This is sprite-based flash series I've been following lately. Without spoiling anything, Mario, Luigi are trying to help Sonic and Shadow find the Chaos Emeralds which were warped into the Mushroom Kingdom, but others are also after them.

Namely Mecha Sonic (the one from Sonic 3 and Knuckles).

The fights are DBZish, but without the staring contests (no manga to follow so none of those filler moments), reliance on energy attacks (the characters only have their in game moves), or waiting for one guy to come in and save them.

They're intense, and in my opinion, very well choreographed.

The first episode is about ten minutes but they get longer. The last two are almost a half hour.

I started to watch it, kinda of a slow start, but I must admit the first fights I've seen stay true to mario, while adding action and humor...
