Mongeese are awesome.
One more tip for new con goers. If you're rooming in a hotel, bring a lock for your suitcase. There's a maid in the Days Inn who steals pants. I'm not joking either. Besides the maid, I'd lock up my things anyway, especially if you're rooming with people you don't know. Never hurts to be safe. |
Ruby, why don't you put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door to keep them from cleaning your room. I wouldn't trust any of those maids, especially seeing how sketchy they are last year. Of course if you need towels or anything, you can ask them in the morning if they knock or get it from the front desk. _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Update on Hecxz
Confirm it, im going, just got done getting my plane ticket and paying my reg. Ryo, you'll get my half of the room fare before we leave, if not, I promise you, as soon as I run into you in Baltimore after landing, you'll get it!
See you at con!
Also you all might want to check your flight providers about baggage, I believe most of them are now charging for a 2nd checked bag, like example, most remember the large box I was lugging Airman in, well im using Delta again this year, but it seems im going to be charge a extra $25 if I decide to dawn him again at con. Just giving a heads up! Im just hoping it just a one time charge, and not $25 to leave, and $25 back, eeekkkk!!! Apparently the charge comes from the rising cost in gas prices. Dang Economy! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

I believe the charge is each way you come, if I'm not mistaken. :/ But I could be wrong. Thankfully I bought my tickets back in February, so I'm exempt from all the fees (which is good, especially since I'm flying American, which has the highest fees so far). _________________ "Cats are interesting. You'd want a sturdy combination lock, but you need to make sure it also has a small keyhole at the bottom. This is so airport security can open your bag without having to break your lock. _________________

Ne, guys, um... My transportation is a bit uncertain this year. If need be (and I'm sure I'll know what's happening at least a week before the con), can someone driving down from north of me (Newfies?) swing by and pick me up? ;3; I'll chip in on gas fare and such.

I'm getting pumped for Otakon and the final plans are being made! I look forward to seeing you all again this year! Mario Cart DS anyone? _________________

Yeah, we are in a tight transportation spot ourselves. It looks like we're going to miss Thursday badge pickup thanks to the Greyhound schedules. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

Well I'm all set for Otakon, Just gotta put the finishing touches on my new costume and were all set, we got our room over at the Radisson and we'll be ariving Friday afternoon around 3-4, Does anyone know if one of our own has a booth down in the Artist Alley so I can find everyone? I'm kind of a Recluse and I have trouble keeping in touch with everyone, so I cant really coordinate with everyone ya know? I'm not bringing Bass this year, I want to be able to have a Dying from Heat free Otakon this year, and this New Costume will Help with that. So if anyone has a spot in the artist alley let me know. Its the easiest way for me to find everyone and hook up, especialy since I wont be having my familiar costume (Lets face it , in that Bass Costume you can pick me out of a crowd especialy if I'm wearing the helmet cause i'm so *#&@(&# tall LOL) but I think everyone will get a kick out of the new costume, though I wont say who it is _________________ "Dont insult the Fanny Pack! All right guys. Once again, I'll be supplying the Wii and RF Modulator for Room 2. Here's what I'm bringing to Otakon in terms of games and accessories.
Mario Strikers Charged
Mario Kart
Pokemon Battle Revolution
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Wii Sports
3 Wiimotes
3 Nunchucks
2 Classic Controllers
2 Gamecube Wavebirds
1 Wii Wheel
I also have a slew of VC games including, but not limited to: SMB 1-3, SMW, Mario Kart 64, Dr. Mario Wii, and Gunstar Heroes. If anyone wants to supply anything else, that would be great.
As usual, I'll also bring my grab bag of GameStop promo throw-a-ways on Thursday.
That is all... for now,

I come bearing some bad news.
Dragonman and I have been forced to postpone our Gemini Spark cosplay by one year. The guy I commissioned to make our arms hasn't replied to any of my messages since June and I seriously doubt he's going to get them in to me before my family leaves on August 3rd.
So this year, there will be no Gemini Spark. _________________

Well, I've been thinking about what I'm going to bring along, and I've run across a minor issue with Touhou 9.
Basically, Touhou 9 has a 2-player VS. mode, if anybody would be interested in playing. But it requires P2 to use the numeric keypad for movement, which doesn't exactly work very well on a laptop. I've experimented around with key remapping, but no matter what I remap them to, the keyboard still jams constantly.
So, I'm thinking about buying a USB keyboard to bring along, but that'd be a huge waste of money and luggage space if nobody wants to play.
In short: Would anybody else be interested in playing Touhou 9 at Otakon?
It's a head-to-head top-down shooter, where each side shooting stuff sends bullets and stuff to the other side, plus you can attack each other. If you want to see it in action, I have a gameplay video on YouTube: [link] The video is on Extra Mode, which is basically a series of 9 sudden-death (more intense attacks, die after one hit) matches against the AI. If the game seems to hard in the video, keep in mind it's sudden death mode and regular matches aren't that intense. _________________ Math problems? Call 1-800-[(10x)(13i)^2]-[sin(xy)/2.362x]. |

New update on the Hecxz-ellent One!
Ryo, $155 you will have paypal to you by next Monday days before leaving so you can get it over to your bank account. Im very sorry it took this long to get to you, but I hope you understand with everything that has been going on, since im on my own now.
As for Megaman cosplay this year......I decided against lugging Airman back, or for that matter another Robot Master, due to the costly price it would take just to get him to and from con. $50 to wear a costume for a weekend, don't think so......
So I'm deciding on if I should dust off ol' Higsby or not....though I dont wanna feel like the only EXE cosplayer, since EXE is defunct....bad choice of words I know.....
Though my main focus this year, is pulling off my Old Snake cosplay, that and I'll be bringing Vash back to the party, im thinking of another outfit too, but I'll save that for a suprise....though it doens't relate to anime, heh
As for Link......I take first dibs on anything MGS in your bags! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Well with no Gemini Spark, this is going to be my cosplay list:
- Subaru Hoshikawa for OtaRockman (dunno how many of those there are gonna be)
- Eyeshield 21
- L (as portrayed by Ken'ichi Matsuyama)
So on Friday, if you guys see a football player with the number 21 on a red jersey and no shoulder pads, chances are it's me. _________________

I am. It looks like we're going to be taking the 6:30 bus on Sunday evening; if I take a Monday bus, I miss my flight back to Japan, and that sucks. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

Sadly no Tales. Though with Vesperia and Symphonia 2 coming out later this year, I might have some Tales stuff for next year. Same for Halo.
Hecxz - Noted. I think I might have an artbook left, but that's about it.
And I finally got my costumes squared away now:
- Jayne Cobb (Firefly)
- Dr. Horrible (Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog)
- Wolfwood (Trigun)
- Surprise (Well it's a surprise. If I tell you now, it's not a surprise)
