I've got a question regarding artbooks.

A friend of mine found an artbook on Ebay called the Rockman.EXE Anthology Art Guide Book. Before I go and purchase it, I am wondering if it is not the same as Rockman.EXE no Himitsu except with a different title.

Here's what it looks like: http://cgi.ebay.nl/MEGAMAN-ROCKMAN-EXE-ANTHOLOGY-ART-GUIDE-BOOK_W0QQitemZ250290406871QQihZ015QQcategoryZ1345QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

Any ideas?

No actually it's a different book. The book in question here has the official artwork for each of the characters as well as a bio about them. All in Japanese of course. The Secrets book, Rockman.EXE no Himitsu has concept artwork instead of official artwork. It also has some design notes about many of the characters and goes into more things, such as virus, Battlechip and set designs as well.

I'd like to get both, but the Himitsu seems to be a bit more intriguing because the concept art is a bit more soft and less cartoonishly-bulbous than the official box and guide arts. :D

Oh, it's Mr. book-sale, huh? He can be a little pricey both for the items and with shipping, but I've bought from him enough to get things I can't get elsewhere. And it looks like that's a pretty good price for it, if it's only $10 US. It's cheaper than Play-Asia at the moment.

There are three EXE artbooks in total, Himitsu, Subete, and the Character Picture Guide. I'm still failing at completing what I want to with providing info, but if you need to know the names/covers of the artbooks, or other Rockman books in general, check here: http://rockmanpm.wikispaces.com/Rockman+Books

I wrote this before I bought Himitsu, but here's a copy/pasted reply from me elsewhere, with samples:

Quote:
Despite having more pages, Subete essentially has the official art for each game showcasing both the Navi and their NetOp. Anything you can find in good quality at TMMN is what you'll see in that. If I could read Japanese, I believe there is some info on the NetOps such as age and other little tidbits that were unique to it. Besides the 6 normal games, it also has one page each devoted to 4.5+Phantom of Network (shared), Transmission and BCC.

It has 3 sections. The first is general info on the series. It explains locations, the role of key characters, what a PET is, what battlechips, Navi Cust, etc. are. It then moves on to style changes/souls/crosses crammed onto about 6 pages. I don't think FCR is in here, that I notice.
Sample page:

Section two is Story and Character Guide. This is the official art part. Goes in order by game.
Sample page:

Section 3 is Secret Factor. This explains things like the Undernet, Graveyard, Boktai, etc.

The Character Picture book has those exact same official pieces in Subete, but the NetOps are tiny, cut-off busts. But this one has art for every single virus, which Subete doesn't. And as it's called the picture book, there is really little to no info in it.

This one is 5 sections, technically. First is Rockman and DS Rock. 2 pages. Second one is every style change/etc, including FCR and the Gun Del Sol form.
Sample page:

Third section is the Navi section, with those small NetOp crops. Very little info about them and it looks like a quote from the NetOp. Forte is in this section.
Sample page:

Fourth section is viruses.
Sample page:

Final section is final bosses, each one gets their own little page. This book is also smaller in actual size compared to Subete.

...I really want those books, but here (my place) it's rare to see anything Exe related.
My father promised me Exe anime episodes for my good grades in my major exam last year, that exam every 15 year old takes in my country.
