Didn't I say that 2007 was the 5th! Link! LOL

Well snap, doesn't mean we can't bust out the balloons in '08

I thinkin' I might start paying for this trip before '07 is over? Can we plan flights like a year in advance?!?

You can, but there's usually a catch. Either it'll be ridiculously expensive (i.e. quadruple the price), or there'll be restrictions on the tickets (usually in the form of huge fees if you have to cancel or switch flights).

So I wouldn't recommend buying tickets before you're absolutely sure you'll be able to go and can have your travel plan details set in stone right down to the time of each flight.

Stupid Day's Inn filled up so fast, how am I gonna talk my friends into coming now? Laughing For flights you can usually find out the rates ahead of time but can't book good rates (aka air/skymiles plans) until at least February/March. Hmm, must do a better job of my Zero costume for next year, like actually completing the armour in time. It got done for Ai-kon the following weekend, but still. Any rooms spots available still? I'm looking into booking a room myself but if someone has a spot...

I hear the Holiday Inn is the next best deal after the Days Inn.

._.; I missed the courtesy call from Days Inn yesterday, so I missed out on getting a good room... ; ;

I called up Holiday Inn -- even Raddisson -- and they're sold out, too.

Ended up booking at Marriott. Again. . . . I'll hold the rooms until someone miraculously decides to not book at Days/Holiday Inn anymore (%.000001 chance), so if anyone that wants to go here can't get a room, I'll be glad to share. Makes the cost less for everyone.

Apparantly the Days Inn con block rooms were jacked up to $229 a night. Which is really wierd, cause we made reservations in their non-con block rooms, and they were only $199 a night. Really stupid of them, there's a lot of pissed off people.

Hn...I almost encountered something similar to that last year when I first booked with Marriott. They tried to charge me more than the con rate when I told them extra people were rooming with me.

But after a bit of talking and word warping, I scored a double room at single price. *cackle*

I'll try to do the same again this year, but I might not be as successful.

The thing about reserving a room at a singles price is... they will give priority of double bed rooms to those who have reserved under the price of having more people. So you are not guaranteed a double-bed, since they think you will only have one or two people.

...or so I have heard from stories over at the Otakon boards.

I have a Wave Transer DX! And of course, anything I buy that can be used as a cosplay prop, I usually buy with the intention of using it as a cosplay prop. In other words, I'll hopefully have a Subaru costume to go along with the Transer for Otakon 2008.

In short: If I make it, we'll have yet another Subaru (which brings the total to... err.. how many? XD). At least for one day, I don't wanna toss aside my Netto cosplay.

I have a feeling we're going to be invaded by Subaru's, instead of the usual army of Netto's we get. XD

Yeah, I kinda figured a lot of people would be picking a costume that includes shorts, considering the summer weather in Baltimore. XD

Of course, I'm not complaining about being part of a army of clones, because I'll be comfortable. XD

I'll only be Subaru if Dragonman & I can't pull of Gemini Spark.

Hopefully we can. And hopefully we'll have time to choreograph Gemini Thunder.

:O OH GOOD, I MADE THE CUT <3 You like me, you really like me ;3;

I'm working on a Tron costume (as well as a Black Jack and an undecided Phoenix Wright-themed costume) so hopefully I can return to the ranks of the Otarockman gathering <3

That was a great Tron outfit, but would be even better if you pull off her Scientist outfit with the Whitecoat and Swirly glasses. I love Tron when she's dressed that way Razz
