Isn't it even less socially acceptable to do it in high school? Once you're too old, people would tell you off instead of giving you candy, I'd think...[/quote]

Yes, people in my town will tell you if they are immpolite, but other than that they do not have a problem with it. yes, it is, but i had a hard time having fun in middle school so i guess only the outcasts, weirdoes, and people in the "anime geek" section like me will be cast out again.

My friends and i will all go together; the teacher's do not turn us down and people i live near are rather friendly, but if we are too old for candy there's always dressing up ^_^.
....and then the anime cons!! wheeee :D.

It's against the rules for high schoolers to wear costumes on Halloween at my school. :/ "Too distracting" they say.

If I were actually going anywhere for Halloween, I'd wear Danny Phantom again. But I don't have my gloves or wig anymore. And I'm not going anywhere. So yeah.

It makes me sad that the anime store where we had a great party last year is now close. They had the best of parties. =_=

Myself and my team-teacher are organizing a party for the English club, so it looks like I'll have to come up with a costume...too bad I sent my Otakon cosplays and supplies home after the con. ^^; Maybe I'll break down and buy a costume, or maybe I'll just borrow a student's uniform, that'd be pretty funny. XDD

Well... I wouldn't really say that that's a good idea. Just shave before you dress up *shrudders*. I'd HATE to see an omake in school.

Shave? Anyway, it could be funny. But some people may get confused. But that's why it's funny. Are you sure the skirt/dress/whatever wouldn't be too short? And the shirt too small?

o.O What gender do you suppose I am, exactly?

Admittedly most of my students are shorter than me, but I think at least a few of the 12th graders are taller, so... besides, there could be something floating around the festival costume department.

I think the intention was that adult females sometimes have hair on their legs. Or something. o_o;

That's true I guess...but it's still skirt season here, so most women don't. ^^;

Halloween at my school, it's a freaking crime NOT to wear a costume...and if you are caught not wearing one, you will find yourself saying "I'm a snobby rich kid that goes to this school" for no one will take the excuse "I forgot"

Anyway, I'm planing to go as Hikari from Pokemon, I'll probably won't be recognized, but I'm pretty sure my Pikachu plush would be... (as soon as I get one.)

Going as her? Make sure you'll have a longer skirt then she does. Hers is really short. It's like May's shirt. Something to make jokes about.

Ah, Halloween . . . I feel so old thinking about when I used to go trick or treating around my old home . . .

Anyway, enough nostalgia. At least Halloween falls on a weekday so I'll be at work for when we dress up. If I can get together enough money and I can find the werewolf costume I saw last year (fat chance of that) I'll pick it up. If not then I might get a Jedi outfit I heard was floating around town. If not then I might recycle my old knights outfit or the faceless ghoul I wore last year that freaked one manager and several customers out where, naturally, no one could see my face. Then I get to wear that costume for the kick-off party at Borders for NaNoWriMo and freak out a few more people Twisted Evil

Halloween isn't celebrated in Australia, but we do get a few people who go Trick or Treat'ing, so I'm planning on buying some sweets and maybe even carving out a pumpkin for fun! ^_^

I honestly can't decide between cosplaying as Sora or Roxas. Both costumes are awesome and very comfortable to boot.

I've also considered Subaru, but I don't think many people would know who he is so I'm leaving him out of the decision.

I meant I'd wear it if I had it D:

I'm going to try to see if I can buy it before halloween though...

It's a gakuran, a school uniform. I'm told it's decently comfortable.

I noticed that. And they must be ok since so many kids wear them.
