You're right! I was watching through the episodes the other day on my ipod, trying to remember every single tune they had in there. I knew the soundtrack had 34 tracks, and figured they probably had them all on there. Instead, we get three "Soar Past the Wind" variations and the ending theme.
The one theme from the other seasons that I would really like is the one they used for Barrel. They used it in other cases too, but it was mostly his theme.
I can still remember what it was like when EXE first came out... The Big Red promo, the Paypal donate buttons... Ah, nostalgia. |

A couple of tracks from the original EXE never saw a soundtrack release, but I'm starting to question if they originated in the anime.
There's one that plays at around the 18 minute mark of episode 48, the 21 minute mark of episode 50, and then one more time at the 16 minute mark of episode 51.
However, this exact song played on a sketch on Robot Chicken of all places. Season 2, Episode 7 (27 in the whole series) during a sketch called Space Checkers. Now while I watched the episode tonight, it seems they replaced the song but I have an audio recording of where they played the original song. I'm sure there's probably a video of it as well.
Then there's another song that occurs in Episode 51 at around the 17 minute mark. Oddly enough, there was a preview of a dubbed Sonic X episode by 4Kids that used this song (I think it was episode 37). Again, I have an audio recording of this too but no clue where a video recording would be.
It's just these two songs that I'm questioning since I heard them in other shows. I might be looking too deeply into this, but I think it might be worth checking out if the songs originated elsewhere. |

Hmm... I'll have to dig up the episodes and listen... it could be that the tunes are just similar. Beast's opening sounds like an American tune which I can't seem to remember at the moment. XD |

I know which songs you're talking about. I think they're sort of free-range (don't know what the term would be... ^^; ) tracks, and anyone can use them. A few years back, the song when Rockman's fighting Gospel was in a football documentary--there used to be a clip on the site, not sure if it's still there. The new tracks sound totally different from the EXE composer's music--they're kind of jarring at first, IMO... I don't think there were that many new tracks from the composer in Area Two to begin with (the Gospel theme, Install Your Heart, Style Change, Jawaii, and I think that was about it. Maybe something for Internet City). Maybe he quit midway through the area? It would explain why there was never a Sound Navigation 02, if there just wasn't enough music to warrant a CD... |

That makes me sad. I still have yet to go listen to them. |
