Rockman/Mega Man ZX Advent help thread

I have posted this thread so everyone can ask questions or give tips for Rockman/Mega Man ZX Advent. In short, a help thread. I wanted to have this thread made for people having problems with it. So, anyways, start posting.

Actually, I have a question myself. Dealing with Argoyle and Ugoyle are hard enough, but getting their medals are even harder. What's the best strategy to set them up and then take them out at the same time?

Try to use Aeolus (model H) to check how down their health went. When it's almost depleted, use giga crush with model A.

Or you can do what I did. Model P to take their health way down, then switch to Model H and try to even out their healths (This is for the Buckfire and Hedgeshock version of that challenge).

Hmm, what do I need help with...?

Oh yes. Megaman a. I can get to the second boss fight (Albert with the spikes in the middle of the room), but what the puck. How do I fight him?

Your submitted tips worked, thanks! Now, I have another question. Queenbee's gold medal is hard to get. Did I say hard? I mean, impossible!! Is there a way to hit her body without damaging the container? I have only used Atlas' buster edit skill but I still end up hitting the container by accident. That's how close I got.

Basically, he's too low to the ground for there to be that much of an opening...Maybe I just need to be faster about it.

Anyway, the Giga Crush only strategy works in Normal mode too...it's just...hard to do XD;

Queenbee's body only? Oh, I remember those days.

Buster edit so your shots go all the way up and forward once.

Wait for her to be near the ground, and ONLY then jump and shoot twice, by alternating between Y and R. Both shots will do damage giving her four HP down.

Now then. ONLY attack when that happens. If she moves to the ground and isn't going to do anything, don't bother unless you've Chronoforced (which I don't recommend, it's a waste of Biometal Energy).

If she's on the ground and she releases the bees, this is an excellent time for attack. You can get at least four volleys in during that, giving you sixteen bits of her health, seriously helping out your cause.

Another good time to attack is when she's near the ground and she fires missiles, shoot her twice and dodge.

I hope these tips are helpful. Even though you'll know what you're doing, sometimes you'll accidentally hit the container. Don't worry, just restart and teleport back to Control Center 4 ^^; you'll get it eventually.

Oh, by the way, I beat survival mode. Effing hard to do. You're gonna want to not lose any health on the pseudoroids and Megamen. Pretty easy to do for Chronoforce, Rospark, Queenbee, and Thetis.

Argoyle and Ugoyle are another story. Even if you get a chance to Chronoforce, they move around really quickly and are hard to hit with multi-hit attacks. You have to learn to space out your subtank usage wisely.

Boss Survival Strategies you ask? Sure!

Buckfire: Wait for him to jump into the air and prepare his down kick. You'll know he's going to when you see the target appear on the train car. Jump out of the way as he does and hit X. Switch to Chronoforce and charge up. If you want an easier time with this, wait for him to stop dashing and then activate the Time Bomb. Now get in there and combo that bitch up with Model ZX.

Simplest way? Rolling slash->(jump slash or walking slash)((only do this step if you're insane and know you can't get hit))-> triple slash. If you're using Vent, finish it up with a rising fang, or just wait for his invincibility to wear off. Charge up your ZX Buster while you wait for it to wear off. ZX Buster-> Rolling slash -> (Jump slash or walking slash) ((Once again, only if you're insane.))-> Triple Slash

If you jumped high enough with the rolling slash, two volleys should finish him off. If not, then just do it once more.

Chronoforce: Morph to Model L. Go through the door and as soon as the fight starts, turn into Chronofore and charge up. Chronoforce will most likely start by attacking with the icicles, so dash up, then dash down and watch the idiot swim over you. Now release the time bomb, hit X and morph into Model L! Hit the jump button and water dash down to the side Chronoforce disappeared to. SPAM Y AND R.

Keep doing that. He won't move and you'll have enough time to take out all of his HP. Do NOT let up. Just keep spamming Y and R.

Phew, now that that's over....

Rospark: Morph into Model L. Charge up and go through the boss door.

I'm not goin to tell you how to activate your ice attack since if you're playing Boss Survival, I'm sure you've figured it out already.

Jump up the wall and activate it on the same level as Rospark is, and hit X. Morph to Chronoforce and charge up. Release the time Bomb as soon as the charge hits orange, then hit X again. Morph to Model ZX and ....well, you know what to do. Make sure you get on the other side of him as his invincibility wears off.

Remember, Rolling slash and Triple Slash is godly in this game.
(And remember to start up the combo with the ZX buster full charge if you can)
Now then, Rospark will most likely get back up on the vine, or if you're lucky, you'll be able to unleash a third volley, taking him out.

If he got back up, Model L him down (Or Bifrost if you don't wanna waste biometal energy, and you're feelin' lucky (R ice teeth attack)) And Finish him with ZX.

Onto the next 'un.

Vulturon--*shot* Condorock: Switch to ZX. Charge up your ZX Buster and enter the boss room.

First attack? Wait for him to go down a level, then ZX buster his ass and rolling slash (try not to get hit).

Morph to Chronoforce and he'll shoot his sonic waves. Make sure you're charging up. Release Time Bomb. Morph to Human form and duck. The wave will pass right over you. Now go wail on his ass with ZX.

You can take out the funky junks with one slash of the ZX saber, so do that before you get to him.

I won't say much about this fight, as trying to get his gold medal taught me everything I need to know about dodging his attacks, so it's second nature for me. Just try it You'll get the hang of him.

((Oh, and if you're going for his gold medal in regular fighting, just know that you can kill the funky junks with Model ZX's Saber and just wait for your biometal energy to go up. Just make sure you don't hit him with the ZX Saber)).

Phew.

Queenbee: Morph to Model F. Make sure your buster edit is as follows:

Now then. Go in, and as soon as the fight starts, switch to Chronoforce and charge like you've never charged before. Release the time bomb as soon as your charge hits orange, and quickly morph to model F! Spam Y and R like a madman! She'll be on the ground, so all of your shots will connect with her container!

On the off chance that you were too effing slow to activate time bomb while she was on the ground, or she gets her "I like it hot" attack going, jump and spam Y+R as fast as you can. Her container will explode.

I believe Rospark is better for this because Rospark expends less energy, but you can use either Rospark or Hedgeshock. Charge up Rospark's R, or Hedgeshock's Y/R, and hit Queenbee in the tail with that electric goodness. Do it again and again. (And again if you can, I forget if you'll have enough biometal energy or not for three or four hits).

She'll be all "Don't go away" and float up while shooting her butt at you. Get under her and morph to Model F. Shoot up twice with R or Y depending on if you're to her right or left.

She'll come back down, time will be back to normal. Spam Y+R to her container. Her health will be (for the most part) down.

Use Hedgeshock here since you need the speed to dodge. Now electrify that bee!

If you need to, finish her with Model F to her tail.

Alrighty then!

Next boss.

Bifrost: Otherwise known as mega ultra huge crocodile face.

Morph to Buckfire and go into the boss room. Turn to the left as soon as the fight starts and fire your fire arrows. Dash thata way and morph into Chronoforce as you're over the water. Charge up, and watch as Bifrost foolishly closes his jaw over the first two ice cubes. RELEASE THE TIME BOMB!!!!!!

Morph to Model L and jump so you start swimming. Go to where Bifrost and his slow-ass is and start spamming Y and R. He'll jump backwards (make sure you're not too close and you won't get hit as he jumps up. Go to where he lands (a little bit away since his hitboxes are kinda weird) and spam Y and R once more.

He'll be dead after that. And if you were too slow, he'll fire off a crocod'wheel and you'll lose health. Boohoo. Finish him off.

Hedgeshock: OMGOMG IT'S PIKACHU AND SONIC THE HEDGEHOG'S LOVE CHILD. *shot*

Anywho.

Morph to Model L and charge up. Go into the boss room and as soon as she stops spinning, ICE HER, HOMIE...No, I mean shoot the ice, not kill her.

Morph to Chronoforce, let loose the time bomb, and wail on her with Model ZX like we've told you a million times. She's a bit harder to land all the hits with since she's got all those platforms. I don't suggest using the rolling slash, rather just use the charge shot and the walk slash+Triple Slash combo.

Meh, I leave it to your discretion on how long that takes, you'll need to Model L her again, but make sure she's not spinning, otherwise she won't be frozen solid, and rather will only go through you when she attacks (which is actually just as good).

Meh.

NEXTY.

Argoyle and Ugoyle: This is still, by far, the hardest boss to predict. I had an easier time figuring out how to kill Chronoforce and Queenbee than these guys.

Best strategy in my opinion? Model A, target both. Fire.

DODGE LIKE HELL. You will get hit. You -will- get hit. Only use Chronoforce from behind Ugoyle when they're playing their little "Throw the rock bomb at the rockman" game. And when I say that, I mean when Argoyle throws, Ugoyle kicks, Argoyle throws, Ugoyle kicks out three rock bombs even though they were only working with one.

As soon as you activate the time bomb, try spamming rolling slashes as using the standing triple slash is not wise, they move too much.

Another time to activate Chronoforce is their other rock bomb game. But it doesn't give you much opportunity.

Like I said, this strategy is a bit whacky, since you're risking not having enough Biometal Energy by Targetting.

Anyway, If you guys have better strategies on ANY of these, feel free to post them, I don't mind teh criticismz!

Whoa! Good strategies! Ok, next I need to ask about a certain quest. I have problems dealing with the "kill 50 green (Chabacos or whatever)" quest. I don't know how to exactly complete it. I kept killing them, but I'm always getting the same message every time.

The chabanos are all over the place. Even though I used a guide at one point, it was still hard to find them.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/game/937937.html In the "Item FAQ" by "KnightmareSin", Ctrl+F for "Extender". It'll tell you where all the chabanos are.

For the "higher part" of the highway, you actuall have to use queenbee to get up there. Part of the background has a scaffolding which is holding up the higher part of the highway. That's where you have to go.

Is there a list of the different quests? I got so many to do I almost don't know where to find somethings at times.

If anyone needs an alternative method for Queenbee's gold medal, you can actually attack her with just the giga crush, and it'll hit only her body, just hit the bees and missiles with ZX/H's sabers. Just make sure not to hit the weapon container!

Giga Crush? Really? Wow, I did get her medal, except, I got it in the most difficult way imaginable. I used Argoyle's Rock Bombs to attack her body instead of Model F's attack (IT WAS FRUSTRATING EITHER WAY!!!).
