It's that time again...

AMV Title: Live and Learn
Song: Live and Learn
Artist: Crush 40
Album: *drumroll* Shadow the Hedgehog
Editors: TheWebbuilder
NOTE: This AMV contains S=P=O=I=L=E=R=S for Ryuusei No RockMan/MegaMan Star Force. Nothing overly major, but it's there nonetheless.

This is the second version, there's 1:10 seconds left in the song... and I'll fill those in as the first season comes to a close.

I had no idea that you had made new AMV's. I really should check this forum more often.

I've watched your latest AMV, and I can tell you that I really liked it. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I watched it several times after each other. The music sounds good and you and Turbine have chosen a lot of scenes, giving a lot of variety. The AMV had a great flow throughout, and was entertaining from beginning until the end without any weak spots.

Having said that, I do have a few comments to make, (just observations/impressions)

- I really like how the mouth movements of Warrock and Subaru matched with the music. It fitted well without looking strange.

- My most favorite parts were around 00:30-1:20 and 3:10-4:10. The combination of music and scenes really left an impression on me. I enjoyed all the other parts very much as well, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be this part.

- Around 2:14, we see a scene with some text in it. The rest of your AMV is textfree as far as I can see and although the scene was brief, I noticed it, it stood out a little.

- During the AMV, and this could very well just be my imagination, it was almost if I could hear some background noise, a kind of soft static. I'm not sure if it is just me or that it has to do with the quality of the music.

An example would be around 0:50-1:05.

Once again, an awesome AMV. You and Turbine did an amazing job with this. I really like it!

Doesn't this come from Sonic Adventure 2? Or did it originate in Shadow first? I have no idea, consdiering I only played Adventure 2.

Anyhoo, Ryuusei's character (forget his name)'s style changes seem a lot more impressive than EXE's. Or are they called style changes anymore? If they're not, then what are they called? (Ahh, it's Geo Stelar [Earth/Stars?]. But Omega-Xis [the dragon dude, no?] just comes from 2 Greek letters, omega and xi. Oh, well, unoriginality reigns. [War-Rock isn't very original either, considering that it's the name of an MMOFPS owned by an American company...] Why AM and FM, though? I'm thinking that a lot of the concepts here are based on Radio.)

EDIT: I've never played Ryuusei. When he becomes the armored guy, does his left hand become the dragon's head, or is it just attached?

(Damn, I'm just getting introduced to Ryuusei here. Anyway, a lot of the music is made by Naoki? I love their DDR songs... it's 220X instead of 21XX. Funny how they still make the mistake of giving themselves an error window of only 10 years again...)

If this post starts getting full of comments from similarities and differences, I'm sorry, it's just that I haven't made a blog entry for it since I don't know enough. It seems that IPC survived for 200 years. The microwave in episode 1 is made by them.)

The song did originate in SA2, but I used the version that was produced for ShtH.

Anyway, I'll see if I can break it down for you. Ryuusei is inded built around radio themes. Y'see, WarRock/Omega-xis happens to be an alien from Planet AM that exists entirely out of radio waves- as such, he can't interact with the physical plane. Subaru/Geo is a human being, he can't interact with the radio-wave world. However, when the two fuse into RockMan/MegaMan (the 'armored guy') then they can interact with both the radio and physical planes, and their basically become Superman, super-strength, super-speed, increased resistance, can walk through walls, etc.

WarRock seems to prefer to materialize over Subaru's left hand. He doesn't replace it, just covers it; so that he can function as the RockBuster- their default attack. Throughout the first season of Ryuusei, WarRock would have to 'eat' a Battle Card in order to activate it since he was covering their Transer. But since the second season it hasn't been necessary.

The new style changes are now known as the 'Star Force', and the action of using them is called 'Star Break'.

Thanks a lot. (But I have a few scientific beefs with them...)

Yeesh, man, I am so sorry. I honestly have absolutely no idea why I never saw your post before now; I though that T7P was the only one to have commented on it.

Anyways, the scenes you liked were Turbine's work. I kid you not, the guy's a master at pulling out odd scenes and stringing them together like that; I'll never know how he does it.

The static was probably due to the ripping method. We literally took a line right out of the computer and right back in to tape the music. It was being streamed off of some website Turbine had bookmarked.

But all in all, I'm glad you liked it. Smile
