Alright, we managed to come up with some preliminary stage bans. For the most part, everything is good, but here are they anyway.

(Before anyone asks, I didn't forget Final Destination, it's only going to be used one time during the tournament, so don't bother using it.)
In any case, please read this list carefully. Stage bans were thought of pertaining to hazards and how easily it is to get KOed in them by them. Spear Pillar, while not that much of a threat, tends to lag very badly during online and is banned for that reason, among many others.
I also point to the stages under debate. Right now, we're undecided on if they should be banned, and we're currently discussing it right now.
If anyone wants clarification about why the stages are set up the way they are, or if they want to argue if one should be allowed/banned, please feel free to post. This list will be updated accordingly.

Anyway, from my count, 9 people should be participating:

Because we have 9 people, the right bracket will have one bye. This also means that the second match in the right bracket will be a 3 person Free For All. I will change the rules accordingly in the latest post.
That means it's standard tournament format with brackets. I'll determine the brackets randomly, and these people should be getting a PM from me tomorrow morning sometime. If anyone drops out, I'll change the bracket to accomidate.
Here is how the games are going to work.
3 stock at 5 minutes. You should have the More Rules option unlocked for this.
Only allowed stages will be played. If you accidentally pick a banned stage, you are allowed to drop out as long as you make sure it's alright with the opponent. You are only allowed to do this once per match, otherwise it's a disqualification.
Games will be best two out of three matches per opponent. Players are allowed to choose different characters during this time, but your choice is final once you choose a stage.
If at any time you drop out or disconnect during a match, it will be taken as a forfeit for that match. Exceptions will only include things that are totally outside both players control.
This one is just a bit of a disclaimer: THERE ARE NO UNFAIR KILLS. This is not a valid excuse for insisting why you lost your match. Rematches will only be considered if there is considerable doubt about how someone won a match. If possible, record a replay.
Items will be set on Medium unless otherwise stated.
Finally, have fun. This is a 'for fun' tournament, with no real prize to be won. Just enjoy yourself!
In any case, people will be added/dropped if they want to. They have until this Saturday to do it.
A more thorough PM will be made and sent to all the participants tomorrow.

Just wanna point out something a friend of mine brought up with me, On Shadow Moses Island, someone like....say, Metaknight, could end up infinite comboing someone against the wall. Just wanted to make that known.

Yeah, that's true...usually, the walls end up breaking, but Metaknight has short reach to preventh that.
I would say that if you know you're going up against a MK, don't pick Shadow Moses Island to be safe. Although, it's pretty hard to corner someone against a wall to infinite them in the first place, though.
