Interesting...the videos would seem to suggest that some cards have an alternate "Support" version as well. For example Area Eater swipes for 100 damage, but can also get rid of one area.

I wonder if that one will work in Boss fights though, when I think of some of the carefully constructed fights (Brachio-Wave I'm looking at you) I wonder if in those it won't work.

New stuff. According to TUS, the Red Joker is initiated through the use of the Joker program. The thing is, we don't know who the original user of the Joker program is (speculate here). Plus, the Red Joker's NFB will be officially known as Red Gaia Eraser. They describe it as an attack in which Rockman will gather energy into generators (the two spheres) on his shoulders and then fires a destructive energy beam that sweeps the field (range: unknown).

Note: I didn't copy-paste this, just edited it as best as I can to not plagerize.

Both of my two top fandoms have faked me out today. First the newest One Piece chapter involves parasitic mushrooms and the protagonist inadverdently finding himself in what looks like the shipwrecked male's fantasy, and now Capcom has added an awesome new wallpaper after weeks of nothing but Black Ace. How awesome? this awesome:

I don't really have much else to say, aside from the fact that that was so totally random it was brilliant. And hopefully ol' Inspector Gadget will actually do something worthwhile in this game. I had hopes in SF2, but all he did was just stand there...

Finally, COROROG update. We finally get a look at what Red Joker looks like. Which isn't that bad.

Anyway, there's not much new news at present. There are ''Terror'' Noise Changes, most likely a darkened, more powerful, version of the initial Noise Change.

Also, if you delete an enemy with at least 100% Noise, you'll get a random card. I don't know if this means you get an extra card at the end of the battle, or a bonus card like when you counter.

I want some story info next, Capcom.

I'm impressed, actually. For some reason this form is a lot more appealing than Black Ace was. And it looks like the Big Bang attack utilizes a little tri-beam action, very eye-pleasing.

Hey, do you want some more scans? Head to a certain Graping Blog for some pretty neat images of Black Ace and Red Joker. The page's in Japanese, of course, so the online translation is rather dodgy. What I can grasp from this linguistic bloodbath is that there are a buch of details on support cards and white cards that I really don't feel like reiterating. The blogger then compares the transformations to a stag and atlas beetle, and then apologizes for that.

At the bottom it mentions that the game commercials will be animated by Production I.G. Yes, the studio responsible for works such as End of Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, FLCL, and xxxHolic. Why am I taking note of this? Because the Rockman anime, animated game series cutscenes, and presumably the game commercials have been done by Xebec, an rather inferior studio. Just ask any Shaman King or Love Hina fan.

Very interesting. I like the design of Red Joker, even more than Black Ace, which was already pretty nice. Although I'll probably never play the game, I do like the direction they are taking. Not bad IMHO.

You know, I like big weapons like the big bang moves. They would be of great help with bosses. And the Red Joker one is big and cool looking.

I like how Red Joker looks, but I was kind of hoping for something a little more cool looking. I'll still be getting that version though.

I like how in some of the screenshots, the Earth is in the background. For a series about space, there was depressingly little outer space action going on.

Acid Ace stole his handgun from Zero. It does the exact same thing as the Z-Buster.

I hope the next update sheds some light on the boy and girl and what their transformations are. Some info on Solo would be appreciated as well.

Not much of an update this time, just a few more Red Joker wallpapers, and an Acid Ace wallpaper, along with another post covering the basic rules in the battle. This includes the new Support ability for battle cards.

Yay, the story info I was waiting for, courtesy of CoroCoro! As always, go to TUS for scans.

Corvus and Virgo are indeed FMs. They've been corrupted by the Noise and are evil, and they are partners with the two children.

The girl is named Quentia, and she can Wave Change with Virgo to become Queen Virgo, the red queen boss that we've seen in a sceenshot. Her official artwork shows her summoning a water dragon with her scepter. Quentia herself looks like one of those quiet, introverted, Rei Ayanami-type characters. Heck, she's even got blue hair and red eyes. Her official art depicts her holding a flaming Noise card.

The boy is named Jack, and looks to be a foil for his sister/partner, for he looks psychotic. He can Wave Change with the FM Corvus to form the fire-elemental Jack Corvus. He looks like...like Rouge after getting an Xtreme makeover. So I guess my prediction about the two filling up the Jack and Queen spots turned out right.

Oh, but what about the King spot? Well, the evil organization this time around is known as the Dealers (ba dum phish), and another member, possibly the leader, is referred to as Mr. King. His design looks awesome. Very aristocratic and sinister.

The boss contest winner is called Moon Disaster. His design is kind of kiddy, but he does look kind of interesting.

But wait, there's still more! Now we know what Noise Change is in what version:

Black Ace: Libra Noise, Corvus Noise, Cancer Noise, Gemini Noise, Ophiuca Noise.

Red Joker: Cygnus Noise, Taurus Noise, Crown Noise, Wolf Noise, Virgo Noise.

That was a very solid update. Why oh why did the anime have to go get itself canceled...?
