Kizamaro freaks, as Dossie has finally shown himself on TV! But then he sees Rockman facing 'im down. Huh. He freaks again.
Title Screen: Brachio's Wish
Kyuu Demegawa has no idea what's going on with all of Donbura's festivities. When his film crew fills him in, he doesn't believe any of it, and stalks off. After he leaves, Gori Monjirou approaches them.
Subaru and Misora are walking on a lakeside path. Subaru explains how 'Dossie' and Brachio Wave are related to Mu, then ponders about the sitiuation a bit. Misoar grabs him by the hands and drags him off at a run. Elsewhere, Kyuu's film crew has been conscripted into filming something for the mob boss.
Okay, back to Misora and Subaru. Now they're at the shoreline. Misora's all into being outdoors, but then spots something out on the lake. It looks like a man standing on a raft, and it looks like he's about to fall in. Warrock tells SUbaru to put on his Visualizer, and there's Brachio. Misora gets all excited and looks through her Star Carrier. Brachio turns to look at them.
He's actually a pretty nice guy, as he actually swims over to them and they have a discussion about Mu and the Ooparts. There's an underwater temple in this lake, and that's what the UMA has been guarding. With that, he sails back into the fog. Subaru hears the sounds of machinery off in the distance.
Gori is having dump trucks fill up something, when the site is attacked by Brachio Wave! As he trashes the construction site, Rockman and Harp Note arrive to stop him, which is just what Gori wants, it seems. As the fight gets underway, Gori gets back into his sub.
Brachio Wave unleashes Gekiryuu Wave. Both Subaru and Misora dodge it, but Misora gets an I-beam in the face. Ouch. She reverts back to normal. (Waiting for the inevitable fanboy outcry) Suabru activates Thunder Berserk.
Underwater, Gori and Yeti have found the temple, A drill pops out of the sub and they force their way in. They see it...the dinosaur fossil Oopart!
Brachio Wave uses Aqua Fang and chomps down, but Suabru forces him backwards, and Brachio Wave turns back into Kyuu. Even though the beast has been beaten, the lake begins to shake. The Oopart is now glowing red. A glowing pleiosaur emerges from the lake, and Warrock begins to glow. The two Ooparts are resonating with each other!
Suabru leaps out to get it, but Gori transforms into Yeti Blizzard and stops him with Yukidama Fall. The sub turns into a helicopter and flys away, Yeti Blizzard laughing. He did it, he actually won! The townsfolk are held in awe of the flying, glowing pleiosaur. which soon vanishes.
So in the end, Gori wins, Kyuu and his crew go home, and Brachio remains in the lake, despite the fact that the Oopart was stolen from him.
Orihime (looking um, grander than usual), receives Subaru's report and apology. She ends the transmission, and leans back in her chair. Was that a smile, a grimace, or both?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preview: Subaru and Misora are in the mountains! Misora seems to be high on SOMETHING, and it ain't mountain air. Cheif Osa greets them, then looks startled. Cancer Bubble peeks around a corner, and Luna's there too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, this was actually a pretty good episode. The bad guy actually won, pushing Gori up the villian scale, and making sure that there's going to be some shit going down later on. Brachio being a good guy was a nice touch. I hope he'll reappear in some capacity later on down the line.
Art wise, very good, and very pretty. Animation wise, also very good. Movements were pretty fluid, and the battle had lots of little subtle effects. Now I'm just waiting for there to be an outcry over Misora being 'useless' again. You wouldn't feel so hot if you had just been smashed in the face with a metal beam either.
Next ep is Nomoto I think. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

I too agree this episode is awsome, As for the Iron beam hitting the back of Misora's head, I too will definitly get knock out of wave form@_@.
The animations was totoally top notch, everything flowed beautifly. Also for the win.
A bad guy who actualy got smart and distracted the gaurdian and waited till the hero comes in to stop them from destroying the decoy, while at the same time getting the item he was looking for. |

Good episode.
What does Gori plan to do with the OOParts anyway? O_o
And yes, an i-beam hitting your head will hurt. A lot. _________________ "But there's no sense crying over every mistake.

(Insert fanboy outcry here)

The problem with the i-beam thing is that she's taken far worse and not been knocked back to human. For example in the fight with Andromeda at the end of the first series she took that missle attack, got KOed worse than Rockman, and still didn't change back.
In any case, it was a good episode. Nice to see the villian wining for once. It's hard to take a villian seriously when they never succeed at anything. Which kills some of the drama. Anyone care to bet that Phantom Black manages to get the last OOPart? That'd really make things interesting. |

This was an Adachi episode, wasn't it? Brachio being actually a nice fellow was a real nice touch, looking at how slim his role is really in the game. >_>
Yes, a very good episode, makes up for the uselessness of the previous. Nice animation, pretty faces, good job!
Next eppy is in Nansuka huh? _________________ SPOILER:

I got a peek at it too! Nice quality episode here. I can't wait for Luna's involvement next time. But, I still don't know what 'Gekiryuu Wave' translates to. Plus, what was Brachio's conversation in the end about? _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

Yep, this episode once again affirms that Adachi=the biggest OOPART lover of them all! It's totally the only giveaway you need anymore. To me, it looked like Orihime was biting her lip, rather than any smile or grimace that ComicX6 wondered about. Possibly to convey that her thoughts about what just happened actually went both ways.
Am I correct again in my random guesses that the seiyuu who plays Brachio was Shademan's? Or do my ears deceive me? I was just waiting for that evil laugh of his. But I agree that it was nice to see Brachio with that gentle, but proud defender attitude rather than just being the stereotypical baddie.
Very beautiful work overall by our fave art director. And I as well was happy to see Gori get away with the OOPART for the time being. The whole glowing plesiosaur aura was kinda strange I guess, but it was pretty to look at.
*1/19 EDIT* P..p..pans!!
The first pan of Kyuu does not line up, so it has been skipped if you're wondering. Fun to see his silhouette in the Brachio pans now that I look at them closely. Didn't realize that when watching the eppy. Others had some issues that I tried to work around.

In Ryuusei it was buttshots. In Tribe it's... big hefty Ooparts. Will they be censored too once the series is exported to the statesides as well? _________________ SPOILER:

Yeah, I knew that, but ending the summary with 'Orihime leans back in her chair and bites her lip' seemed kinda lamebrained, if you know what I mean. We all know she's gonna go turncoat at some point, so I thought why not cast a dubious shadow on a benign action?[/writer babble] _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

So Brachio was a good guy huh? And someone evil actually did something.
Kind of like the old EXE villains a few times. A competent villain. |

Misora sees Kyuu and thinks it's Dossey, but it's really just Kyuu.
And actually, Brachio just likes the quiet lake. He only took over Kyuu so he could stop the tourism. He could have been guarding the dino skull, but he didn't seem too disappointed. He was just glad that all the noise was going away and his lake was peaceful again. _________________

Umm...this episode confused me a bit...why was Brachio attacking Subaru and Misora if he was just telling why he was there? And, he was the one guarding the Oopart, the "UMA", right? _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Speaking of UMA, Yeti, Brachio, and the other new Waves are called UMA, right? I remember on the dub of Digimon Savers that 'UMA' stands for 'Unidentified Mysterious Animal'. Sure, it might've been a random translation put together, but it kinda makes sense here too. ( Y'know, Yeti = Yeti/Bigfoot, Brachio = Nessie, etc. )
So... that skull oopart that looks like a T-Rex is actually for a plesiosaur? The glowy plesiosaur at the end seems to tell that, but I guess I'm taking it too literal. ^^; _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

After I read this thread, I thought that maybe the oopart that Gori got was Fire Dinosaur, but honestly, I'm not sure.
As for UMA, I think it's another radio frequency like FM and AM. I just can't remember what. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Sometimes it helps to be going for a broadcaster's degree.
So yeah, Unlicensed Mobile Access or Undintified Mystery Animals. Take your pick (both are recognized acronyms). I'd drift towards Unidentified Mystery Animal, but hey, it's your call.
I haven't seen this episode yet, but I'll try to get to it later. _________________

Hey, that's pretty clever for them to use. But I guess they had to be clever since they already used the easy ideas for names. |

Huh? What are you talking about?
UMA has official meaning which is (biiiig surprise)
未確認生物 - Unidentified Mysterious Animals
And it's clearly written on Capcom's RnR2 website. _________________

You do realize they're just fooling around the acronymn, right? No need to tense up about it. Even I, who takes just about any kind of foolishness seriously, would see through that. _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

o_O I was unaware that RNR's usage of FM/AM/UMA even meant anything other than them being homages to those radio frequencies. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

This is one of those very well animated episodes. (We've been having a lot of them lately). So many beautiful perspective shots and dynamic action. XP;
Also, more than ever, we get to see the MisoSuba relationship, as the Japanese like to call it. |
