We will definitely be having tournaments for Brawl. Yes. We will. Perhaps a Christmas tournament? Don't know what the prize would be...

I'll definetely be down for a brawl tournament. :D

This is great. I'm looking forward to the brawling with strangers, it will let me know where I stand amongst others. Not to mention that I could care less about records.

I think we can officially call this game the greatest form of fanservice ever created.

The online play looks pretty skin-and-bones so far. Hope it gets better.

Arr, I giggled when I saw the names on the Wifi list. Elbow and Noodl be fine names! As for other updates, I be lookin' forward to usin' those lovable Ice Climbers once more, and even more-so the chimp that be Diddy Kong. The taunting option with messages seems silly, to me, but arr... I shall enjoy spouting off lame-duck taunts like "Walk the plank" and "yer mother was a Jolly Roger!" Wink

... She got better, Arrrr....

The last 3 posts of yours had me worried for your sanity, then I remembered the date!

Arr, Remember, remember, the nineteenth of September! Talk like a Pirate Day...

Aye, I forgot! ^^;;;

Is it just me, or does snake look boring to play as? Remote missile reminds me of Ness's PK Thunder, probably more powerful though considering I don't think it can propel him like Ness'. The mines could be interesting though.

I love the theme music though.

Maybe this means we might see some of the other guest characters soon? Smile

Of course, it also might mean this is going to be the last new character they're going to show us and leave the rest for us to find on our own... Sad

I think you can guess which one I'm hoping for.

As for Snake, he looks rather nifty. Like Sakurai said, he uses alot of explosives, which will be pretty entertaining.

I like Snake's design and his moves. His grab on Ike looks really nice, which brings up the idea of various show grabs for the characters.

So,here is this week's updates in a bag:

Monday-Golden Hammer
Tuesday-The Wi-Fi playing mode
Wednesday-Subspace Enemies sampler
Thursday-Piplup's debut as a Pokemon summon
Friday-Snake is revealed/Snake's theme music/Snake's special moves

Any guesses for next week's updates?

Peach or Zelda's special moves perhaps?

does anyone think maybe they'll up the player count for online play on the bigger maps? That would be welcomed in my books but will they?

I think 4 players on a large map is pushing it for lag free game play, so no.

Upping the player count, or perhaps adding in an option to include large numbers of Wireframe-ish bots, for offline play would be pretty interesting. Image setting up a scenario where you and a partner have to "defend" a large stage against a large swarm of Wireframes, or one where bots are added onto what would normally be a simple 2-vs-2 match for some real craziness.

Seriously, regular fighters don't do so well with numerous bots being added onto a battle, but I think Smash Bros could more than handle it.

I think having more than 4 players on a stage for battle may be pushing the envelope a bit, hence causing the game to crash (and BURN!).Besides,Smash already did,as most fighting games allow 1 vs. 1 matches.

Peach and Zelda's moves sound like a good update, but I think the move updates only work for new characters/old ones that get a facelift in their move sets. We'll see.

The only move I want to see for Zelda is her Down B.

Well, I'm glad trophies are back...I thought we were only getting stickers.

So... Brawl is coming out in less than 3 months, woohoo!

And I've been thinking, which Princess will you save in the beginning?

And DO NOT say "both, 'cause I'm going to play it over and over again", because I'm talking about your first play through.

I'm still thinking, and I'm thinking HARD.
