New Multi-Man Melee-Totally awesome!Combines Power Rangers,the Polygons and the Wire-Frames.Win in a nutshell.
The Melee Stages that will be returning.Win!I love those stages to bits,minus the Rainbow Cruise...So dizzying.

This game keeps getting weirder...Probably not gonna play as him...

baby bowser and shadow mario? That just sounds too...insane to be true. As much as I'd love to believe that this list is correct (cough WW/PH Link cough), there's just too many things that sound too unbelievable to be true.

Yeah. Like I said right off the bat, the fact that Snake and Sonic are there from the beginning is enough to set of the faaaaaake alarm.

The fact that Snake and Sonic are initial characters is strange, but not really all that surprising, really. The unlockable characters are, after all, supposed to be secret surprises, and seeing as Snake and Sonic have already been announced, encountering them in Adventure Mode (or however you will unlock new characters) won't surprise anyone.

And seeing as how the currently announced roster contains an equal number of Veterans and Newcomers, it looks like Sakurai has essentially outlined the initially available characters. Isn't anyone surprised that Pokemon Trainer and Olimar are initially available, even if they've only been announced relatively recently? You would think Olimar in particular would be among the unlockables considering he's only been announced this week, but he's not.

As for the unlockable roster, I have to say that it makes sense. Sakurai has given me the impression that the Brawl team is pulling out all the stops for this game, leaving no franchise untouched and no detail forgotten, throwing in every mode and character and option that they can think of.

Individual thoughts:

Geno surprised me at first, but I guess he could be considered Squeenix's third-party character. (Fairly sure Squeenix still has the rights for him.)

Same for the Pokemon Rival, but I guess if you're going to have one, you might as well have two...and this will let us have our own Pokemon Battles. :D I'm assuming that since Trainer is "Ash" from FR/LG, Rival is "Gary".

Vaati never struck me as being popular enough to be included in Smash Bros, but I'm not that big of a Zelda fan, so I might be wrong.

No real surprises from the returning characters, as well as Lucario, K. Rool, Ray 01 and Andy. I'm especially hoping Andy's inclusion is real so that Advance Wars finally gets its props.

The Mii is a bit of a shocker; do you upload a Mii to the remote to use in the game? Is it different for every profile? Do you select it in the options menu? Does it use a random one from your Wii when the computer controls it?

Babies Mario and Luigi? How is that supposed to work?

Wolf Link and Midna will be pretty amusing.

Bowser Jr is a surprise, but he's been included in so many Mario games recently, I guess it shouldn't be. His ability to turn into Shadow Mario hopefully means that it'll be his Sunshine incarnation, with the magic brush and such.

Kinda disappointed that we don't have any non-Lord Fire Emblem characters, but oh well.

I'm unfamiliar with Black Shadow, Sukapon and Takamaru. Anybody know who they are?

It's entirely possible that this list is false...but if it is, the one who wrote it up didn't try to throw too many curve balls in for kicks. And if it's true, Brawl is going to be beyond amazing.

Vaati was pretty cool in Minish Cap in my opinion, but seeing as he always ends up being a Gigantic Eye, I don't see how it'd work. Maybe as a boss, or something, but I doubt he could be a playable character.

As for Andy, that'd be pretty badass. But seeing as how the Advance Wars Assist Trophy is just a bunch of tanks firing, I don't see how that could work ._.

I think it'll just be a cursor you control with the Analog stick.

Also. what's up with Sakurai's obsession with Snake's butt? Not that it's a bad thing, I mean, because I know everyone loves Snake's butt.

I thought maybe the targetting would work with the wii remote, but then again, you can use the classic controller or the GCN controller instead of the 'mote, so I'm not sure.

It's not real, the roster leak. It says Sonic and Snake are playable from the beginning while a CoroCoro scan has shown that Sonic and Snake are hidden.

Ah yes, 2-Chan. Like the US version but a lot of us just don't know the horrible things they say. And that list did seem a little off. I'd want to unlock Sonic. And a few others. But not having Pichu and Dr. Mario wouldn't be so bad.
