Ah, Toonami...how many Otakons did we oversleep because we stayed up until 4 AM watching cartoons? At least, I think that was Toonami...I just remember Chuck Norris...

So much Chuck Norris.... D:

One, what's an Otakon, and two, who said I went to bed at 4? It's 6 am or noon and later. Cool

I think Izumi was referring to multiple Otakon, which is an Anime/Manga/Video Game convention that goes on in Baltimore,Maryland every year.A bundle of people from this site(Including the lovely Ryouko) head down there for the mass OtaRockman meetup.

From what I've heard, they have a ton of fun.

Toonami's departure will be greatly missed, even though I never watched anything on it,I share your grief.

(i'm tired of this grammar crap. i'll still do spelling though. >>)

Well at least we still have Adult Swim. But damn, Toonami brought back memories. I liked it when Tom was still in space on the Absolution. Anyone listen to the Toonami soundtracks? The second one wasn't released, but you can find it if you search for it. Wink

Actually, Adult Swim can be quite a problem sometimes. Have you seen the schedule?

Er...it wasn't obvious that "we" was referring referring to a specific group of people at a certain time?

In this case, I meant to say that myself and the other REO admins, when we got together for various Otakons over the years (and other things too) ended up staying up late watching cartoons, and were late for whatever we had planned the next day. :)

To add to all of this, toonami will be sorely missed.
It introduced us all to Samuari Jack, Justice League, Teen Titans, Gundam, DBZ, Johnny Bravo, and Zoids; just to name a couple of the awesome shows it captured our hearts with.
First, Fox Kids fell back around 2003 to 4Kids.
Kids WB fell around 2 years ago to 4kids, and other odd shows.
Now, the legendary Toonami has come to the end.
These things right here are why i watched TV as a child.

All the classics are gone. Sad The more I think about this, the more depressing it is. *sigh*

i go to school. but i went to sleep on school days at 2:00 every day or sumtimes later. i'm still getting back into the habit right now so i go to bed (or rather floor >>) at about 1:45 now. and i dont remember Johnny Bravo on Toonami. the main shows i remember from Toonami's 1st host was Thunder Cats & Sailor Moon. which is weird cuz i hate em both lol. i probly just remember Sailor Moon cuz of the abridged series tho. btw was Toonami replaced with an actual anime sub-station or just anime at the end of cn?

"Save me from the rangers!!!"

Toonami still airs here, and all they've played in their timeslot here are Power Rangers. I just found out recently that, yeah, it's dead. But they didn't say anything here if those Power Rangers series were anything we should have been suspicious of.

And i get my my fill on another local anime channel (two actually one english, one in our language).

I'm gonna miss, beyblade, crushgear and yu-gi-oh with localized openings and endings.

I'm sorry, but please don't post in threads this old without something that contributes to it.

You know, I'm starting to think that we should stop caring about dead topic revivals since the community is so slow. Razz You wanna scare off the people who are still here? Let people bring stuff back up until things get going again and we have reason to post new topics.

It's either you revive a topic and get told not to, or start a new one and get told your topic already exists. Razz

It was to my understanding that if someone adds something substantial/meaningful to a dead thread, it would be overlooked. Obviously, this only goes for recent-ish threads, but whatever.
