what are the differences between the Leo, Pegasus, and Dragon versions of the game, I can only tell that Leo is Fire, Pegasus is Ice and Dragon is Grass,
also any new action figures of these ones?
I haven't been keeping track of the series lately so a quick summary would be nice. | Answer: Every game version comes with a default style, and the attacks you use are different. Plus, each version has a bit of an altered storyline, but I think that's enough to say right now. |

...There is no altered storyline. The only thing that changes is the AM Supervisor you associate with. Nothing more. _________________

Well well well...
Upon checking the computers at GameStop today, Dragon finally came up on the reserve list. But get this, Dragon is going to be a GameStop exclusive. That's right, you can only get Star Force Dragon at GameStop's and EB Games.

Interesting, no?

With the game released, I figured it's about time to get this thread off of life support, if possible. I'll post a few more name changes, for those who are curious.
Ikuta-sensei - Mitch Shepar (shouldn't there be a 'd' at the end?)
Harp - Lyra (Harp Note is unchanged)
Libra Balance - Libra Scales (Was this really needed?)
Misora's Manager - Chrys Diamond (I think...)
Chiyokichi - Claud Pincer (Decent pun.)
Tsukasa Futaba - Patrick Springs (? There must be a deeper meaning...)
Heiji Goyoda - Bob Copper (Typical PI-type name)
Ophiuchus - Ophiuca (More research is needed)
Ophiuchus Queen - Ophiuca Queen (Guessing. Haven't seen her name yet.)
Utagai - Tom Dubius (NOT spelt 'dubious')
Hmm, that's all I can recall at this moment. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Ophiuchus Queen has been changed to Queen Ophiuca.

Actually that is proper English. Geo is commenting on how out of place and suspicious they are.
There are typos and stuff, but there aren't that many of them, and there's nothing as cringe-worthy of ''Leg's go'', or Lan saying: ''What am I, Mr. Famous, doing here you ask?'' _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Yeah, the word "suspect" can be an adjective. Saying "The motives seem suspect." is like saying "The motives seem suspicious."

I still have not bought this game yet, and I thought it would be wise to gain some information from some actual Megaman EXE fans. How does this series compare to the Battle Network games? Is it just as fun as the first three entries, or is it lackluster like 4? Is the storyline compelling and interesting? How about the gameplay?
Thanks for any input or feedback I may receive. |

O.K., while Star Force/RnR (henceforth to be merely referred to as SF) is a sequel of sorts to EXE/BN, it really has all of the relation to it's predecessor that the X series had to the Classic. The basic concept is the same, but everything has been revamped.
The concept is still the same, battle takes place on a 3x5 grid (not a 3x6 grid), you select your Battle Cards (special attacks), and then enter battle, one button controls your Buster, the other controls your Cards, and another allows you to pull up a shield at will.
What's different this time around is that MegaMan is stuck on the back row, and you're looking at the battle from an over-the-shoulder perspective. Yes, you read that right, MegaMan is limited to moving left and right along the back row. But it doesn't matter, because you happen to have a Lock On system. By pressing down, you'll automatically lock onto whatever's in front or beside you. Then when you fire off your Battle Card, you'll teleport in so that you're standing right in front of your enemy and attack from there.
To be honest, you'll never miss being able to move forward and backward. It'll never really enter your mind because the Lock On makes up for it.
Another thing to point out is that SF is more of a brawler than a stratagy game. While you can still pull off some devistating combos, you'll get farther faster by going for powerhouse attacks. And since you don't have to worry about Chip Codes, you can put whatever Battle Cards you want into your folder regardless of what else is in there.
Needless to say, the battle system is a blast. Comparing SF to BN4 is like comparing MegaMan X6 to MegaMan 3, there is none.
Plot-wise, SF is fairly solid. Sure, it's got the usual plot-holes and backstory mysteries, but for the most part it makes sense. Geo/Subaru also undergoes a lot of character development, and every major character in the storyline grows in some way. The plot's cohesive and compelling, and it clears itself up as you go along.
All in all, I'd say to go for it. Star Force is an excellent game, and downright addicting... So much so that I'm on my sixth play-through. ^_^;; _________________

I have always played Ryuusei no Rockman, and the one i prefer is the 3rd, because of the Noise Change System, that makes like about 101 Noise Changes that are in the game (counting Simple and Double Noises).
And the Battle System is quite easier to get used to.
But still, the game's storyline is short, but getting all the battle cards takes very long.
I still have it, even though i'm using Noise Cards... |
