Well there is plenty they can do such as model V(Vava/Vile)
Then there's the hypermodes introduced in X command mission but I'll not go into more detail right now.

o_____o I didn't say anything about an X/Zero/ZX anime, I was talking about the game sales. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Go through a level, and beat the baddie, go through the next area, beat the baddie, go to the next area, and so on.
Granted, all of the Rockman games had a repetative nature, but the EXE and Ryuusei games had something more of a RPG sort of thing going on too, adding more characters and slightly wider stories with slightly more depth to them.
For example, in the X series there are only a handful of main characters: X, Zero, Axl, Signas, Sigma, the Navigators, and whatever enemy bosses are in the game.
In the EXE and Ryuusei series, there are at least a dozen characters in the entire game that all have some significance to the plot as a whole, be they boss characters or support characters.
Now, that's not to say it can't be done. The Sonic the Hedgehog games are essentially the same thing over and over, yet somehow, several cartoons were made from it, most of them decently successful. In all, it might be interesting to see how they would pull it off.
I just wish they'd finish Ryuusei off properly first. Really, is that too much to ask? :c |
I think a Rockman Zero anime could go really far, provided they did it in a fashion similar to, say, Ghost in the Shell: SAC. I agree that repetitiveness would need to be avoided, but such a thing isn't usually a problem in 18+ animes. And that's what Rockman Zero would need to be: for mature audiences.
You'd need to cut down on the boss enemies, that's for sure, but keep a few of them just so Zero has someone's ass to kick. And a lot more of the story should be made more philosophical or politically-oriented, so as to make it more interesting than just hacking-and-slashing (even though that stuff with Zero is cool).
But the biggest change should be this: Zero should be very easy to injure or kill in comparison to the games. He'd actually have to use a lot of skill or just get plain lucky to win his fights against boss enemies. And even if he should win a lot of the time, he should still get hurt a LOT. To really be a "legendary destroyer", he should have the skill to back up that title.
Oh, and you'd need Rie Tanaka again as Ciel. And I'd prefer her personality to be that of the game version, not the manga version (that Ciel just didn't feel right to me). _________________ It's not easy being green!... Or small..... or... the youngest in the family.......... |

Well, here's the thing: both Rockman animes were made for kids because they're the easiest demographic to reach (let's face it: kids will watch anything). So, unless Capcom can magically generate A LOT of interest in a more mature Rockman anime, I don't see it happening, since there's practically no way it can compete with heavy-hitters like Bleach, Death Note, or even Naruto. Not unless they have A LOT of money at their disposal to make it look and sound nothing short of epic. Which I imagine they don't. xP

If they were to make a Zero-based game, they'd use the game as a reference, since everyone knows that that manga was made for laughs and not to be taken seriously. =B _________________

Oh, you guys are going to love this
From the look of things, either Ryuusei no Rockman or Duel Masters (or even both) is going to get replaced by some anime known as Penguin no Mondai. There's no solid air date for it, as it just says April of this year, so either show could get replaced by this. But my bet is it's Rockman.

Duel Masters still goes on? I'm a little surprised. The dub was good though. |

Could be both actually, since I heard that Duel Masters is coming to an end as well. Not that it, really matters to us. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

But yeah it is likely that ryusei goes..... _________________ When all else fails hit it with a HAMMER!!!!! |

That was... strange.
On the preview for Episode 20, there is ALOT of footage that was changed between the preview and when the actual episode aired.
EDIT: Ok, I wasn't going insane when I said they changed one of the scene locations. It wasn't to the same extent, but it's still changed. Here's some screenshots.
#1 (This one's a bit harder to explain now. They actually completely changed Misora/Harp Note's animation during the scene she jumps into the gate)
Main Episode:
#2 (Minor, but I noticed this right off the bat when comparing it again...):
#3 (...Different Location...):
