This is a humorous story that I was shown from digg.com

Quote:
A 13 year old from Texas who stole his Dad's credit card and ordered two hookers from an escort agency, has today been convicted of fraud and given a three year community order. Ralph Hardy, a 13 year old from Newark, Texas confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his father's existing credit card company, and took his friends on a $30,000 spending spree, culminating in playing "Halo" on an Xbox with a couple of hookers in a Texas motel. The credit card company involved said it was regular practice to send extra credit cards out as long as all security questions are answered.
The escort girls who were released without charge, told the arresting officers something was up when the kids said they would rather play Xbox than get down to business.

Quote:
Asked why he ordered two escorts, Ralph said he thought it was the thing to do when you win a "World of Warcraft" tournament. They told the suspicious working girls they were people of restricted growth working with a traveling circus, and as State law does not allow those with disabilities to be discriminated against they had no right to refuse them.
Midgets FTW!

Here is the news article. http://www.money.co.uk/article/1000390-13-year-old-steals-dads-credit-card-to-buy-hookers.htm read it and share your thoughts on the article XD

Reminds me of a similar situation. I do not have a post to back this up, but it is fairly rooted in KoL culture.

Anyway, there was a user who was obscenely rich in-game--his wealth amounted to the billions. From the tales I have been told, he would often buy items at ridiculously marked-up prices in order to gain rapport with the player base, and seemed to "buy" his friendships with other players.

As it turns out, the user was a child, about this child's age, and he had stolen his mother's credit card and donated for his wealth (in game, there is a relatively rare item that a player gets for each $10 donated to the game's creator, and said items can be in turn sold for a decent chunk of in-game currency.) His parents became suspicious when they got the credit card bill, and it turns out that he donated well over $1000 to the game upon investigation. Naturally, the money was returned (as it was obtain illicitly.)

Just thought I'd share this similar story.

Didnt know you could order hookers with a credit card.

Lucky guy, won't die a virgin.

But yeah.. It's not uncommon. I just haven't seen such an insane amount.

>_> When I was in Junior High, there were a few pregnant 13 year olds...

Sounds fake to me. I can't imagine these pubescent boys were both avid gamers and had access to the interwebs, were smart enough to steal papa's credit card, and yet didn't know the... er... proper usage of a hooker?

Eh....... That's not right Marisa. But yeah, that's true. Or else they got some bad ones. Those kinds you wouldn't do that with.

Aside from the part in the article where it said "The $1,000 a night girls sensing something up played "Halo" on the Xbox with the kids, instead of selling their sexual services," that is.

In addition to everything this whole article is apparently a hoax.

Notice the lack of real names, for instance. Razz

It's funny how the article ended with the kid noting that he wishes to be a politician someday. He's definitely off to a great start, that's for sure.

Nothing appears especially hoax-like about it. It's a far-fetched story to be sure, so I wouldn't be surprised, though.

Ralph Hardy isn't a real name?

Ah, must've read over that. Well, he got close.

And I dont know why, but the article really makes me laugh.
Especially the part where it says his father didn't mind.

Hmm, didn't notice that before. In any event, I'm not surprised. It is a far-fetched story after all.

Yeah. It's not to explicit (I could spell the word at first) and it sounds funny. So it's postable here.
