As I read from Game Radar, the Nintendo Power magazine should hit news stands on July 9th, for all the doubters, heck, Game Radar has been giving full coverage of MM9 this whole week with crisp screenshots, info, and even a interview with Inufane on the project. _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

It's on shelves now, actually. Saw it at the store earlier.
Now, if only my subscription copy would get here...

Hm, I saw this the other day and had the same reaction as some. "Looks faked." But there it is in Nintendo Power...and its not April 1st.
I'm happy to see a new original Megaman game be created, in NES style graphics no less. But is this a good or bad thing? I'm not sure. After playing so many NES Megaman games, they sorta start to run together... Will a "new" one of that style be as refreshing as we think? I would hope they use some sort of new technology available to spice things up a bit. And I would hope they eliminate things like sprite slow downs and graphical glitches.
I'm also wishing it was available on more than one system, or at least in a hard copy version somehow. It wouldn't take much. Having it as a download only game kinda cheapens it. I don't even own a Wii at this point, so I won't even be able to play it... But oh well. I can't play Megaman Powered Up either. Heh. I hope to eventually own a Wii and that the game will still be available when I do. I'm a big Megaman fan, but I do have to wonder. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

You're obviously not paying attention to the internet. Mega Man 9 is going to be on all three consoles. _________________

Obviously. Actually I meant that I wanted it to be on a system I own. lol Like the DS. *wink wink* Also, it's still a "download only" game, which I find a little odd. I'm a collector type of person and it would just be nice to have it in a physical form. Has anyone seen the promo art for it?

It looks like how Megaman X would have looked in 80s video game art. An interesting concept. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

Beat me too it. Remind me of the American box art for 1 and 2. Which is KINDA cool....lol......You know they should have continued the artwork and kept it consistant, you know so that Japan and the US each had thier own unique box art, would make it good for collectors. _________________ "Dont insult the Fanny Pack! I remember seeing the promo art somewhere a few weeks ago, and now that I'm looking at it again does remind me of the boxart designs that were used for the first two Mega Man games on the NES. Dr. Wily just comes out at me as being similar to Darth Vader what with his mouth being covered up, and Mega Man does bear a resemblance to X which could have more meanings than what we're seeing. _________________ --Official Nintendo.com Sage even without the actual forums being there-- |

The old box art reminds me of the incredibly american tv show.

So did anyone get the game yet? I got it today, and damn is this game hard. XD
It is so much fun though. It is awesome seeing the classic Blue Bomber in action again. _________________ Name shortened from Serenade.exe |

Hm, from what I've seen, aside from some unkind spike placement and disappearing blocks, this is nothing someone who can breeze through Zero 2's Crystal Cave or Advent's Ourobouros with minimal damage shouldnt't be able to cope with. Professional reviewers must really suck at Megaman games, because I can't see how anyone can get their ass kicked by those elephants in Concreteman's stage unless they do it on purpose.
Splashwoman fight's exactly like Leviathan... _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

I got my ass kicked by that last elephant until I started using robot-master weapons on it. XD
Splash Woman's trident is quick and easy to aim.
I do, however, keep getting torn up by Jewel Man's stage...requires more patience than I have, lol. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

The fortress stage is like heck. I think I should get like 9 or 10 lives, 7 E-Tanks, and some shock absorbers just to make it to the fourth part. Why? Because the stage completely resets itself after getting out or game over. That sucks completely.
Plus, I know all the weaknesses of the 8 main bosses. _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

Would you mind posting it for us who don't? It would be a great help. It seems that Splashwoman is weak to Hornetman's weapon. |

Weapon > Robot Master
Hornetman > Splashwoman
Splashwoman > Concreteman
Concreteman > Galaxyman
Galaxyman > Jewelman
Jewelman > Plugman
Plugman > Tornadoman
Tornadoman > Magmaman
Magmaman > Hornetman _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Galaxy Man and Splash Woman are easy first-kills with the Rockbuster, but their stages are a hassle. :( _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

My personal choice for first kill is Hornet Man. I love Hornet Chaser to death. It also means Tornado Man is left in the final three so you'll have access to Rush Jet to just skip those spinning platforms. _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

I did Hornet Man last...I found it was easier to conserve life in that stage (i.e. when there are SCISSORS flying at you) if you had Jewel Satellite on. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*
