I got chocolates from my mom. A bag of those Lindor Truffles, those chocolate spheres of goodness~ :D

So, yeah, besides that, it's just another normal Saturday. Smile

My mom and I spent the evening together, which was nice. :) I took home a $5 bouquet of flowers from Wal-Mart to put on my kitchen table in my apartment. <3

I just ordered pizza and watched pokemon all day. I thought it was a wonderfully spent day despite the fact I have no one to share it with.

I spent the day with my family, painting my sister's new apartment. Was fine until we got hungry and went looking for dinner...and realized that all the restaurants would be packed because of what day it was. XD

I went for a annual cross-country run ( I think that's what it's called) held by my school for it's students.

I got a card and a lollipop from two of my friends tho.
They had planned to exchange gifts with one another but I never expected them to give me presents too.

One of my friends wrote in the card she gave the other friend:
"I'll fill in as your Valentine for now, until you're old enough to get a boyfriend."

I looped Valentine's Day by Marylin Manson over and over. It was oddly fitting.

Beyond that, I went on a small shopping spree and then put together a survival kit for when I head to my grandparents' place later today.
Antihistamine pills - check.
Expectorant pills - check.
Decongestant pills - check.
Unscented tissues - check.
Febreze - check.
Bentos to last me for two days, two meals per day - check.
Rinse-free shampoo - working on getting it.

Beyond that, my life is in a ditch right now. A dry and sunny ditch that's not very deep, surrounded by a field of pretty wildflowers, but a ditch nevertheless. I don't know why, but holidays always suck for me, without exception.

I got some cookies from my students on Friday, then on V-Day I sat around eating them, made a surprise guest appearance on my favourite online radio station, and talked and sang over Skype well into the night. Then I watched a lot of Kyou Kara Maou. :D

I worked, came home and uploaded the art for my contest for the judges, played some Chrono Trigger DS, watched some Adult Swim. Always an exciting day for me. Laughing

Somehow, Valentine's Day just isn't the same when it's on a weekend. I find it's more fun on a weekday.

Nah, I know. Love has different forms, and the holiday shouldn't be all about the *bow chika wa waaaaaaa~* that first comes to our heads thanks to society.

It would be one thing if it sounded like everyone was actually celebrating something. But still, the acronym for Singles Awareness Day is SAD, which is what hearing similar tales of my own singleness on the day of wuv makes me. Crying or Very sad

No emo-fests! My rule for valentines day: If you don't have a date (which I haven't yet) then hug your grandma and/or say hello, depending on whether you live close to them.

I just talk to her on skype.
