Meh..I just don't like those two being used just to get Kos.

Cause when your near 45-70% you get a Automanic Ko with their Smash attack and Special B (Ganon)

I don't like Ike either, but his smash attacks are slow and well-telegraphed, balancing out the power. It's the choice of the makers of the tournament who to allow and who to disallow.

Isnt all Characters used to get KO's? Might as well banned every character since they also get KO's.

I say no ban any characters. I have no trouble fighting Ike or Ganon and some people too D:

...what? No character is going to be banned at all.

Low percent kills are part of Ike and Ganondorf's game, and like all characters, they have their flaws. It's all up to how a person uses them.

In any case, I'd worry more about which stages are to be banned rather than which characters. =p

Yeah. Stages are the problem. Maybe block any scrolling that goes up. That's the annoying part.

Suggestions for B7'd:

Hanenbow, Mushroomy Kingdom, Rainbow Ride, Rumble Falls.

Possible Request for B7'd:

Green Greens (Explosives are bad)

Yoshi Island (whatever the melee stage is called, the hole in the middle...blah...but then, that would also include Bridge of Eldin and Green Hill Zone..)

Hyrule Temple (As much as I love it, it's too big for a timed stock match, too many places to run)

Spear Pillar (Once again, as much as I love it, the disorientation from Dialga and Palkia is a bit much)

Any others? Not sure. But this isn't really an elitist tournament, so I'm sure most of these won't be too big a deal.

Well, more than likely, stages where you can be killed because of running into a badly placed hazard will be banned. (I'm looking at you, Port Town.)

But I'm pretty sure a good amount will still be allowed. Just wait and see.

Okay, I asked Sketch if I could help, and he agreed.

We're going to try and hold it this Sunday, and I've put the cut-off date for sign-ups this Saturday at 11 PM PST.

Since the last one couldn't go through, I'm going to assume that everybody that posted in this thread will be participating. I'll send a PM to each person on Sunday if they are. If you no longer want to participate, please state so and I'll remove you from the list.

In addition, our very own PlaguedOne will be in the tournament as well. Make sure you get his Friend Code!

As stated by the revised rules, matches will be done at 3-Stock, 5 Minute matches. This is to ensure that people have enough time to fight, but still have something to prevent stalling.

Stage-bans are being considered at the moment, so don't count on some of the more random ones. Please try to have the Random Stage Select option enabled so you can deactivate the banned stages from the random select.

In addition, please turn off all explosive items (Bob-Omb, Smart Bomb, Deku Nut), and all containers (Capsule, Barrel, Crate, Rolling Crate), along with the Dragoon Parts and Smash Balls. These items are all banned. We're considering the Hammer and Golden Hammer as well.

In any case, please comment here if you have any questions. We'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

ETA: If you guys want all items on, then by all means argue why. I have no problem with it, but some people might not want to lose to chance. We'll consider your posts in our decision.

That can help alleviate some pressure for you head-honchos!BTW,since Ryo and Izu are overseas,are they elligible to enter or is it state-side REO Brawlers only?

Random Stage Select option comes from unlocking all the stages in the game. That means the Melee stages as well.

Well, you can either use Skype or IRC, but we're going to have lag in the game regardless of what happens.

Guys,

I'm hosting a tourney on another website and this fellow named 'JaxReaper' has offered to post the tournament videos of that tournament on YouTube for all to see.If you guys are interested in having him pull it off,let me know.

To get these up online,you'll need to send the replays to him(I think via capture or something like that),then he'll upload from there.

I'd like a reply before you guys start the tourney,this way,he can assist with the posting.
