DDR Anyone?

I was just curious as to who here plays DDR, whether it's at home or at the arcade, what level you're up to, and what your favourite song is?

Me, I play at the arcade only, and am in transition between Light and Standard. Right now my fav song is Dam Darim (i think that's how you spell it Confused

) on Standard. I can only do 5 step songs normally, but can do a couple 6 steps too as long as they're in Light.

The main reason I play is that to me, it's an awesome way to keep fit and improve co-ordination skills. That and I love it.

So, what's everyone else's opinion? ^_^

I'm playing DDR right now...well...not RIGHT now since I'm typing this, I'm taking a break.

I've only played DDR Mario...I don't think I could do any others.

DDR Mario's more than enough of a challenge in S mode Wink

The SS level's good enough for hardcore DDRers, too, in my opinion.

Normal for all other DDR's for me.

Not to mention the arcade regulars that make you stand in line for hours because they have an infinite supply of tokens for the machine Mad

Forever 2nd Mix: Boom-Boom Dollar -> La Ritmo Tropical -> Boys -> Dub-I-Dub -> Stomp to my Beat -> (then reverse)

And then I switched to Taiko Drum Master since my knees started acting up Laughing

I play DDR when I get the chance. I'm not exactly good, but I can play on mostly standard in the arcade. I only play for fun, and not like my classmates who actually make big fancy-pants competiions out of it. Almost forgot, I usually play these songs: Logical Dash, AM-3P, Abyss, Healing Touch (Angelic Mix), Afronova Primeval, Dynamite Rave, and 1998.

I have DDR Extreme 2 and the rare Mario Mix DDR. I knew someone at gamestop and he called me the second the next wave of them came in and I was one of 4 that got them. I also plan to get the Hottest Party one for Wii. I still cant get off the beginner level, but its a good workout, Ive made it part of my workout routine, its more fun than running and does the same thing Smile

i've played DDR Extreme at this one place in Windsor (Ontario for those who were wondering) and i do the following songs on Beginner mode ( i know i can't do basic) We Will Rock You, So in Love, Graduation, La Copa De La Vida and air and i've also done Butterfly as well

I think there's only like...2/3 of us that play Heavy/Oni.

I myself play Heavy/Oni exclusively..and..uh..I guess I can pass every song...except FaxX Oni..and Felm Oni. So...I guess I play 10s and up. [I play a bit of ITG, too]

My favorite mix so far has to be UNIVERSE for the 360. I love Koibito, the Tsugaru remix, and MAXIMIZER.

Although my favorite song just for pure awesome is probably MEI. Great steps my friend made :D

I play at home. I am somewhere between Light and Standard on the new games. I live in a two story house, my parents won't let me play DDR upstairs, I'm too lazy to bring my PS2 downstairs, so all I got is the very second DDR that came out, DDR Konamix. And that is why I am somewhere between Light and Standard mode in the current DDR games.

I don't really like to play in the arcade for one reason, the mats are too small (or maybe mine is too big?) Hmm......

I have DDR Extreme 2 and SuperNOVA. I usually do either Standard of Heavy, depending on the song. I've also done a couple of Challenge songs before, but I'm really not that special when it comes down to going up against other people.

I agree with CrimsonZero about the whole arcade mat thing. Those bloody metal mats are exactly why I hate playing the arcade version.

The whole audience thing doesn't faze me, not anymore. If I stuff up, than fair enough, I just get off and let someone else have a go, or chuck in another $2 coin. And the metal mats aren't that bad... not that I know any different, I don't own a home version. I get the impression that they'd slide on the carpet. Do they do that?

Just started playing last week (EXTREME I believe?) and are somewhere between Standard and Light. (I can do Firefly and Love Love Shine on Standard, but those I heard are easy songs so meh.) Don't have a PS2 so the only chance is to play ones at arcade. (Might get Hottest Party though.)

I've been playing Stepmania since last month so my rhythm was pretty good, but my feet couldn't keep up that well. >___> Ended up getting Cs and Bs.

Haven't really gotten to play most of the songs, but my favorite songs (or ones that I try to play every time I get to an arcade) are DIVE, Firefly, Love Shine and PEACE (Yep, all Be for U songs). I like Speed Over Beethoven and Freckles but I never got to play them yet. Maybe next time.

I play DDR whenever I go to an arcade...but I can barely keep up. I'm okay at beginner, but when it comes to Light, I fail D:

I play mostly on Standard mode at the moment. My friend is really good, and she beats me at every song while playing on Heavy mode. lol. My favorite song is Long Train Running, but I also really like to dance to Candy. I have my own game at home, but I sometimes play the arcade versions too, although I tend to not like those as much. The arcade I go to doesn't keep their machines in very good condition, so it can be hard to pass a game when the dance pads don't always work. >.<

Someone totally smashed the forward arrow on the left side at my local arcade. It looks like someone hit it with a crowbar!! Man, now I can't play with my friends until they fix it and they said it could be a month before that happens... D:
