The title is kind of self-explanatory but yeah, do you guys want to hold a game tournament again this year? I'm open to whatever game, so long as it has "Mega Man" in the title.

So list what you would be interested in playing, if anything. Also, if you have any suggestions on how the tourney should be held post that as well.

If there's enough interest, I'll make a new post/modify this one so we can vote on which game.

Then comes the fun of deciding prizes.

I think we should totally have a NT Warrior card game tournament. :D

lol. We do that and I swear I'll make a suit of armor out of my leftover cards and wear it to the tourney.

Side note: Remember that cross-series battle system Decipher wanted to do? Well, apparently somebody finally did it--though it's just other Capcom series, no MM as of yet.

Well, the logical progression would be Star Force 2, though there's some balance issues with the Wave Command Cards. We'll have to either tell everyone the codes so everyone can use them, or forbid the Tribe King code and the cards that give Rockman stat boosts.

Also, what about a tournament for an EXE game? (Or if we have the time and energy, tournaments for multiple EXE games.) The only gamebreakers I can think of there to forbid are Gater for EXE2, Folder Return in EXE3, and pausing during a Chaos Soul Unison in EXE5.

Wondered the same thing about SF 2. I remember EXE 3 was a popular suggestion last year and that certainly has fewer complications.

SF2 would be a lot of fun, but I may be biased as that's the game I actually have :3;;;;;;

I'm not able to get into the StarForce games. It was a chore to get all the extra stuff in the first one. I haven't even bothered in SF2. They're just not as good as the EXE games. Not to mention SF2 seems really unbalanced for player on player battles.

I'll probably participate in anything, though.

The Starforce games are good, but my only gripe is no way to display the games happening on a big screen for the people spectating to see.

If anything I either recommend a retro EXE tournament with one of the previous games, or a speed run tournament on how fast someone can beat a stage from the older NES games, or one of the two-player Megaman games to go against like Battle & Chase, Power Fighters, or even Onimusha Blade Warriors (PS2), where fighters either have to be one of the Megaman.EXE variants or Zero variants (Zero series)

Be a nice twist I think.

Aw, dang Sai...that makes me sad. :<

So an EXE game sounds like it might be the way to go for a main tournament. If we did do a side tournament, what would we do (I like Hecxz's B&C suggestion) and when would we do it?

Uh... that's not Sai.

As for the side tournament, I'll throw in a couple more ideas:
Battle Chip Challenge tournament
SP/V3 Navi busting time competition
Trivia contest

It's not? Dang it. Sorry. XD

The trivia contest would be fun and completely different. The timed competition would be nice for people who don't have a lot of other people to practice with.

I do like Poochy's idea for a trivia contest, that would be fun :D But I'm sure too many people would want to enter... maybe if people entered in teams of 5 or so more people could participate?

I like this idea, too. Or someone could pop in the Anniversary Collection and we could have a Power Battles tourney like he suggests later in the post.

...maybe we should just have a bunch of tournaments :D But people would still wanna go to the actual CON, too, so maybe not XD
