the past that I still watch regularly today, and now I can add your AMV to that list as well. For me personally it has a lot of replay value. After watching the AMV many times I still enjoy it as much as when the first time I saw it.
I noticed the changes in the last part of the AMV, although I still can't describe the feeling I had in my previous message I can say that after watching the final version, that feeling is gone. I really like the new changes and especially how the scene were Rockman is slotting in his 'Starforce' card is handled. Very well done!
Was this AMV an one-time project or are you and Turbine planning more AMV's in the future? If so, I'll keep my eyes open, I would look forward to see more of your work. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

I'm pretty sure that this wasn't a one-time deal as we're already starting to look into producing another AMV; our partnership's fairly solid, so I imagine that there'll be a few more AMVs from us.
Heh, we've already started to joke about opening "Sticky Throttle Productions". So we're more or less in this for the long run. |

AMV Title: Open Your Heart
Song: Open Your Heart
Artist: Crush 40
Album: Sonic Adventure
Editors: TheWebbuilder
NOTE: This AMV contains S`P`O`I`L`E`R`S for Ryuusei No RockMan. There's one slightly hefty one in there relating to the Star Force and the final boss.

Anyone else noticing a theme here? XD Anyways this is the next-to-last version as usual. |
