Wow, you're in Japan now? That's awesome! I've always wanted to visit Japan...but its out of my reach for now. ^^;;

Still no baby as of yet but it will be soon. Due date is on Friday so I should have some more news around then. I'm glad people are still paying attention to the thread. We also bought a ticket for our friend so he can bring us our pair of cats, and one of them are from the batch of kittens that have made a few appearances in the previews. The other is the first cat we've ever owned or as he's known on MySpace Vash the Cord Killa. I'll be free for visits during December and the early part of January, just let me know if you'll be coming my way Isumi, or anyone who happens to be here

Well if I was in japan it might be a little easier then a hotel but seriously, glad to hear it. Hey, would you name it something japanese since you're there or something "normal" heh. Please give us some pictures when it's born.

I'm not sure I can afford to travel this winter, money's a little tight right now since I spent most of the past few weekends in Kyoto. Hoping to afford to do something for New Year's, I may just hit an onsen in Wakayama or something, but I'll let you know if I'm out in Okinawa!

Understood Isumi, an onsen sounds like a good idea, but I won't be able to do that for a while after my son is born. We chose a normal name for him, but I'm going to be gathering opinions for a Japanese nickname for him from several places like work, and here as well so feel free to suggest some.

Cool. I have no idea but I do know of a test that gives you a name based off your real name. I don't think it's very accurate but it might be fun for a look.
And onsens are ok aren't they? Just big hot tubs right.

Yes they are but after having a baby I have to wait at least 6 weeks before I can even think about taking a plunge into one. Reduces chance of infection or some other stuff like that. So it is kinda a good thing but what I would like to do is swim in the Pacific Ocean and that is also a no no until 6 weeks after as well. So I have to wait to do any fun stuff on island. It's no big deal the matsuri's I've seen just a short distance from my house are reward enough until then.

Izumi: Gomen, for some reason it sometimes ends up as it sounds in my head while reading it. You know the sounds that people can kinda pick up when listen to the Japanese language in action. Well anyway I'll be waiting to hear from you or I can send you some seasons greetings.

Christmas is gonna be fun this year I guess. I plan on having a get together over at my place and will take pictures. Might be lucky to get a local or two to come. I'll be sure to take plenty of photos. If you guys wanna send stuff our way be sure to PM me and I'll send you the APO address.

And as I said before if you guys wanted me to pick anything up while over here and need me to deliver it, be sure to PM me address info. And I'll keep you guys posted on the baby situation as it goes along, if not me Editor will take up the task.

If I had any money that I wasn't using for X-mas and knew what I would like, I'd say something. But that 6 week thing does make sense. With all of what's around there and what came out, you'd expect a time like that.
