I have a feeling Star Force is a Jetstream exclusive, and that the two hour "movie" was just a really big advertisement for Jetstream. _________________

Luna's not as exciting here as before, but I got a real good laugh out of it! The pictures she took = ROFL |

For a change, I was actually rather pleased with Geo and Omega-Xis' performances in these two episodes.
Speaking of good performances, I actually thought that Damian was near flawless in inflection and line delivery. Too bad he doesn't stay around for very long... _________________

I found Wolf Forest's voice to be...not all that great. Sure he has the growling in his voice...but I find it awkward for some reason...can't explain why. _________________

It might be because of the more robotic voice in him? I thought these 2 episodes were very good. Performance did well too. |

Probably because it was too growly. In other words, overdone. xP _________________

Episode 11: Wolf: The Roar of Anger is now up.
But I prefer to call it Wolf's Incredible Slideshow.
First half deals with Wolf Woods rampaging in the mall. Nothing special. There were two instances of added dialogue, but it was nothing major. I found Samantha to be just as unbearable as her Japanese counterpart. Oh, and did I mention that the preview did more spoiling than usual?
The second half introduces Crown Thunder. The amusement park is now called Retro Land. I don't remember what it was called in the original, if anything. Oh yeah, Omega-Xis goes 'Yo. Peace.' when Geo sees him. I think we all saw that one coming.
As for Crown Thunder... I'm 99% certain that he's voiced by JB Blanc (Copper), but what works for Copper does not work for Crown Thunder. Imagine Copper with a sore throat, and you've got Crown Thunder. He doesn't speak all 'refined' like the original, but at least he's got the laugh down pat. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

I, too, didn't notice his refined talking. He's more like a pirate. Still, most of the second half has retained the original storyline. BTW Retro Land is from Jimmy Neutron. I hear people sueing already. Also, jibakuurei (earth-bound spirit) is turned to 'site ghost' (really lousy, but I can guess I can stick with it). _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

Well, they've updated with a new ep that combines that last bit with Crown Thunder, and the first half with the snake lady. ( The name has been forgotten at the moment, sorry. )
The part where the fishies are trying to eat Couronne's skull =
Although personally, I think they could've picked better VAs for Crown and the Snake-lady... but meh, they're alright. _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

Snake-lady? That's Ophiucus (o-fyuu-kasu). The episode seems pretty much the same as the original this time. I enjoyed seeing Luna seasick again, and watching that arguement over clothing. Though, I have a feeling that it won't be long until this starts showing on TV, considering how many episodes have been made (twelve, I think). _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

I don't really have much time, so I just watched about a minute of the Ophiuca part. I thought Ophiuca's voice was good. Pretty close to the Japanese counterpart. I wonder if they're gonna edit the henshins in the next ep. They're pretty, er, lolicon-y and fanservicey. Oh yeah, Ryuusei 26 shows up in the next episode too. Nice.
I guess I'll post my full impressions when I see the whole thing. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Yeah, Ophy's voice is sexy too.
But I find it funny how Geo suddenly blames Pat for bringing them there in the clip summary.
I think the argument could have been a little more passionate, it seemed like Sonia was half-assing her side. Her manager certainly sounds like a pedo in the English dub. _________________

Cool, they changed Ophiuca back to Ophiuchus.
Attack changes...
Ikaku Bowgun = Bowgun Menace
Totsugeki Lance = Lance Rush
Hajou Hammer = Hammer Surge
Those are pretty accurate if I recall...
Not much to say here, save that Pat sounded kinda bummed towards the end of the Ryuusei 23 half. Maybe cuz his plan to lure Geo to the park to be demolished by Crown Thunder failed. While I still don't like the voice very much, he was pretty funny this episode. Lessee, next ep has the return of Tom. I hope they do a very good job, since that is a very piviotal episode. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

It is with a heavy heart and a double post that I inform you that today, episode 13, 'Biggest Fan or Biggest Foe', appears on jetstream. Why should I be glum, you ask? After all, nothing is cut out, Sonia's rear, Ophiuchus Queen's cleavage, and even Luna's magical girl henshin is completely untouched. Well, there's nothing wrong with the Ryuusei 25 half...
It's just that the Ryuusei 26 part, one of the best episodes in the series, is MISSING. Yes, you read that right, missing. Instead of seeing Geo go toe to toe with Cygnus Wing, we have recap, going from Kelvin's disappearance on. Plus, there's no preview at the end. Wouldn't it have been a good idea to end the thirteen episode run with a nasty cliffhanger?
Now, while that is certainly disappointing, there is some logic behind it. First, Viz probably wanted to have a clean ending for the first run, in case they never dub the next half, due to popularity or whatnot. Second, as has been discussed, if nothing had been cut, we would end up with an odd number of episodes, meaning that Ryuusei 55 would be all by its little lonesome. So that won't happen now. Plus, now no more storylines will be split up between two eps. No more concluding one half of a plot, then moving onto half of another. Everything will be seamless.
So here's to Viz dubbing the second half, even if most of it is filler. Here's to the best Rockman dub yet, Megaman Star Force. May you once again grace us with your prescence on the Internet. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Long live the Megaman Series! I hope they can dub the rest. I hear that Capcom maybe bringing the sequel to the first game here next year. Perhaps, but for now, I guess I can wait. The episode had no cuts (yeah, I feel you), but I'm more concerned about the lines. Some of the script didn't match the original, and the voices could use more drama. It doesn't sound natural to me. _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

To be honest, unless a TV network purchases the Star Force license, I don't think we'll be seeing any more episodes; especially since Viz declared from the start that there would only be thirteen episodes to the series.
I've always felt that Viz was gambling with Ryuusei, that they purchased the first season and decided to dub it in the hopes that they could then turn around and sell the series to a network. But since we haven't heard anything, outside of that CN 'movie' deal, I would assume that that hasn't happened.
But alas, t'was an amazing run while it lasted. It's just slightly ironic that the best dub released never actually made it 'On Air'.
Hey, who knows? Maybe Viz'll pick up Tribe next year; and just maybe we'll get through all the season. _________________

It would fit better on toonami then some of the frequent repeats they have one now. That way they can maybe air some episodes of other old series. |

I'm not sure if anyone notice this yet. But seems like Megaman Starforce has been taken off of Jetstream. I recently went on there to see if any episodes was on there. But its not in the listing. |

True, I've not seen any there. I'm afraid. Something is telling me it failed to air anymore. Ding-Dang it, Jetstream!! _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.
