I'm interested in getting it (being a big Mario Kart fan since the N64) but I'm kinda strapped for cash right now, and what little available money I have is set aside for Soul Calibur 4. Mario Kart's definitely next on my list, though, and while I had misgivings about the Wheel (I actually heard somebody jokingly rename it the Wiil, and I think it fits rather well XD ) I heard it controls rather well. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

The Wiil feels amazingly nice and I just love using it. _________________

That is a perfect name. And I heard it handles well too. Plus, it must be pretty full. And Kart is always fun so this may be fun X 2. |

One thing I've noticed from reviews that's a bit of a concern is the reported increase in "affect all other racers" items. While it's always nice to provide racers who are alittle behind a boost to keep things interesting, I thought the Invnicistar and Lightning took care of those fine already; but now we've got things like POW blocks, Squids that affect everyone else regardless of distance and still those ridiculous Blue Shells; I think perhaps they went a tad bit overboard. If only there was an option to disable certain items... _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Yes, but if you disable the items, all you have is a basic racing game with Mario.
That's like Brawl with no items. It's just a Nintendo dressed fighting game. |

I think HeatShadow was talking about disabling specific, single items. Like, say, the Blue Shell. Those things have been appearing ridiculously often since Double Dash, plus they're pretty much the only thing that became LESS balanced between MK64 and MKDD. _________________ Math problems? Pretty much. I can deal with Red and Green shells, Bananas, Mushrooms, no problem. But when somebody in the back of the line blasts me sky-high (how does that help him, anyway? It only affects the first-place person and anyone immediately around him, so unless the person gets a Blue shell and Invincistar one after another, they're STILL going to be in last place) it's just ridiculous. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

No, it's not. It messes you up. And that's the point. At least with human players. But I guess an item switch would be OK. I don't usually have problems with items. And, I like the Wiil. Although it seems that the cycles work better with it.
Or at least with me. |

i have to say, i really suck with the bikes. i think they're a bit too touchy. and, i hate Lightning even more than Blue Shells. has anybody noticed that when you're in first, just about the only items you get are Bananas and Green Shells? _________________ just call me xfyre. not xfyrethespooky. |

I played a bit of it over the weekend. The Wiil was surprisingly easy to master. The AI was a [censored] because the racers kept using lightning bolts.
Rainbow Road was insanely scary. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

It's supposed to be fun if not a little scary isn't it. That's the classic Kart course isn't it. |

there's the one curve in the middle where there's no rails, and it's pretty sharp. i kept flying off that one the first time i played it. but, Manual helps with that. _________________ just call me xfyre. not xfyrethespooky. |
