Er.

So I saw the Transformers movie today-- I don't care what anyone says, I thought it was amazing. Admittedly, I've never even watched the show or anything, but I still understood and really enjoyed the movie. I'm not going to elaborate, since today's only the release date, but I wanted to know what everyone else thought of it. ^^; For those who like to read the reviews first, they're absolutely ridiculous-- most of them complain about the movie being "too loud" and not being able to tell what's happening in the action-y scenes because the Transformers are supposedly "moving too fast" for the eyes to follow.

What did you expect them to do-- retain the speed similar to that of a flippin' turtle? I mean seriously. xD But yeah, not gonna rant too much about the reviews, either.

Anyway, discussion? o_o

As a Transformers fan who has seen all of the original series (S1, S2, Movie, S3, S4) and all of the beastwars series (S1, S2, S3/Beast Machines) and some of the news series that came out afterwards (Transformers: Robots in Disguise, etc..) I can tell you that this movie delivered in the way of fan service. Other then appealing to the fans, this movie was really well made, the plot, the CG, the action, everything was really awesome in this movie.

For me, its the kind of movie you would pay to see again in movie theaters several times and then buy when it comes out on DVD, thats how much I enjoyed it.

I've seen it too many times in the past week ^^;;

Needless to say, I loved it! It wasn't just all SFX, there was a good plotline and it's able to be followed by newcomers to the series, because the movie introduces everyone to the audience for the first time. I'd definately buy this on DVD, and probably watch it repeatedly too.

One of my fav quotes from the movie would have to be: "Is it fear or courage that compells you fleshlings?" Megatron.

Also got a bit of a shiver when Optimus said "Autobots, Roll Out!" ^_^

10/10, Best movie I've seen this year!!

I LOVED this movie. I saw it on the 2nd, and it was great.

I really liked how there was so down-n-dirty hardcore action scenes, but there were always some good one-liners that made me chuckle.

The one scene where Ironhide, Jazz, Bumble Bee, Optimus, and Ratchet are all waiting for Sam to get the glasses and they're just hiding around outside the house. That scene stretched a bit too long for me, but it was hilarious. XDD HOW DO YOU NOT SEE THEM?!?! <_>

It rocked so hard. My favorite quote was, "I'll drive, you shoot."

I had my doubts on this movie at first, but now I think I'll be inclined to see it in theaters instead of waiting for the DVD.

I'm glad to know everyone else liked to it too-- I was afraid the reviews would triumph. o_o

I agree with Xhunter though, I'll probably end up seeing it several more times in theaters and buy the DVD the day it comes out. I think they did a good job of balancing out the action, humor, and seriousness of the movie all at once, and that's one of the things that made it so enjoyable, I think. The CGI was amazing, and the last action sequence of the movie just completely blew me away.

My favorite quote?
Jazz: "You want a piece of me, bitch?"
Megatron: "I want TWO pieces of you!" *rips him in half*

Jazz spoke ghetto. 8D *dances*
And Bumblebee was adorable! I can't exactly pinpoint why but I think he was absolutely adorable. xD Probably because he was smaller than the rest and those little blue eyes just made me squeal. <3 *shot*

I liked the movie, I already seen it twice in the past few days. However my gripe was I felt the ending was a lackluster and too much Michael Bay'eque Drama, wwwwwayyyyyyyyyy too much! It didn't need to feel like I was watching "Armageddon" here, bleh! Still I'll be buying it on DVD when it comes out later this year.

Yeah, those puppydog eye's got me too! ^___^

I gotta restrain myself from seeing it again. I've already seen it 3 times since the 28th, and seeing movies in the cinema isn't exactly cheap anymore (they jacked the prices up 50c again! Sad).

Movie critics always stuff up when it comes to action movies. Sometimes I wonder if they like ANY action films at all... >.>

You just don't listen to some or most critics. They really won't be what you think.
And so, you can take reviews from the internet more then real critics.

i loved it. it was a really good movie. i think my favorite quote was: "Bumblebee, stop lubricating him!" - Optimus Prime or, "You seem to have a rodent infestation. Shall I take care of them?" - Ironhide

Just went to see it with my friends a few hours ago, and left the theater rather satisfied. If you go in expecting this thought-provoking epic, you'll be disappointed. But it's a wonderful sit down, laugh at the jokes, marvel at how cool the robots looked and moved (because they were), and enjoy the actions scenes kind of movie. It drags a bit here and there, and they had Optimus and Megatron say and do some mildly corny things, but these are things that can be easily overlooked.

Definitely added to my DVD list.

Oh yes, and favorite line? Well, not so much a line, more a scene: When the two are riding in Bumblebee and Mikeala says "If this guy can change into a giant robot, why does he change back into this hunk of junk?" After spitting them out in protest, he goes back, imprints another car, and comes back with a slick new look. Clever. Wink

What'd I think? Hmmm..... lemme put it in three words petaining to the movie....

"All Hail Megatron!" XD

The Transformers looked awsome! I love to movie and I really want to see it again. I have got to say, this is the first movie where everyone clapped to every scene.(Literally!) The flow of the plot was smooth, and everything fell into place nicely. This movie is literally the #1 movie in America!

My favorite thing said in the movie:"My sensor is telling me the male human wishes to mate with the female."-Ironhide ROFL! XD
I loved it how Optimus Prime said "Oops, my bad" XD
And when Bumble Bee opened up his gas cap and it got all over that FBI guy.
XD
And I thought the mini robot was hilarious. He had this weird voice that made me laugh.

I'd give this movie a 20/10 for a powerful display of action, hilarity, and the outstaning plot. Loved the movie so much!

Saw this movie today. I have to say, it was worth it. Though I would love to see it on the big screen again, I can't, considering they jacked up the prices and I want to see Potter 5. I can't wait until the DVD comes out.

I second that, LOL, I didn't catch it until now. Still hate his design though, probally the worst in the movie, Also didn't like how Starscream looked either. I can't help it, I love the G1 versions ten times better, still the movie was great, except from the drawn out dramatics
