Ryusei no Rockman 2 details *lots of spoilers*

Well, DrkXFuZion of TUS has posted a highly detailed summary of RnR2's plot skeleton. So, this is all his.
Unsurprisingly, there are 3 versions. They are Green Shinobi, Thunder Beserker, and Fire Dinosaur. The plot revolves around three Oopats (Out of Place artifacts) that corelate to the above transformations: a shruiken, a sword, and a fossil respectively. In addition, the Maoi heads of Easter Island, and Stonehendge in Britain may have some part to play in the plot. Coupling this with a boss that resembles a Yeti, it's pretty safe to assume this installement will revolve around Cryptology.
New features include a new Transer, and a new Wave Board of sorts. Looking at it, one might assume that it will allow Subaru to travel on the Wave Roads without the aid of Denpa Henkan. But, how will that effect Virus encounters?
Speaking of Virus encounters, the 3x5 battle grid has been replaced by three parallel Wave Roads against a backdrop similar to your present location.
Finally, the Personal Card that dominated the top screen has been replaced by a picture of the sky. What this has to do with the plot remains to be seen.

I was wondering when someone would post this. But I saw this at atomic fire recently. So instead of ice they have electric, the ninja is the same element as dragon, and we have a new transer right? Maybe they'll give kizamaro something to do. Even tohru did something.

Although... in that screenshot just below the yeti guy, is it just me, or is that a younger version of Maddy I see? Shocked

For some reason the Fire transformation makes me think War Rock's saying "I'MA CHARGIN' MAH LASAR"

But that's just what it looks like to me. Other than that I think these transformations look really...bad...

Well, the Fire Dinosaur and the Thunder Beserker look cool. I hope that Beserker does the Elec element justice, seeing as it got shafted when it came to 'style changes' throughout most of EXE.

I bet the plot will revolve around old, ancient, yet highly advanced civilizations. I wonder if Atlantis will be involved? This looks interesting. It's a nice shift in focus to Earth after the outer space theme of SF1. (Not that I minded it one bit.)

Well what ever floats Capcoms boat I guess...I really dont care what they do with the story or the gameplay, I'll buy it just because its Megaman.

Hopefully though they won't over do the tranceformations like they did with Bn4-6 cause it did kinda got a little repetitive in a good way though. EXE6 though I say was fine on the account you can't just rely on normal and beast out forms.

Any way..Whats the story plot gonna be about this time around? Or they havent announce the story yet?

I like the new forms. I may pick one of these up. Maybe the shinobi but I'd like to know more before I remember to save some money.

New info, credited to Atomic-Fire and the Undersquare.

There are actually two versions, not three. Berserker/Shinobi and Berserker/Dinosaur. Yes, you read that right, Thunder Berserker is in both versions. The player can also somehow merge the two forms thru Double Tribe On, and there appears to be an 'Ultimate Form' of some sort, a combination of the three other forms. Though according to Fireman, it might only be possible to play as one form at a time, as there appears to be a 'Character Select'-esque screen for the forms.

Apparently the action takes place in a place called TK City, though I'm betting it's to Echo Ridge what Den City was to ACDC, in other words, Echo Ridge is just a suburb of TK. TK City appears to be working on a technology to make EM waves materialize, so those who have played Star Force can probably guess why Geo would have an interest in this...

Storyline-wise, it appears to begin with Luna and co. going to see a 3D movie in TK and being attacked by Phantom Black, the game's first boss.

There are three confirmed bosses, Phantom Black, a 'Phantom of the Oprea' type figure, who attacks with a pole and a claw that comes from his cape. The second is a figure referred to as 'Orihime', who could quite possibly be a Virgo FM. The third is the yeti from before. The former two are part of an organization that is after the ooparts, is seems.

Now the juicy part: the new rival character. His name is Bly, and is a humanoid figure with yellow skin, black bodysuit, purple visor, white hair, and a scowl that would give Harpuia a run for his money. Whether he's an FM Ningen or not is unknown, but he prefers to be alone. His fighting style appears to be melee based, and Corocoro seems to try comparing him to Chaud, Protoman, and Bass in some way.

Finally, EXE5 DS voiceovers appear to be returning, with Fuyuka Oura (Subaru's seiyuu) calling out attack names and stuff similar to EXE5 DS. Can't say I'm looking forward to this feature again.

And also, Sonia will definatley be returning, and there are only two version, one containing the two I wanted. Yeeeee~.

Well that's good that the characters are back. Maybe kizamaro will get a FM so he can be useful. But now we have a rival. I think we have every main character we need now. And yay for two versions and not three.

Some new scans provided by Dark Napalm.

Only three. The first showcases Phantom Black. Nothing really new, just some battle screen shots. Orihime's full name is Doctor Orihime. No idea if Orihime is a human or not anymore.

Next scan shows Bly and the Yeti fellow from the first Corocoro. Still no info on him though. Phantom Black and Bly seem to be working for Orihime to retrieve the ooparts.

Final scan shows new official art of Luna and co plus Sonia. Oddly enough, Pat seems to be absent, which I find curious since the ending of SF1 seemed to cement his role as one of Geo's core friends.

My friend showed me a cool Japanese video of this game. I think it's on Capcom's main site or something. :/

Anyway, this installment sounds awesome. Glad my favorite characters (Luna, Misora, and Kizamaro. ...What?) are sticking around. I'm definately getting the Dinosaur version. ...For no other reason than that I liked dinosaurs when I was a kid.

DINOSAAAAUR.

Anyway, voiceovers? Like EXE5? HECK YES. I wonder what they'll sound like in English. ...Eventually. *wonders if they'll stick in any silly accents*
