Ryuusei no Rockman 49 (museum-rific summ. + spoilers)

OK, it's a bad pun, but I did manage to see the episode (weird, huh?). I will note now that I will do the same system I used in my previous topic. Now, enter Ryuusei no Rockman 48: Skeleton Change

Once more, the title song has been cut out of the episode (aww, I miss Heart Wave). The first scene starts out inside FM Headquarters, where our transformed villains are currently. Cancer is still bandaged head to toe from the last attack (FINALLY!!!). Ox is yet again sleeping through the whole thing. Wolf is (now confirmed to be a dog) fooling around, Ophiucus is acting girly while she talks about the comet, Rockman, and everyone's affcted state, while Libra now repeats "Konichiwa!" (Hello!). This foolishness goes on for a few seconds. Then, Ophiucus talks again, but she now realizes that Crown is gone. The scene zooms out, with Ophiucus acting just as opposite as everyone else.

Now, we see Crown on the wave road still speculating the effect of the comet on Rockman. Now confident, Crown decides to face Rockman with this newfound knowledge and powered-up state.

Title: Gykotsu Chaynju!

This next scene shows the Kodama Town Dinosaur Museum. This was the school trip destination Subaru was supposd to go to (no thanks to a certain crab). It has a few familiar dinosaurs on display. Kizamaro seems very excited about it. Subaru-kun and Gonta are also as amazed as Kizamaro. He just can't wait! Our dear Luna, though, doesn't seem as excited about it as everyone else. Everyone decides to split up to sight see more, but Warrock stops Subaru-kun . He comments about something (maybe something embarassing as Subaru-kun implies), and Subaru-kun just brushes it off while telling the comet to hurry up and go.

Whoa, something's wrong with the museum. Luna is heard screaming, causing Subaru-kun and co. to come. She points to what seems to be a black hole in the ceiling? It disappears for a second, but then a blinding light shines over everyone. Crown, who is missing his body (WTH) observes the scenery below. Subaru-kun now has to face Crown. But, as it would seem, Crown approaches the Triceratops (my bad, thanks AMZ) skeleton and fuses with it, thereby possessing it. This is the work of the comet, obviously infered by the flashback of Crown's badly drawn skeleton thing. He now demands that Rockman come and face him, while reaking havoc in the museum. Everyone runs away from the now enraged Crown. Subaru-kun needs to deal with this somehow. Warrock suggests that Rockman should be able to help.

Denpa henkan! Now Rockman confronts Crown, and decides to attack first. ROCKKU BUSTER! Wait a minute, why isn't he attacking!? Warrock has already made clear that he won't fight, and now suggests that there must be another way through this. Crown doesn't wait and decides to attack him with a leg, causing Rockman to slam into a wall.

Meanwhile, back at FMHQ, Libra (who I labeled as a parrot) greets him "Konichiwa, Rockman!", twice. Ophiucus, still acting girlishly, is happy to see Crown is winning. Wolf, well... er... he's drooling over those bones (see, I told you he's a dog!).

Back in the museum, Crown approaches Rockman while Kizamaro notices him not attacking and Luna cheers on. Warrock ask if he's alright, but Subaru-kun says that he's not alright and that he needs to find a way to defeat Crown. Warrock just says one thing, "Don't fight". Just before Crown charges at him, Rockman decides to use a battle card. Alas, Warrock fails to resort to fighting and refuses to become a weapon. Crown charges at him, and Rockman decides to use his physical strength instead by kicking Crown in the head. This causes Crown to separate from the now shattered skeleton. He's a little distraught, but he decides to not give up.

GYKOTSU CHAYNJU! He now transfers his body into a pachycephalosaurus (once again, thanks AMZ) and then charges at Rockman again. This time, he didn't dodge the attack in time. Luna is worried about him, and Kizamaro just utters a unique fact about the dinosaur.Crown then separates himself and fuses with another dinosaur.

GYKOTSU CHANYJU! Now, he's a fast deinonychus (thank you, this time, ccd-erckie)! Kizamaro warns Rockman about the dinosaur, and then Crown charges at him once more. Rockman manages to block the attack (with Warrock's mouth!), but Warrock tells Subaru-kun to stop attacking. Rockman manages to break the skeleton, causing Crown to separate. It is not over yet.

GYKOTSU CHAYNJU! Oh no, now he's a TYRANOSAURUS REX!!! Kizamaro mentions that it is the most powerful of the dinosaurs. Now Crown charges at Rockman, and Rockman decides to punch him. This action comes in vain, however, as a T-Rex's head is as strong as titanium. Crown counters with a tail whack and grounds him. Then, he uses his signature thunder attack on him, shocking Rockman while Warrock comments still. Luna is now really worried, while Ophiucus is all happy and wavy for his defeat. Wolf, now eager and drooling for those T-Rex bones, runs off to the museum.

TOTSUGEKI RANSU! HAJOU HAMMAR! Those attacks send Rockman flying into the other room. Warrock asks if Subaru-kun's alright again, but Crown decides to chase him. Rockman gets up, but too late as Crown finally finds him. Taking advantage of his sneak-up, Crown grabs Rockman with his maw and takes him back to the main room they wee fighting in. Gonta thinks he's giong to eat Rockman, Kizamaro is shocked, and Luna slightly faints. Crown tries to crush Rockman using his jaws, with said hero struggling for his life.

All of a sudden, a howl can be heard. It's Wolf Forest! Warrock just comments again (wow, even in a situation like this!?). Wolf now charges at Crown T-Rex, taking a leg one in the process. This frees Rockman and separates Crown again. Everyone is in awe as to what happened. Rockman falls, but Wolf seems to be enjoying his big, delicious T-Rex bone (no pun intended). Everyone just falls Omake-style. Luna comments (I don't have any idea either).

The comet and the two badly drawn figures are now disappearing. Warrock and Wolf stops in confusion. Crown regains his body, now aware that he no longer can float, and falls on Wolf. Subaru see this and then... DUUUUUUA! Warrock yells at Subaru, who is shocked, and then tells him to attack them already. Subaru asks if that was really him, and Warrock just tells him to use Star Break.

ROCKKUMAN IYSU PEGASUSU (Ice Pegasus for those who don't know that)!!! The now trembling Crown and Wolf are finished off with Rockman's Magician's Freeze. They were too late in avoiding the attack, and are now forced to retreat. Gonta, Kizamaro, and Luna are happy that Rockman saved them. Rockman then retreats,with an upset Luna left behind.

Back at Subaru's home, we see our herioc duo on the roof. Warrock is now glad to be normal again. Both of them have a good conversation with each other, and then Warrock goes back into the lawnmower. As expected, he does a sloppy job at first. Then, he goes up the wall, Subaru not minding at all. He's just glad that Warrock's back. DUUUUUUUAAAA! Warrock got flatenned by a steamroller (WRYYYYYYY!!!) and now he needs Subaru's help again. Subaru just comments. Cliffhanger here.

It's nice to be able to see Crown acting on his own accord instead of following someone else's plan (especially of that someone else happens to be Cancer).

BTW Seijin, that second dinosaur that Crown entered is called a pachycephalosaurus (or pachy for short). And the first one was a triceratops, not a stegosaurus.

Hmm, I found this episode quite good. Amusing if nothing else. ^_^ I haven't got too much to say about the matter to be honest. I'm just glad that they didn't draw it out too much. Shame they didn't show exactly what affect it had on Gemini. All we got to see was Tsukasa doubling over in pain in the last eppy...

I've only seen one screenshot from this episode...and it was a dinosaur with Crown Thunder's head...nice to know what happened I suppose.

It's 100% easy to find through searching, as I just found out now.

I was hoping that Subaru would have to resort to Mario-like jumping on Crown's head to beat each transformation. XD Oh well. I was rather amused throughout, and was totally reminded of Jurassic Park when T-Rex crown started to eat Rockman. But this one had a happier outcome.

That Rockbuster animation scene was fluid and sweet, when War Rock first rejects fighting Triceocrown. But they need a new Ice Pegasus animation. Especially when it's seemingly replayed every other week. :/

The oddball Skeleton and Crab out in space made me think they actually were visitors traveling on the comet who possessed Crown and Cancer, even if they weren't. I didn't totally get why those two were shown in this arc, yet the same couldn't be said for the rest of the FMs. Even if Crown and Cancer were the least affected, supposedly.

I'm still not convinced that that's the end of that comet, as Subaru did have a nightmare about it last week.

One thing I noticed right off the bat was that Nomoto did a much better job on Warrock's head then usual. It actually looked... normal. Not flattened like in 14, nor like a box as in 45. There were some details I liked, such as that pointless cocking of the buster, Pegasus Rockman's wings not remaining completely static, and the movements of Subaru ducking underneath the tail. Heh, maybe he read some of those disparaging comments I made in the titles thread./not] Adding Wolf Forest in there was also neat.

So my thoughts on next week can only be written thus:

I must say this ep looked kind of pretty. Rockman contrapted when he was struck with Crown's thunder attack, and they didn't use many still shots. HOORAY! Yeah the faces were really pretty for being a Nomoto episode, Subaru had a bunch of disgrunted expressions that are just waiting to be put into avatars... ;x

We sure this was a Nomoto exclusive eppy?

I love how someone on NicoDouga noted that the 'big juicy bone' Wolf Forest was gnawing away at wasn't a real bone at all...
