Excuse me, if anyone could tell me, has the ZX series been canceled? I heard from a friend of mine that it didn't sell well enough to merit another sequel. I was kinda looking forward to what they did with the guardians so any confermation would be nice.

Your friend is right. ZX Series was cancelled because of poor sales.

There's no official word on the subject. The third game was never even so much as leaked, let alone officially anounced, so it probably never existed as a project to begin with.

For the time being, consider the series to be hanging in Limbo.

You mean like Legends? It's be a shame if it never got a third one. Either of them. I liked ZX(A). I did.

Didn't someone mention that Capcom would limit the production of Rockman games to one for each year? Perhaps, that can explain something.

That would be odd. Megaman 2009. Like a Sports game or something?

Exactly. Oddly enough, Capcom always seems to start a really interesting and ambitious new series and then leaves it hanging indefinitely. Some like Okami I can semi-understand due to lackluster sales (what was up with that, anyway?), but weren't Legends and ZX really popular? Hell, ZX (with some tweaks and improvements to the game mechanics and characters) was on its way to being one of the best platformers around, and we all know how much fun Legends was.

Maybe once they get done with their current projects we'll see something about a ZX or Legends 3. One can hope, anyway. :/

Yeah. And they always say they want to do another Legends game. Hopefully they can do that then do a ZX3. Possibly to finish the series.
(Then Capcom can get whoever worked on Viewtiful Joe and make one more game to finish that off.)

I think I remember hearing that many in Japan found the first ZX to be nearly impossible in terms of difficulty (Really?), and thus many didn't bother with ZXA. I have no way of verifying that, but it's what I heard.

Capcom essentially said that they would work on a sequel to ZXA if it sold at least 100000 units before a certain date. Well, it did sell over that amount, but just missed the deadline, so I guess they gave up. Which is a shame. I really liked the ZX Series, and it looked like they were easing their way into Legends.

Yes I really enjoyed the ZX series, and I would really like to see a third, especially since the secret ending to ZXA was such a cliffhanger.
I would really like to see that resolved, and maybe some more playtime as model X.

Really? They thought it was hard? It was about as hard as Zero. I didn't play Zero but I know it was hard. It does take too much to beat ZX(A). Just have to match the bosses like you always have.

Wait, what? Did the Japanese version of ZX not have an Easy mode? Did we have a reverse-DMC3 sort of thing going on?

Again, I must stress that I cannot back this up at all as this was word-of-mouth from over a year ago. I do remember someone commenting that the modes were renamed for the English version of ZXA though. Normal, Hard, Very Hard became Easy, Normal, and Expert, which were more reflective of the actual difficulty levels. I think that was it. It has been a while.

Personally, I found ZX to be about as hard as Zero 4, which was one of the easier games from the Zero Series. The lava chase in Flammole's stage still gives me nightmares however.

So yeah, either what I heard was false (which is admittedly likely), Japan has drastically changed its skill set in the past few years, or something else entirely, but either way the fact stands that the ZX Series didn't quite perform up to expectations. Which again, is a real shame. Or maybe Inti is just holding out on us after having worked on Megaman 9 and all. Again, it would be quite a shame if ZXA was it.

I find ZX and ZXA quite ok in Easy mode but difficult in the other two levels.
I haven't beat the normal mode yet in ZX (because i keep on accidently deleting or overwriting my "Normal" file which means I have to start from the beginning.)

Now I lost my game though. I download my games but for some reason some games went missing.

BN5 double team was also one of them that gone missing and I freaked out lol.
But I put it back in with the backup file.

sorry if this is a bit off-topic.

Normal mode is Fair in difficulty, Just the damages you recieve comes a little stronger. Expert though..Beating the entire game with NO Helath up and Sub tanks (So far I barely pass the 3rd Maverick boss on Expert).

To make things worse, The enemy will deal double the damage on you even the small enemies. I'm not sure if your attack power gets weaker..But seems to be the same amount.

Also the Boss's are alot faster and attack patterns are random.

I dunno, I seem to find the battle pattern the same, only faster, more damaging, and they have a few extra attacks.

After all, this is a game and the AI should normally be programmed to repeat their battle patterns, right?

True but sometimes they do mix it up a bit to throw you off sometimes. Always finding myself with 0 lives and 3 bars of life left when they do this.

Its just the stages are the killer though not the boss's.

The hardest parts about the bosses for me was to not hit the important parts. The mole from ZX gave me the longest time to bet him.

I'd say the lion was hard to beat. It's hard not to hit his head at any given point.

Yeah. But I still had a harder time not hitting the moles head with a full Model H charge. When he pops up that's what you hit him.
