Long story, shortened version- all started with a commericial on kids wb that i was mildly interested in, so decided to watch the show. Started at acess though, XD, took me about a week to figure out what was going on...then i got into the manga, then the video game, and THEN the japanese version*fufufufufuf*. _________________

But R.EXE is a different story. I first got to know R.EXE through the Dutch dubbed episodes that were broadcasted on Jetix here in Holland. I thought the series wasn't THAT great because of poor voice acting and a rather vague story. (at least I thought it was vague back then)
Then about a year back, my sweetie Ms. Kitty really got me into R.EXE by beginning to talk and draw artwork of Laika. After RP'ing and talking some more, I got into it too. Then it sprung over onto Charlie, then onto Dingo. Began watching the Japanese episodes, playing Battle Network, read manga bits and yes... so began a rather elaborate fandom. |
D'awww, don't I feel honored. <3
In my case, an associate of mine over at DeviantART's feverish Laika fangirling got me interested "just what is so special about this guy"? So I told her I would take a peek into the series and see what R.EXE was about. What started as a "peek" turned into one of my biggest fandoms to date. <3 _________________

This might get people annoy at me XD
Okay long time ago when Megaman 2 came out (Which surprisingly I remember that far back) My mom have bought the game for me to try something new.
Course back then we didn't know anything about MM2 being hard as heck. That and we couldn't beat any stages at all.
So thats when I started hating the megaman series. Till couple years later my friends (This time around when X2 came out).
Told me about this cool game that they emphasise the word. That he was having trouble beating this one boss on it. Which was the Gear crocadile looking boss.
So I agree to help him out to figure out how to win. Course little did I know after beating the boss. When I looked at the title, I was dumb founded knowing it was a "Megaman game" But was surprise how I beaten the boss with just a Buster. Thats when I started watching the TV series.
So Kudos to my friends for bringing me back into the Megaman series XD.
Or I should say tricking me back into the series. So the X series is what brought me back into Megaman.
Edit: BN 1 was the first game that got me into the R.EXE series.

My first Rockman game I played was the original rockman and at that time i didn't really think much of it except that it was a normal GBA game.
After that i got Rockman Exe 1, 2 and 3 on the comp along with a mix of other games. I liked the game but I wasn't crazy bout it yet.
Then my father got me rockman exe 5 on nintendo DS and I started to like rockman. So I went online and watched some eps then went on to buy the mangas XD.
So now I've turned into a crazy fangirl =P _________________ Your voice seems to freeze reaching me...

Exact way for me to. I bought the game just to see how much i would hate it, turns out, it was one of the best games i'd ever played, which got me hooked on the show, which got me reading the manga. The EXE series was an awesome ride, pity that ryuusei killed it off. _________________

MMBN3 Blue got me hooked. I remember going into the game shop I usually go to looking for a new game. Saw MMBN3 on sale for $15 so I was like what the hell I'll give it a try. Those were the days, kicking ass in netbattles with my friends (For some reason a lot of people in my junior high liked MMBN games but don't watch the show O-o). Got every single version after that and watched a lot of the anime. |

Well, ever since I was 8, I have been a fan of Rockman, being the sixth game of the original series, I remeber the first boss I defeated was knightman, ooh good times
When it comes to the EXE series, it all started with the first game, I was very hoked with it, and when I found out there was an anime about this game, I couldnt be anymore excited, so I did what I could to watch them.
Since then I have been following the games and the series, it may have ended but still its awesome _________________

Hmmm this is a tough question, ever since I saw/played rockman.EXE I have liked it (yeah this is back when I was really young and was to naive to know how bad the dubs really were) and I have liked rockman ever since, but what got me most interested in the series in general was ZX I don't know why it just drew me, and then my fondness of it has just grown from there.
and I still play my copy of mega man x quite frequently.
Edit: oh and the video game BGM had a very large effect on it too. |

My brother kinda help introduce me to Megaman when I was very young. It was the first year we was in our new home after we moved out of Ft. Knox, KY. My family got a membership at a local video store that you could rent NES games from (keep in mind im 6 years old), and my brother rented two games.....Robocop & Megaman.
Sure enough, My brother let me play one day, and my first interaction was trying to complete Bombman's stage, and yes I was getting worked. Not only Megaman was hard for it's time, as a 6 year old, yeah it was tough to grasp. However, over time and practice I grew and was able to master.
After that I was hooked. I remember him bringing home future volumes of the games and I would play. Heck even have found Memories of playing Bubbleman and Metalman's stages right before going to school one morning.
I got so hook and the games came out so close to my birthday that I would ask for the next installment each year as a birthday gift. So yeah, I been a Megaman fan for a long time, and my collection has been built from my childhood.
I still hold true to this day, I spaz on things to get if it's Megaman. Even though I love other gaming series. Megaman holds the #1 spot on my fandom.
Just wish living at my apartment I had a shelf or something to put back up my entire collection to display *sigh* _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Soon after, in my local gamestore and I came across mmbn1. It took me around a week to beat it and sense i loved it so much, I called that gamestore back only too find out there was a megaman battle network 2...... |

I was 13. Summer. 2006. In other words, the period it all ended in Japan, though it has nothing to do with it. I had my Mega Man III, (named Rockman World III, not official version), and played it thourought the years before that. Then that summer, while vacationing in my country Algeria, I took to watching the Arab channels (I'm Arab) that they usually watch there. My cousin, who is 2 years older than me, used to follow that series, Mega Man NT Warrior, on 2 channels, and I noticed the characters were similar to my game. One had the first season, EXE, airing, I started watching the episodes from when Roll faces WhackoMan. The other channel was airing Axess, I remeber starting to watch from the point where Dr. Regal showed up, my first Mega Man episode ever, and even then Regal looked suspicious to me. I also saw an episode where VideoMan was deleted. Anyways, on a certain episode, I noticed ShadeMan fiddling with devices and planning a certain plan at the end of an episode. That guy seemed "interesting" to me. Later on, on my next episode was 27 where I saw him take quite a beating, after that episode, I became mad about the series. As soon as I went back to my home in Dubai, I continued watching the series at first, and I remember at some point later on, they even aired the classical Mega Man. But my interest remained with EXE. One day, I decided to search Wikipedia for the series, and that was how I discovered Battle Network. And that was only the beginning... |

I rember as a kid I did not like the orginal cartoon. Than in 2003 I saw a Megaman flash video on Newgrounds and wanted to know more about Megaman and than I bought Megaman Network Transmision for the gamecube. I suck at platformers but the game was great, but I never beat it. Later in summer 2007 I decided to give Megaman Battle Network 6 a try after getting hooked on the anime. But my fave Rockman series is Ryusei after playing Star Force I fell in love with Ryusei No Rockman. _________________ avatar- Gokudera from Katekyo Hitman Reborn |

Well I had never really heard of Megaman at the start. I didn't even really care. But one day, I saw the end of episode 18 of Megaman Axess on Kids WB. That sparked my interest a bit. Then the American Advanced PET came out and I instantly wanted one (I don't think I wanted one because it was Megaman I just thought it looked really neat). When I got it (the Protoman one) for my birthday things snowballed from there.
Not long after receiving the PET my dad got some stuff off the internet for me on Megaman. It's actually kind of funny. He got a lot of the stuff from this site! Not the forums, but from Rockman.EXE online. That actually really helped me understand Megaman some more. Well he also downloaded a "demo" of the Megaman NT Warrior manga. So I bought the first manga book. Then the world of Megaman was unlocked. This site helped me understand what Megaman was about. Then the Manga showed me all the different characters.
After getting a few more manga books I found out about the Megaman Trading Card Game from Decipher. It wasn't long before I had those cards in my hand and I had different navis battling each other. Well after I moved to Virgina I found the entire English Megaman Axess season on YouTube. Getting to see episode 18 again was a trip down memory lane. Now I just started playing the Battle Network series.
Currently I own hundreds of Megaman TCG cards, the American PET and the Progress PET (Japanese of course), I have a total of 50 Battlechips, I own manga numbers 1-5 and 12-13, the Megaman board game, and Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Colonel. |

Always been a Megaman fan ever since I found out that a playstation wasn't a weebles space station in 2nd grade. XD My bro got BN1, I played it and was hooked, discovered the anime on some long-gone site (eps 3 and 4 in rm format) and became a Rockman fan. (megaman = pleh) I searched and searched to be able to play that finicky format after finally downloading them over dial-up, and was ecstatic. From then I collected random LQ episodes over the years, but couldn't find many. The dub came over, but I wasn't satisfied. Lo and behold, April 08, we get DSL, and I bittorrent the crap out of every EXE seeder alive. XD
I've seen most of them now, minus a few un-subbed Axess and one or two Streams that didn't convert to my ipod. Also need to watch Beast all the way through again.
I love me some EXE. :3 |

When I was like 8 years old, my sister had the 2nd volume of the manga on her bookshelf and I already knew about Megaman from the really old games so I asked if I could read it. After that I became really interested in the characters after that and found this site and checked it every day. I also watched the anime whenever it was on on Kids WB. :P
Actually, before that, my brother had the 2nd game and I played it a little. |

At school, "not-real" GB-mania started, I've installed it and one of my classmates gave me a CD of games and among all there was MMBN1;
Lately, in Italy started streaming MMNTW on Jetix.
Almost one year later, I found a floppy with the demo of MMX1.
however, I just like BN and Z... _________________ Sardinia is not Italy!

hm...how did i get into this series? It's hard to say. It may have been the games or the anime when it was dubbed during my grade school years, which I do not even want to remember.
But I think it was my friend who got me into the series in general in the first place. Now that I think about it, it might have been the game, Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue (I'm a Blue boy =3), that started everything for me. Anyway, it was then i started getting into the games, and that was when the Anime came out. I absolutely adored it, despite corny dialogue and stuff. Because MMBN3Blue was my first MMBN game, it became my favorite.
Since the cartoons in preschool, which I'd always miss by the time I come home from school (I'd only watch it if school is out or if I was sick), I was such a heavy Megaman fan. My first Megaman game was Mega Man 2 for the classic Game Boy and Mega Man X for the SNES.
Oh wait, I'm getting off topic (Oh ho ho ho!). The reason I'm more into Rockman.EXE/Mega Man Battle Network series is because creativity is more lively here than the classics. You use the classics as the stepping stool for creativity of this series, and imagination takes its course. |
