Like my post stated, they don't allow non-Americans to watch.

I'm kinda apprehensive about the next episode. See, the majority of Ryuusei is broken down into two parters. However, the upcoming Cygnus Wing intro, and Gemini Spark's intro are both three parters. If they were combined without anything cut, we would have 27 minutes and 25 seconds of footage. And that leaves only 2 minutes and 45 seconds for commercials, something virtually unheard of on American TV. And what about the human virus filler? And the mail filler? What about Cancer Bubble's intro? Those are stand-alone, single episodes. How are those going to be treated?

In short, I'm afraid that if the dub follows its current format of merging two episodes, it's gonna throw its own storytelling way off. I'm afraid that the three parters will end up with large chunks cut to allow for commericals for when it airs on TV, and for the sake of running time.

I really hope Viz doesn't do that, for the dub has been treated well so far, but I have a felling the episodes will be edited for the corporate interests sponsoring CN.

They can just slap single-episodes together and show a single episode with the first part of a three-episodes arc, leaving a big cliffhanger for the next week. They didn't strictly follow the order of the eps in EXE, so they aren't going to do it with Ryuusei either.

It still messes up the storytelling. While WB did merge a few of the episodes of EXE's dub, they at least were part of the same story arc. For example, the N1 battle with Stoneman and Bombman was merged with the Yaito and Enzan episode immediately before, which led into the battle. Now, to us, it's apparent that something was cut, but the overall story is more or less understandable.

However, at the rate Star Force is going, next episode will be combined from Ryuusei 5 and 6. Okay, that's fine and all. But dub episode 4's first half will have Cygnus Wing's defeat, while the second will suddenly switch over to Taurus Fire. Yes, it's a good cliffhanger, but the plot flow will seem disjointed.

As for the one shoters, I guess you could combine them, but they will still be disjointed plot wise. You could ignore them, except for the fact that one of those one shoters introduces Cancer Bubble.

It's a question of coherency. They could merge the three parters and the three one shoters into full length episodes, but that, as I said before, cuts into commerical time, something that corporate America frowns upon.

There are only two real "filler" episodes: episode 12 and episode 19.
Episode 18 is, in a way, a follow-up of episode 17, since Subaru goes to find the identity of Harp Note, connecting with the end of episode 17.
Though, I have to admit, it will look a bit awkward...

I don't think this is ever going to hit TV, so they can honestly make it however long they want to....I believe.

I already downloaded it. And thanks to Movie Maker, I successfully combined the halves together.

The dub was quite well done. Omegaxis sounds so different than the japanese counter part, where he speak in a very proud tone. However, one only disappointment is that Luna doesn't have much emotion... The japanese counter part scream in fear while the English one can talk when dying.

One thing in mind now... What will be the transformation slogan for the dub? EM Wave Changes is confirmed but will the second part be "ON AIR" like the japanese counter part?

According to wikipedia (gotta love that site Razz) Star Force will premiere sometime in August on CN with a 2 hour special. That's four eps (8 Japanese eps) crammed into one.

I just saw the third episode "Trouble Takes Wing", not exactly what I expected but still good nonetheless. Apparently, they named Utagai "Tom Dubius" in the dub, Cygnus' name is pronounced with an S sound at the beginning, and Geo's henshin comes with a phrase, "EM Wave Change, On Air!". But, I am disappointed that they won't let Geo say the battle card's name anymore. Go ahead, check out the new episode on Toonami Jetstream (for anyone that is in America only, gomen Embarassed )!

Heehee Tom Dubious. The name is so bad that it's awesome.

Oh man. I don't know why but I am so in love with Tom's VA. <3

Tom Dubious... *snicker*

Hmm, Tom's voice doesn't fit Cygnus Wing as much as Utagai's did. On the other hand, Copper's VA continues to provide much win.

As I feared, the storytelling is gonna be thrown outta wack next episode.

I watched the Ryuusei 18 sub afterwards, and I noticed something. The dub's video contrast seems to be much lighter than the original. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice this? Everything's brighter in the dub.

Aside from the quality problems during the action scenes due to jetstream's piece of shit video player (I shudder to think of how it'll perform during the second Rockman vs Cygnus Wing fight), this was another decent dubbed episode.

The player runs okay for me. This episode was exciting. Everything is unfolding nicely. Those names just might stick. Geo Stellar. Tom Dubious. Did anyone see the AD?

LOL Dubious. When I first read that info here, I thought it was the Frenchily-pronounced "Doo-bwah," but no, it is Dubious. That's hilariously bad but great.

Only real complaint was showing part of the episode in the introductory preview. And having Omega narrate without a proper flashback transition kinda made one part confusing, until I realized his voice wasn't narrating that point. Otherwise, just about everything was kept, save a pan of Amaken and a little bit of Mega's travel down the wave road.

I was playing part of the Jetstream vid, pausing, then playing the sub and I think Tom's voice actually does match up rather well with Utagai. His whines and screams especially. And I initially thought the same as ComicX6 that Tom's voice didn't quite fit Cygnus Wing, but after checking, neither did Utagai's totally in episode 6. I think we both were thinking he needed to have Cygnus voice, which he doesn't get until later in the series. I do agree it could be a little more menacing, but I don't think it's really that bad comparing the two.

I'd say the quality issue is just because of how streaming shows are played. If you compare screencaps from the timestamped raws to the stampless ones, usually there is a image quality difference too. Don't think it's a big deal. Seeing it on TV and hopefully in the future on DVD, of course there will be a difference.

Why do you say the storytelling will be out of whack next week, ComicX6? All they showed in the preview was Ep. 7 stuff. We still don't know if they'll finish it up with 8 or a filler ep. And the lines they showed pretty much match up again, so you can't mean a translation issue. So what's making you say you know it'll be out of whack?
