LOL Toonami died soooo long ago. Not a good indication of the traffic on this board.

But on a more related note: Who here misses the awesomeness that was the 2000-2001 era of Toonami? It was when they had the first Absolution, the presentation of all the shows were slick, and there was an amazing Drum 'n Bass score for the intros and outros. The anime roster at that point was also the best and most ambitious Toonami has ever been. Tenchi Muyo and Blue Sub were gutsy moves that really turned things around for Anime and American TV. Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing were also incredible choices.

Sadly, I think times have moved on from Block shows like Toonami. Adult Swim has moved in where Toonami left off (not with all good reason, mind you), and primetime CN has reverted to more kiddy fare, despite the anime here and there.

Old School Toonami will be very much missed.

Meanwhile, there's just Canadian imported shows on Sat. now. I don't not like the shows but it's just that they're on Sat night. That used to be a good night.

ALL, and I mean ALL, cartoon channels go downhill. There was a time when I liked Nickelodeon. There was a time when the Disney Channel had some pretty nice cartoons. There was a time when Kid's WB didn't suck. It's just a trend to start getting worse, I guess.

Yup, except now instead of being called Kid's WB, it's called 4Kids TV... XP Stupidest name ever, IMHO. They have the lamest cartoons on there that are completely unoriginal now; same with a lot of other TV shows on other cartoon channels. The only cartoons I find myself watching now are SpongeBob and Fairly Odd Parents. Even Cartoon network is starting to go REALLY down... And that used to be my favorite station.

It's times like these where I wish I was able to get Boomerang, with all the cool old cartoons playing all the time. ;-;

My god, Toonami for the US ended last year? It went off air in the UK years ago. I remember getting into anime after watching stuff on there and on Fox Kids. Too bad the only thing we mainly get now here is Naruto (which is painful to watch, and I'm on the whole a Shounen fan.)

Some say it's because of people getting dumber. Or maybe parents getting worse at times. I have a great idea for a block of all Shounen Jump anime. It would work and probably bring more money.
