Ryuusei Ep. 38 Talkback (Too cute for spoilers)

I'll be giving my usual oddball description, but I am also going to include some small plot info that the majority of us could never figure out without some help from a Japanese translator. Credit for this translated info goes to Finalzidane-X over at the On-Air forums. Permission received to use here. I'll try to * things to keep that clear.

At FM HQ, Wolf and Ox are getting into a heavy argument. Ophiuchus and...LIBRA??!! (I think Adachi wasn't let in on the last episode in time )...seem to be trying to mediate or throw their two cents in. Wolf doesn't take kindly to Libra butting in, and decides to take off. Not before Ox gets one last word in.

After the title screen, we see a young girl walk into some kind of robo pet store. Gonta, Kizzy, Luna and Subaru are there, having fun with the puppies. Important plot note that isn't my writing: *Enabled to interface with a person´s Transer, Radio Wave Pets become an extension of their capabilities, and nice partners to have a good time. Subaru notices that there is also a Radio Wave Pet contest for the best pair of Man and Pet, and gives Warrock the funny proposition of him being a Radio Wave Pet and win the prize, Warrock oddly drops a moment of silence, but still meaning "yes."* Little girl then leaves rather abruptly.

Outside, the ghostbusters are at it again. Goyoda senses Wolf, and enjoys screaming his own name as he chases the FM throughout town, including on a pink swan boat.

Adachi likes rainy scenes. The girl is walking home under her umbrella. Wolf appears under the bridge she's walking across. No time for rest, Wolf, Goyoda is still on your tail! Wolf notices the girl walking and flees to her transer. Finally safe, so he thinks.

Morning in some room that has a doghouse. Oh look, it's a cute puppy. What the? It's Wolf! He wonders what's going on as he sees the cage he's been placed in. What? Paws, tail, what's going on?!!? It's that girl, and she's got crazy psycho face. Points and runs behind the door, going to tell her mom. *From the yelling, Wolf hears the words Radio Wave Pet, which indicates that he was accidentally put inside a Radio Wave Pet body while he was napping.*

For whatever reason, the girl then disables his cage and sneaks across the wall in fear for her life. But then she gets some courage and pokes Wolf on the nose. He doesn't bite! Hooray! He's a cute wolf puppy! She introduces herself as what sounds like Mai Asakura. Wolf starts to plot about the stuff he can do in this new form and gets an evil look on his face. But then Mai orders him to sit and do other stupid pet tricks. GRRRRRR!!!

The next morning, Mai goes to school, saying goodbye to her new pet. Sounds like she's calling him something that sounds like "Ickey." Wolf looks behind him and checks out the doghouse. It's got the name Frankie on it. Frankie is an evil creature with glowing eyes that lives in a pile of rolled up paper balls inside the doghouse. Guess he's not social. Hilarious Wolf images here.

Hello, vaccuuming mom! Oh, that's it. Ah, the life of a dog. Wolf relaxes watching the ceiling. Then he decides to look outside, but Goyoda is out there. I swear he has ADD or something. Goyoda, Goyoda, Goyodaaaa!!!

Hey, now we move to Subaru. He's twitching. War Rock is apologizing. For what? For running a lawnmower into his satellite prize thingy he got at the mall way back in the first Wolf episodes. *Apparently, War Rock is in training to control devices safely for this competition next episode. And he's failing miserably*

Mai comes back from school and feeds Wolf magical Tetris L and T blocks. Wolf barks at that horrible food, but it makes Mai cry. And Frankie glare with evilness. Sweating up a storm, Wolf decides to devour his food.

Later that evening, F-Gonta takes control of Subaru mind!!! No wait, that's not what happened. Best explained not by me: *Subaru´s hopes of getting Warrock ready in time seem to be fading away. It seems like Warrock is ready, but it´s too late for a Radio Wave Pet body. Warrock of course, is relieved that he won´t have to be in such an embarassing moment, but a sudden call from Gonta puts a grin on Subaru´s face. An evilish grin like the Grinch from ear to ear, and Warrock screams in panic.*

Mai is petting Wolf and has some more commands for him to learn. Shake, Wolf! Catch a frisbee, Wolf! Frisbee? Round?!! FULL MOOOOON! He howls and catches it, but no change takes place. Wolf's a cute obedient puppy. He now gets a gigantic pile of dog food. And a digital bath. And plays more frisbee. And it seems like he's also getting a soft side, as Libra did last arc. Wacky huggles time. Then, while Mai is sleeping on the floor, Wolf pulls the covers off her bed and over her. Then going to sleep nearby as we fade out. Awwwwww...

Libra is there. WTH! I thought he was doing his game show. That aside, Wolf as a wave pet = ROFLI! I must disagree about the name, though, as I heard her call Wolf "Ricky".

It seems that all the FMs are starting to find their places living contently among humans.

And that grin on Subaru's face. The only other time I've seen it is on Tsukasa's face.

I have to say this had to be a very cute episode..And did even better with Wolf Frost (thats his name right?) being a Puppy like dog lol^^

This is a 2 parter episode like Libra right? I think their gonna show the FM which I agree with the others, start to feel like home on earth....Some..not all.

I love Subaru's face after the contest lol, I litterly had to hold my breath from laughing since it was really late at night.

So much for me thinking I could go with somebody else's attempt at translation to help understand things better... At least it was moderately close. Ah well, thanks for the clarification, NumberGirl.

Yeah I didn't go back to double check if Subaru actually got the denpa telescope in Ep. 20/21, guess I should have before I typed that. I just remembered it looked like the same device.

And it's Wolf Forest, Robin. Could just be a typo on your part, but 'Forest' is the correct name. And yes, there is one more part to this "episode" if you will.

Wolf forest..huh..I thought it was wolf frost..Oh well almost sound the same any way. I wonder who that evil dog is myself under that dog house.

Now who discovered Wolf "forest" (So I'll wont be mistaken it heh^_^0) in the transer (almost said p.e.t>_<) The mom or the girl?
