Fanfic Library Rules

+ONLY post fanfiction that is yours. Even if you have their permission. Although it is not as extreme as fanart, it is still theft.

+Be nice. Give constructive criticism. Tell what you liked about the author what you liked, what you don't like, and some grammar and spelling mistakes that might be in the fic. Not everyone catches them!

+ If you don't like a pairing, stuff it. You can't flame an author based only on that.

+Please refrain from only going "I like your fic Smile

". Though it's nice to get comments, that is spamlike. Tell the author what you like and what you hope to see more of. Your wish just might come true.

+If you feel it is necessary, please give your fanfic a rating in the topic. That way, you can tell vieweres ahead of time of things that may get flamed.

+ An author of a story can double post only if it's to update the story.

+ Rating allowed for fanfics: G to R. NC-17 fanfics are NOT allowed.

+Plagiarism is NOT acceptable. It is against the LAW (in most places anyway). If we catch you plagiarizing, the penalty will be a ban and report to the original author, no matter how little the content stolen. If you catch another plagiarizing, please notify an administrator or moderator at ONCE.

+ No explicit or implied sex, rape, or things of a pedofilic or incestuous nature in fanfictions. This board has many younger viewers who cannot be exposed to that kind of material.

+Please do not post ideas. It clutters up topics that do have fanfics. Unless you have the fanfic ready, don't post it.

+ You are allowed to post fanfiction in other languages, as long as you keep it in one language (multi-language fanfics can be hard to decipher, y'know) and you put a visible warning in the topic subject.

+ Refrain from posting fanfics that contain character bashing. By character bashing we mean making repeated negative comments, actions that have a character look in a negative light without justification. (There's a difference between everyone hiting Shun in manga canon, to, say making Medi look bad in a fanfic because she's after your so beloved Rockman.)

As far as I can remember, you can't post a fanfic that isn't yours. Nor link to it. You can, however, mention it.

I edited the sticky 'cause Malik wrote "pictures" instead of "fanfiction". Silly Malik, copy-pastes are for Otenkos. D:

I somewhat remember there being a rule dealing with successive/rapid posting of new chapters. I'm not 100% on it but it went something like:

"if you're posting a new chapter less than 24 hrs after posting the previous, please just edit the previous post and add the next chapter to it UNLESS there's already several posts following that chapter"

Or something similar. Please clarify. I've got Ch 01 of 'I, Saito' about ready for posting.

You are recommended to do whatever you want with your own story. If you hate it after a few chapters, kill it for all we care. Or continue it, but if you know it's lousy, don't expect other people to respond.

I was wondering if it would be possible to re-title a thread, or at least request that it be changed. I recently wrote a fanfic and stuck chapters 1 and 2 in the same thread, which said, "Adver Man: The Ultimate Evil; A Slur Fanfic, Part 1."

Would it be possible to edit or re-title the threat so that it reads: "Adver Man: The Ultimate Evil; A Slur Fanfic"? I just don't want people to think the thread only contains one chapter. If there's a policy that would allow this, I'd be eternally grateful.

***UPDATE!!! It's okay, I figured out how to edit the thread title.

I'm just curious about this and I want an honest answer before I do anything the might cause a problem in this site. Now, is it okay for me to put up fanfics that are not related to Rockman Exe in this forum's Fanfic Library? (I'm sorry, but I just have to be sure about this.) I want to put a fic in this forum's library that's actually a crossover fic with Sonic the Hedgehog in it. And it's between the ratings G and R like your forum's rules state. I like to write fanfics that people could enjoy and I don't put nudity or filth in any of my stories. I just like to write adventure, romance, and comedy fics. I'll be waiting for an answer so I could know what to do. Thank you.

You are allowed to. The rules are very similar to the fanart forum's. Plus the Genre topic states the "OT" thing. If non-Rockman fics weren't welcome, that "OT" thing wouldn't be there.
