Yay, copy/paste time! xD (copy and pasted from my deviant art journal)
Okies, so it looks like Amachi-san's attempt to extract the sword from the stone-I mean from WarRock's body was a total failure. My guess is that its waves reacted with his waves to the point where it simply could not be removed. Period. Oh, well.
Meanwhile, we see two thugs (one abnormally tall and skinny, the other short and pudgy) strolling through a back alley. A teenager with white hair and massive pants is walking through this alleyway as well and bumps into Pudgey. Pudgey throws a fit since the white-haired guy doesn't even say excuse me. Pudgey gets owned.
On the other side of town, Subaru visits Misora. Insert much weirded out facial art here. Anyway, Subaru tells Misora about his quest to find the other OOPARTS. Misora is stoked and says she's been bored since the whole fiasco with the FM-Seijin a while back. She asks Harp about it and Harp I guess says it's fine by her. Guitar Hug! (Seems she got a new one to replace the one Gemini Spark broke a while back.) A familar voice interrupts. It's Inspector Cancer! Erm, no, wait. It's Cancer Bubble in a trench coat. Nevermind.
Suddenly, the FMs get all nervous, saying a massive power is approaching.
Everyone looks up to see an oddly-clad teenager with white hair slowly walking toward them. Misora and Subaru are clueless, but WarRock insists that something's weird about him. As if to prove his point, the kid pulls out a Wave Scanner (how he got one of those I'll never know) with an all-too familiar marking on it. A purple light surrounds him-and when it fades, we see he's none other than Burai!
Burai unleashes a fist attack at the defenseless Misora and Subaru. Fortunately, they duck and cover so they come out relatively unscathed. Misora is ticked about him messing up her stage though.
DENPA HENKAN! HIBIKI MISORA, ON AIR!
DENPA HENKAN! HOSHIKAWA SUBARU, ON AIR!
CANCER BUBBLE, ON AIR! (yes.)
Burai throws another fist attack at them. Rockman throws up a barrier to protect him and Harp Note. Apparently, Cancer Bubble didn't fit in the barrier and he's sent flying. (Well that didn't take long.)
Rockman summons a Ryuuenzan (I think. It's the Fire Edge either way) and Harp Note fires a Pulse Song. Surprise surprise that it doesn't really work, since Burai breaks out his magical sword. Burai then jumps to the Wave Roads to fight with Rockman, completely ignoring Harp Note. Insert AWESOME fight scene here. Harp Note doesn't like being ignored and fires a Shock Note at Burai. It stuns him just enough for Rockman to get a nice slash in with his Flame Edge, and tries to counter with a Radar Missile. Burai changes into a partial wave state, and the missiles pass harmlessly through him. (Apparently, this is a surprise to Rockman. I really don't see how though. Theoretically, and Denpa Ningen should be able to do this.)
Anyway, Burai recovers and is obviously one very unhappy camper. He now sets his sights on Harp Note. Cancer Bubble to the rescue! He tries to block Burai's attack with his Boomerang Cutter, but it fails miserably and he's kicked out of the way like a soccer ball. Harp Note is not happy about that and tries a Machine Gun String. Fail. Burai chops the strings to bits and rushes in for the kill. Harp Note manages to block using her guitar, but Burai easily knocks that aside, knocking her out of Denpa Henkan and into unconsciousness.
Rockman's becomes very upset and tries using a Cannon. Fail. New tactic-He summons a Freeze knuckle to freeze the ground. It works for all of two seconds as Burai merely phases through the ice. He rushes in with a flurry of punches and kicks that sends Rockman flying. Burai then punches the ground, sending shockwaves at Rockman. Rockman amazingly gets up again. For about two seconds. He then falls into unconsciousness. Burai comes in for the kill.
WarRock is still conscious and begs Subaru to get up again. It's about then that Burai reaches them. He begins pounding on WarRock's head with his foot, pounding WarRock into the ground. He then summons his sword for the ending blow.
WarRock's heart starts to beat faster, triggering something within him. Just as Burai brings down his sword, WarRock's eyes flash and a pillar of green fire engulfs Rockman. Burai leaps back (looking mildly annoyed) while Misora, who has since regained consciousness, watches on helplessly.
As the pillar fades, a strange shadow becomes visible. The Thunder Berserker! And it's literally berserk! Subaru's eyes are glowing red with power! (Subaru's eyes! Not WarRock's!) This is generally what we call a "Bad Thing."
Burai punches the ground again, unleashing another shockwave. Rockman casually raises his sword and pounds the earth, destroying the shockwave. The smoke clears, and Thunder Berserker launches a massive pillar of electricity toward Burai. Burai tries to block it with his sword, and while he manages to slow the the attack down, he cannot stop it. Annoyed, but faced with certain defeat, he retreats.
Rockman snaps out of his berserk state and realizes that Burai escaped. He now pauses to ponder this mysterious new power. Not for long though, as Misora and Cancer Bubble (guy gets around) come to check on him. And stare in awe at the massive gauge in the earth carved by the Thunder Berserker's attack.
Meanwhile, back at the University, Subaru is meeting with Orihime. I don't know if he told her about the Thunder Berserker, but he did tell her he's still interested in getting the other OOPARTS. Orihime thanks him and smiles while the camera pans suspiciously toward Empty.
Meanwhile, we find Burai's natural form standing on top of a bridge, watching the sunset. He's not admiring the beauty though, as his thoughts dwell on his defeat at the hands of Rockman and his mysterious new power. Slowly, angrily, he mutters, "the damned Berserker..."
(End copy/paste)
NEXT TIME!!! Subaru heads off to the Himanara Mountains in search of another OOPART, there he meets a boyish-looking girl, who, I guess, helps Subaru look for clues of its whereabouts.
------
Another amazing battle, courtesy of Nomoto. However, I couldn't help but feel that the non-battle or non-Solo/Burai shots were...off, in some ways. Just...typical of what we saw Nomoto do back in Ryusei. That aside...
did I mention the battle scenes were amazing? 8D
Also, be sure to see...
-Cancer's "Henshin Sequence" (massive lols)
-The Thunder Berserker (nothing short of amazing. And shiney. :O)
-Solo speak (OMG!!! So he CAN talk!)

Yup, that's her.
So that makes her a boyish-looking girl ;D
Loved the action scene on this ep, too.
Much like Goku vs Jeice and Baata, only Burai's the one just standing there while Rockman's trying to land a hit. _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

Wow.
You know, the funny thing is, I actually thought she was a girl at first, but the more I looked at her, the more I thought she looked like a guy.
I'll go ahead and fix that. Thanks for the correction! _________________

Yay, Thunder Berserker! Too bad there wasn't much of a swordfight. Cancer Bubble getting propelled into the air Team Rocket-style was hilarious too.
Anyway, I found a video of the episode on YouTube. Enjoy while it's there (hopefully). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwAhq0g3Vb0 |

I hope they didn't invest all their series budget into that one fight scene between Rockman and Burai.
Oh no. Subaru's travelling around the world already? D:

I predict that Tribe is going to take a direction similar to Ryusei. The first "half" will consist of Subaru traveling to get the OOPARTS.
I don't have even the slightest guess about the second "half" will bring, and, quite frankly, I don't even really WANT to guess, considering the fiasco that was 34-49. ><
Here's hoping they learned from their mistake last time and will actually continue with the plot and not gag us again with filler fluff. _________________

Misora came dangerously close to having a 'wardrobe malfunction'. <_<;;;;; And sometimes her facial expressions were just plain... odd.
Anyways, the episode was fairly solid. It was a nice touch, WarRock and Harp appearing next to their partners. I feel like we don't see that enough, and that too often the FMs are just relegated to being Henshin triggers.
Bly/Burai is still trying WAY too hard to be cool; and Cancer's henshin is pure amazingness.
The sword scene was indeed good... but it just didn't grab me for some reason. Which leads up to my next observation/conundrum.
Did anyone else think that the art was a little on the mix-and-match side? Sometimes the characters were really nicely detailed, and in others they were crudely drawn. There was the smack-down sword-fight that was almost immediately followed by a quick pan of the Ice Punch... And the shading was a little off-the-wall as well.
But oh well, all-in-all it was a good episode.
And indeed, let's hope that Tribe keeps the filler to a minimum. Plot = happiness. Filler = Boredom. _________________

Looks like they forgot to draw something in during Misora's 'up the shirt' tease. ... Or did they?
In all seriousness, what is up with Nomoto producing good episodes lately? Ryuusei 49, then Tribe 3, and now this. All I've ever known about the Rockman part of Xebec's art studio appears to be crumbling around me!
While the fight was very good, some of the character shots looked somewhat odd at times. There was a profile of Misora that didn't look bad, per se, just a bit off... And there were several times where Bly's hairdo went from Vegeta wannabe to Vegeta with way too much hairgel.
I'll give Cancer Bubble an A for effort, even though he didn't do much besides have an awesome 'henshin', and get punted by Bly just like the little baby he is.
They sure went all out with Thunder Berserker. At least it wasn't that much of a deus ex machina.
As for the filler discussion, I can take filler if it's done in either small doses, or, if the anime is following a manga (doesn't apply to Ryuusei obviously), has a plot behind it that is actually decent. Ryuusei just had random two shots that moved the plot nowhere, and due to the sheer amount of them, ended up sacrificing a lot of game material that had been important to the characters. (Misora's mom, I'm looking at you). I find it funny that so much time was spent trying to develop the FMs, yet the only one that had really changed in the end was Wolf.
I dunno, maybe the G8 arc of One Piece just ruined all filler for me. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Rather well done, the fights were nice. Though I do think they could've done a little more with the swordfights. Not to mention it didn't seem to take much to force Misora out of Denpa Henkan.
Thunder Berserker made up for everything though @_@ _________________

Not that, y'know, I'd actually *want* that to happen to Misora, but it is a violation of anime material physics.
That said, here's to more fanse-err, I mean, a bigger role for Misora. With any luck, the anime might stray from the game a bit and give Harp Note an OOPart or two. _________________ *placeholder* |

I'm interested to see how Harp eats an Oopart.
No, I think they'll stay with WarRock. _________________

Oh, they're almost certainly sticking with just War Rock. If anything else, they might give an OOPart to Bly or one of the other treasure hunters as a means to advance the plot
Nevertheless, there's always a way to work OOParts into Harp Note's arsenal. Just because War Rock had the lucky break of swallowing one doesn't mean it can't be artificially placed into Harp.
One can hope, eh? _________________ *placeholder* |

Hm...interesting thought.
I would love to see Shinobi Harp Note, it would be nice.
But eventually, the Ooparts will end up like the Star Forces; with WarRock.
After all, the intro shows us Rockman in Thunder Berserker, Fire Dinosaur and Green Shinobi. I don't think that will change... _________________

Personally, I'd love to see a Berserk Harp Note. I imagine Harp would be a steampunkesque steel axe that shoots lightning like a Tesla coil, and Misora... Well, Misora would just be f'ing metal. Harp Note's Shock Note speakers would have an obligatory pyrotechnic waterfall effect with deep, loud thunderclap.
Meh, while on the subject of terribly unlikely developments, I suppose they could go with entirely new OOParts just for Misora. Like a Viking helmet, or a Celtic cross, or perhaps a rose. (Mind the bias towards metal imagery.) _________________ *placeholder* |

Or a microphone. A drum. Something musical-based, which would fit in with the entire Harp Note thing.
Maybe she could get a costume like the Songstress Dressphere from FFX-2? _________________

So long as it's done right, Misora getting an OOPART would be a good thing. It could lend some credibility to the entire thing, since all of the OOParts falling into Subaru's lap time after time is going to get real old, real fast... even if he does have to learn how to control their powers like the summaries suggest.
Ryuusei had a solid reason why Harp couldn't use Star Force (even if it was shoehorned in at the last minute). And while they might come up with another reason why she can't Tribe On, I think it'd fit better if she does at some point. Especially since it looks like her days of constantly saving Subaru's blue tights are a thing of the past. _________________

It's not so true. All the FMs changed. Look at Ophiuchis, she likes shopping and doing girly things time to time, Libra loves being in the spotlight, Crown and Cancer are your typical Misora Otakus that attend to ANYTHING-Misora, Ox loves beef dishes (lol)... they got quite accustomed to being Earthlings. Or rather, more than accustomed... they just plain started liking it. _________________ SPOILER:

Misora may not be able to use an OOPART but that won't stop someone from drawing it right? Maybe all three and an Tribe Queen. I would if I could draw. |

I'm not sure Harp Note fits so well with OOPARTs, unless their Orihime's...
I mean, try imagining for a moment Harp Note Dinosaur. She's...uh...playing a Dinosaur shaped instrument? XD _________________
