Remember how I said that Misora was on something in last week's preview? Well, she ain't the only one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just like how Amachi set things up for the Brachio Wave two-parter, it is now Misora who sets up the Condor Geograph two-parter. From the images we're shown it's pretty likely that Nansca is based off of the Aztecs. She is all pumped up with inspiration from the images of a mountain civilization, but then Cancer Bubble walks across the screen with a cleaner reminding her that they're on a schedule.
Title Screen: Infiltration! Nansca Village
Subaru's watching some kind of brain-melting cartoon on TV. Akane starts talking to him, something about 'Canbag' (Cancer Bubble) and Misora. A commerical showing Misoar advertising come kind of 'Ryusei MAX' drink comes on, and Akane uses that to take another crack at Subaru and Misora's relationship, so he leaves in annoyance.
He gets a call from Orihime outside of his room. There's another possible OOPArt in Nansca Amerrope it seems. So of course, Subaru has to go and check things out again... After, he gets a second call from Misora, who's all pumped for another trip. She's even waiting in Subaru's room as Harp Note!
Thanks to the Wave Roads, the two are in the mountains, marvelling at the view. Misora quickly tires herself out from the thin air though. The pair discover that there's a massive pyramid behind them. Subaru thinks it's from Mu, but before they can explore it, a weird looking man with a weird looking outfit with a weird sounding voice appears and asks if they're from Nansca. They aren't, so they're not allowed in. (By the way, I can't tell if this guy keeps repeating 'Nansca', or if he's just slurring his words together.) Fortunately, Chief Osa Ogame comes to rescue them.
So, he explains how people used to sacrifice to the gods on these pyramids in exchange for protect and leads them inside. There's an altar inside with a large offering of fruit on it. Subaru asks Warrock if he thinks there are any OOPArts in there, but he doesn't think so. They are then invited to the village.
As they're walknig to it we have more expostition from Osa. He startles them with something about 'ningen', but I doubt he's talking about human sacrifice or anything. We also see a field of flowers that Misora finds pretty.
Everyone in the village is dressed similar to the weird guy from before, and also have his habit of saying 'Nansca', so it must be a tradition or something. And Luna is there too. Yes, Luna. I can't fathom why she's there except to bring in the ol' Love Triangle plot device, but maybe not, as she starts fangirling over seeing Misora.
So now Osa is on a stage with a large audience, and the bird on his head takes flight (Is that supposed to be a quetzal?). It circles around for a bit and lands on Luna's head. I 'pose she's blessed now. Don't think the Tesla Laugh was needed though.
At dusk, we spy Cancer Bubble on the Wave Roads, using a radar of sorts to locate Misora. He hops off and sees Osa entering the pyramid. Thinking he can just ask the old guy, Cancer Bubble follows him in.
He finds Osa at the altar, reciting a prayer. The room begins to shake and the flame from the torch takes the shape of a bird. It blasts the startled man with red light. Cancer Bubble is shocked when he looks back. Osa gets back to his feet, proclaiming himself to be God.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preview: Osa looms over Cancer Bubble, Condor Geograph charges his laza, then flies off with Luna. Subaru and Misoar look up, and then their wave forms are knocked out of the sky by the UMA.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kinda boring episode, with weird shit all around. The art was average, the plot, not that interesting. The one thing that stood out was the weird dude with the accent in the beginning.
I was kinda interested in how a battle with Condor Geograph was gonna work, seeing as how he acts more like an attack craft than an actual bird in the game, but after seeing the preview, I don't care anymore. Doesn't look like the epic airborne fight I was hoping for, especially now that Luna is condemned to suffer the 'damsel in distress' role again. At least this should be the last villian setup episode for a while, seeing as how all of the major villians have been introduced now. All that's left is Orihime stabbing everyone in the back. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Eh, I think that Nansca refers more to Nazca than to the Aztecs... just because the Nazca Lines fits the OOParts theme more than the Aztecs do.
Outside of that... eh... I figured it was mediocre, but I wasn't expecting this. Hopefully Tribe can pick up some steam when episodes 13 and 14 roll around... _________________

Well, yes, but everything, the pyramids, the quetzal, the sun carving in the altar room, just screamed ''AZTEC'' to me. The location didn't look much like Cahuachi either. It was far, far too fertile. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

This episode intrigues me very much. Plus, the somewhat accurate reference to Nazca gave logical sense as to why Condor Geograph was made as he is. The episode itself, though, made me laugh. Akane doing her 'matchmaking', Orihime noticing Subaru's blush, Misora instantly in Subaru's room, and Luna's discovery of Misora, just too much for me to contain! _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

Good to see I'm not the only one that found the episode amusing. Yeah no fighting happens, but we got some nice character interaction. Sure that can be boring when you don't know what people were saying, but the humor in the episode is funny none the less. |

The guy with the green hat is an NPC in the game He's awesome there, and he's awesome here.
As far as I knew, the Chief had no name. .-. Even his Transer called him 'Nazca Village Chieftan'.
He unwillingly merged with Condor...about that...
*Ryuusei 2 Spoilers*Nazca worships Mu. The Chief is apparently a kind person, but dove at the chance of merging with a being of Mu. _________________

Here I thought this episode was oddly amusing and all over the place because I've had too many cough drops today. Guess not...
Well, I think this is the first time in Tribe where I have no doubts at all about anyone helping Nomoto. None whatsoever. I know, I have to quit bringing that issue up.
Cancer's Misora stalking...er, um...tracking system was funny, as were a lot of the other little oddities that have been mentioned. The chief looked pretty awesome there at the end.
Blink, green-hat wearing, beady-eyed NPC compadre! BLINK!
*1/26 EDIT* - CLOUDS! LOTS AND LOTS OF CLOUDS!
Pan 12's flowers didn't really line up right, so just ignore some patchy work there.

I think Cancer was holding a Wave Scanner (not Star Carrier). It resembled a Wave Scanner anyway.
I found this episode confusing if nothing else, with all the dialogue. If I understood I might've liked it better, as there was a good bit of humor.
Now then...
Misora calls Subaru and we find a second later she's in his room as Harp Note. Found that a bit creepy.
Misora's Russian dance=massive rofl. _________________

I wonder how Luna will react when she's saved by Rockman this time.
Weirder if she was saved by Harp Note. _________________ "But there's no sense crying over every mistake.

In the game it's all pretty much a desert, the temple has grass but aside from that it's actually quite barren.
Hehe, the Green Hat guy was pretty awesome indeed. I was kind of amused with the way he spoke, plus random events were also amusing (cue the return of the naga laugh!) but overall it was a pretty uneventful episode. _________________
