Yes, but remember, we were also promised link abilities with the Japanese games, and we didn't get it in our release.

GoNintendo puts the American release date at June 25, 2008. Just about a month away.

In other news, I think I've gotten someone in my art class who is a fan of Battle Network interested in Star Force.

Double Bump Up My Post

I went to the library today, and read the latest issue of Nintendo Power, and discovered that there's a review for SF2. It's just a column, so there wasn't much to it, but the reviewer mentioned that the encounter rate seems to be higher, and how, unsurprisingly, the gameplay is like everything else in the Battle Network line: mostly the same, but with some new things thrown it. The score was 7/10, I think.

There was also a full page ad for the games, the likes of which I have not seen since the days of BN5.

If you could, ComicX6, scan it for us to see, perhaps? I don't want to be selfish or anything. I just need proof. I really am limited to where I can go, too.

Uh, sorry, it was the library's property, not mine. And I don't have a scanner anyway. But I know that Xhunter has put NP scans on his site, http://rockmanamv.com, in the past, so I suggest you check there.

Thanks, that was plausible proof of the article. Now, I'm getting excited over it all over again.

I talked to a store manager at Game Crazy, and she told me that both version of Star Force 2 will hit, but not at the same time? As the first will hit June 17 as the 2nd one comes out on June 24.....as always they might not have the right dates, but it might be possible both games wont release at the same time.

One thing still perplexes me: will the Wave Command cards still be available to the US version? TUS might have answered it already, but it's still a rumor as far as credibility goes.

Edit: I checked TUS today and saw that CoA has confirmed the Wave Command cards, according to the update. Disregard above post.

The guide for the Wave Command Cards is out, and here are some name changes, provided by TUS and Sketch.

Bly - Rouge (Literal translation of 'Burai'.)
Phantom Black - Dark Phantom (Works.)
Gori Monjirou - Rich (Pfft! At least they didn't do the King Kong reference I was expecting.)
Brachio Wave - Plesio Surf (Plesio from plesiosaur, not the Italian comme.)
Kyuu Demegawa - Gerry Romero (Named after George A. Romero?)
Condor Geograph - Terra Condor (Why not Condor Geoglyph?)
Osa Agame - Shaman (I guess it works.)
Goat Kung-Fu - Kung-Fu Kid (Insert facepalm .jpg here.)
Empty - Hollow (Was this really needed?)
Orihime - Vega (Perfect localization.)
Auriga General - General Auriga (This is fine.)
Apollon Flame - Apollo Flame (Works either way.)
Maeda Ai (Some throwaway character) - Amy

And for the hell of it, some attacks:

Thousand Kick - Million Kick
Nadare Daiko - Avalanche
Empty Magic - MT Magic
Bly Break - Rouge Break
Gekiryuu Wave - Torrent Wave
Warrior's Blood - Warrior's Soul
Muramasa Blade - Muramasa
Zetsumetsu Meteor - Extinction Meteor
Fuumashippuuden - Demon Fury

Interestingly enough, Genocide Blazer appears to be untouched.

That is interesting. But some of those names are weird. A few fit but some are weird. Should be interesting to see everything else.

Link had the book first. I just reported the names to Drkx. Now I have the book and there are more names.

Rich's Last name is DotCom. So Gori Monjirou became Rich DotCom.

Final Boss:
Ra Mu is now Le Me

Didn't the dot com bubble already, like, burst?

As for Ra Mu>Le Mu, I hang my head, because that appears to be some kind of domain tool that you can buy from -surprise- Lemu.com.

45 minute later EDIT: I just got MT Magic. I'm slow. Rolling Eyes

I'm surprised, really. I would flame these names, but that is not really me. I can understand these names. I'm just confused about MT Magic. What does it stand for? Plus, conisdering Orihime's name, WHY VEGA! I can understand that Orihimes was used already (Bleach), but I know 3 other Vegas in other series (Street Fighter, MLaaTR). My head's in pain. <goes to find Aspirin>

lol...the reason for that one is because the princess Orihime in the Japanese version of the Weaving Princess folktale was representing the star Vega. Look up information on Tanabata if you want to know more about it.

I wonder is there a Hikoboshi/Altair in RNR2?

MT Magic is a clever way for the fans to still get to call Empty Empty. It made me giggle XD

Izumi: RnR2 spoilers- Hikoboshi is Orihime's dead lover in RnR 2. She just wants to revive him with the majicks of Mu.

When Drkx and I were going over this stuff. We were both confused by MT Magic. Then we both got it at the same time.

People seem really thrown off by Kung-Fu Kid. I'm not sure why. It's still Kung-Fu Goat. A goat is also known as a kid; remember?

I got those easily. It's DotCom and the final boss that confuses me.

Ever heard of the dotcom surge? In the early 90's, when the intarwebs came out or was made public or something, there was a sudden leap of investment in the dotcom business before crashing, or something like that. I never payed attention to that u_u

But yeah, the Dotcom surge was how a lot of people made a lot of money for a while...
