After months of holding off on buying it, I finally picked up Zx Advent, and man, I want my $15 back. I played it for a little over a half hour and just shut it off mid mission. THIS GAME IS BORING!!! Zx was a great game, not perfect, but very enjoyable. All of the Zero games were fantastic, but after that, it started to drop. X7 was terrible, X8 was no better, BN should have ended with 3, as everything after that was utter trash, and I won't even mention the issues with BN7 (aka Star Force), and now this lame stuff. WHY Capcom, WHY??!! Why can they not make a new MM fun anymore? With stuff like this, they either need to lay MegaMan to rest or give us some more god damn remakes on the PSP. _________________ Once I was Dr Kain, but I died and have been reborn as Gankutsuou. |

Then don't play them?? IF they are that bad why play them? There's the Classic series and X1-5 MMZ1-4 (Personally I don't like Zero series but do like the story).
But in "retro" respect Megaman games have been the same formula ever since. The only real diffrent game that was off the formula was Legends series.
If you hate playing the entire series itself then play a diffrent game instead of saying how Capcom should stop making them, everyone has their own opinion of how they like the game.
May I suggest play Tales of Symphonia? (If you can it find now a days@_@)
I say give Zx and Starforce little bit more time. I mean Capcom did jump to the DS without putting the hanheld at full potential. Either than that, Go back and play the mention games at top.
Starforce though is not MMBN 7 so you know^_^o |

Lol. I actually like ZX and Advent. They're, shall we say, manageable versions of the Zero series. If you don't like it, then complain to capcom about it. Though I'm sure they get their fair share of hate mail already. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

BN was good, not exceptional but enjoyably good. Ryuusei fixed the formula and made it even more fun. ZX made Zero series on a far lower level of difficulty making things far more fun for us all, ZX Advent is ZX on steroids.
Don't like Megaman any longer? Lay it off. Noone's forcing you to play the games. _________________ SPOILER:

Opinion, Opinion, Opinion.
Look, you seem to be wary of a game, spend months thinking it won't be great, then when you buy it your suprised of it's quality.
Quote: | After holding off for 3 years, I finally picked up MMX8 since we had it 50% at BB, and after playing the first mission, it sucks. |
It may be wrong, but I think if you spend that much time thinking you won't like the game, then you won't like it if you buy it.
Look, The only time I can see when a game in the series should have ended was at X5, only because of X6's poor quality and the plot holes. X7 isn't bad, it's just diffrent. And EXE4 isn't THAT bad, just tedious, EXE5 is diffrent, and EXE 6 is one of the best in the series. Not Trash. And you don't even finish the freaking games. Finish one, then complain.
Also EXE is EXE, Star Force is Star Force. If Star Forces was EXE, it would be EXE 7, not Star Force 1. _________________

I would be happy if they just give us Megaman 9, Megaman Legends 3 and Megaman X9 than these new spin off of the games that I really have no interest in other than Megaman EXE series. I have yet played StarForce but it looks like BN with some newer features . Capcom stop making Spin Offs and kill off The first 3 series of the game. _________________

Everyone wants Legends 3. Even I do and I never played the others. I missed the 64 version. But I'd like Classic and X 9 and 10. If only to finish the series.
Or at least give us a book or something that tells us about the endings. |

:< X should have ended at 5 as Inafune intended...And then there would be, for the most part, no plotholes from X5-Z1
X6's Zero ending tried to amend the mistake of that horrid game, but...they went on to make X7 and X8 anyway @_@; _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

I stopped after X5, not because Inafune stopped though, rather that I didn't really enjoy X5. I never played Legends, so I'm not really wanting Capcom to make another one of those. However, I would like a Mega Man 9, just for the sake of giving the classic series an ending.
I'm actually pretty happy with the series that are coming out. I liked the first ZX game, but like you, I couldn't really get into Advent and only played it a few times before stopping. I really liked what they did with Star Force though and I am really looking forward to playing the sequel. _________________ Name shortened from Serenade.exe |

I really did not like X5 or 6. And the little I played of X7, I couldn't stand. The only gem post-X4 was X8. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

I like pretty much all of the games, yea X6 had a lot of level flaws in it, but the game was pretty decent. I kind of feel like EXE needs to be revived, they can easily do so. EXE is what brought me back into the megaman fold. I loved the PSP remakes and would love more remakes. The Zero and ZX series are my least favorite of them.
The entire franchise had its good times and its bad times, but to say put it to rest wouldnt be the right phrase. I'd say if Capcom was going to end it (its one of their cash cows, they wont), go back and look at the games everyone loved and implement it into one big game that spans all series. I actually had an idea for one that had multiple versions, each version told the story in that series perspective. In order to learn the entire story, you would need each version.
Anyway, just because the franchise is kind of in a slump at the moment, it doesnt mean that it needs to be ended. Capcom can easily make another game from any series, no problem. I think general consensus would be make another classic series game. I for one would like that and another exe game (Yes I know they ended it, but starforce 1 leaves enough time between it and exe 6 to make more) |

Personally, I love the Mega Man series all around. Classic, Zero, ZX, BN, et cetera. I am of course a huge fan of Mega Man, and it most likely being my favorite series.
May I suggest Mega Man: Powered Up? |

Well, there's nothing new in Mega Man on the horizon, except for Star Force 2, which is already released in Japan... is that rest enough?

Oh man this is basically a thread full of WELL IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T PLAY IT which is a pile of crap.
It really feels like the entire idea behind Ryuusei is really forced into the Megaman world, and I find the newer games to be pretty awful. _________________

I think Starforce was created before BN6. Correct me if I'm wrong...
Is it 21XX in Ryuusei? I've never played it, but am planning to consider trying it. |

No, Star Force would have begun production just after Battle Network 6 was released in Japan _________________
