Yes it's that cutsey time of year where were give our loved ones Metaphysiacl-heart associated candy, and cards, pushing millions of dollars into the greeting card industry.

So happy Commercialized Day.

I like Valentine's Day now that I'm not working at Hallmark anymore. :P Now it just seems like a normal day to me. Got a few chocolates from family and friends, that's all I really need. Extravagant gifts are so unnecessary. >_>

Shame, no women in my life to grace with chocolates, but I did spend time with loved ones today. Just not the right kind of love.

Went to dinner with my grandma. ^^;
It was certainly a nice evening though! Lots of chocolate and good bread.

I saved lives today.

No, seriously, I did.

Well, okay, maybe not seriously.

I gave chocolates to my co-workers and cute heart stickers to the kids in my reading class, and a few of my students gave me homemade cookies they'd baked. ^_^ Oh yes, a co-worker brought in this lovely box of Swiss chocolates for us all to share, too.

Valentine's is really low-key here, so it was surprisingly enjoyable. I think it's kind of ridiculous how bitter people (mostly single, but sometimes people in relationships) get about v-day. Hearing the whining and moaning has spoiled it for me a little in the past, because I was having fun while they had "the loneliest day ever etc etc" and talking about how much further their sociopathic tendencies were developing watching all the happiness going on in public and maybe it's the circles I travel in but it seems to get worse ever year. I'm glad I got v-day earlier than most people this year (GMT +8 time zone go!!) because it gave me a chance to actually enjoy it (single!) without having to listen to anybody complain.

Well, I used to ignore V-day, but now that I DO have a significant other to celebrate it with, I just had some good chit-chats with my honey Ms. Kitty.... Then again, it's not that we do NOT have good chit-chats on other days anyway XD

I just hope my present for V-day arrives at her address BEFORE the week is over, plz ^^;

I seemed to not encounter that for some reason O_o

...

...Oh..

That's because I was at the library for most of the day.

No wonder.

Nothing happened to me. I didn't even get candy. All I got was a misunderstanding. Long story.

Hehe. I hear ya. But I personally wasn't bitter. I like being single really. =P I was kinda bored all day yesterday since people were busy. =P

And I think White Day is more fun than V-day. =P

I enjoyed my Valentines Day. Although it is commercialized like other big holidays, the day went very well. I got lots of chocolate and lots of love =] I think this time of the year is great, although the remarks from some (single) people, like Izumi said, spoils the day a little. Also, you can have lots of fun on V-day even when you're single. Go swing around!

I had fun on this day. There were tons of happy couples and I love how sweet someone can be to his/her partner. My friend's boyfriend told her that he couldn't get her anything, and she was pretty disappointed. When class started, he ran to my classroom and asked where his girlfriend sat-- he had a huge balloon that sang, a teddy bear the size of a fifth grader, a bouquet, and everything else to make his girlfriend happy. Too bad his girl got to class before he could escape. It was soo sweet~<3

Haha, anyways I totally enjoyed my day. And I hope everyone else did.

I never would have guessed that, given like how it's played on in Anime's and Manga's.

Apparantly it was very popular in the past, but in the last few years the hubbub died down.
