Ok, so I check ebay every so often to see if anyone is selling RockMan plushies, and every so often I find a seller (The last time I found one was in February, or somethin', so it's been a pretty long time...). Well, I finally found a seller who's selling both the RockMan plush and the Roll plush together in one auction.

But, there's something wrong with Roll... She's missing her chest emblem. I know there are a few members out there who own this plush, so I was wondering if this kind of thing is normal? All the other pictures I've seen of her have her chest emblem... I even contacted the seller about it, but she said that was the way she bought it a few years ago from another website...

I'm thinking it's a knock-off, and I don't want to end up buying a fake, so I'd really appreciate some opinions on this.

And here's a picture of it to show what I mean: Link

My Roll has the emblem on her chest. Sounds like a knock-off to me, but if she looks good, I wouldn't have a problem with it. The plushies are really rare by now.

Aw tarter sauce... Well, I'll have to think about it I guess. I'd prefer her to have the emblem, but, then again, the plush may never come up again for a very long time.

Thanks for the info. =)

If they're knockoffs, they're pretty good knockoffs. o_o I'd say go for them!

Well, I guess it's not so much as it being a knockoff, since, if it is, it looks pretty darn good, it's the fact that it it could be damaged; that emblem is a big part of the doll. D; It just wouldn't be complete without it, IMHO.

But, if I really wanted to, I could just make my own out of hard fabric, or another material... But why go through all that trouble when I could just wait a few more months to see if another one in better condition pops up? >.<

I dunno, I just asked the seller to see if she could show my some photos of the backs of the dolls. Maybe that will change my mind...

And, if you couldn't tell already, I'm very picky with what I buy. xD That's 10 years of Beanie Baby collecting for ya, I guess. lol

I'm leaning towards just merely damaged and not fakes. I have the Roll and the battle mask Rock (not the normal one shown here) and in terms of overall look, I can't tell any difference. Everything matches up in terms of size and proportion with the head, hands and feet. The fabric looks the same. She's just missing that emblem and they both had the original Banpresto tag ripped off.

As long as you can get over the fact that she doesn't have her icon on her chest, I'd say go for it. They are hard to find nowadays. If I could find that original Rock by itself I would have grabbed it by now! LOL And anyhow, if you see another Roll pop up in the future, you could always sell this one and keep the good one.

Yeah, I compared them to my plushies too, and nothing else seems to be off. Rock Miyabi's idea is a good one, if another Roll pops up, just switch them out. :)

I don't know why I didn't think of that before, but that sounds like the simplest solution to me. xD Thanks. =)

The seller just posted up a picture of the backs of the dolls, and they seem pretty ok to me ( Link ), so I don't think any other problems with them should pop-up...

Heh, I'll be sure to you guys know if I end up winning or not. =)

Looks like Roll still has her tag on her, so whenever you get them in (if you buy them) feel free to send me a PM with what it says on it, and I can compare with mine. :)

Saito- Yeah I know. XP But, I'm pretty good when it comes to auctions, so hopefully I don't have too much trouble with it. Surprised

Ryouko- Will do. =) Thank you.

Yay I won. XD The auction just ended a few seconds ago. I won when there was about 13 seconds left, and this other bidder was trying to outbid me. >.< Not sure how much they usually go for, but including shipping, it's almost $32, so that's about $16 per plushie, including shipping.

Kind of expensive, but I'm claiming this as my graduation present to myself. xD

That's not bad at all. I paid close to $100 for my giant Rock.EXE plush. :P

Wow, $100 is sure a lot, but that's probably a good deal, today, since that plush is so rare right now. =0

Edit: And I thought I might as well point this out since it's sort of on-topic. A GutsMan plushie just popped up on ebay, so if anyone is out there who's looking for him, you might want to check it out ( Link ).

I find it kind of strange that the plushies are starting to come up all of a sudden on ebay like this one after another; guess people are starting to release that there are people who are willing to buy them, I guess. Or just a coincidence.

$16 is about average for plushies. Considering that those are old plushies, it's pretty much a steal d:

Yay, they came in today! XD I was surprised; I thought they wouldn't come in until next week...

Anyway, they are in pretty good condition, but you can definitely tell they're used, but they're still in really good condition. Roll's prong holders (The round bits with the arrows) along the sewn part are bit dirty, but that might just be because of the cardboard inside that keeps it flat. I'm going to see if I can get some Mr. Clean on it and see if it comes off, unless it's just worn out fabric, which I can't do anything about. xD. I was surprised that her hair was super clean; usually that kind of fuzzy fabric gets dirty easily.

RockMan came in in pretty poor condition, but it's livable; nothing too drastic's wrong with him. His head cord/ribbon is missing, unlike Roll's, so I'll be replacing that myself (The holes are still there). He has a small tear in ear holder, but it's so small, I can easily fix that (I knew about it already, too. It was in the description), so that's no big deal.

My family owns a cleaners, so I'm going to ask my dad if he can clean them up as best as he can, as well. =)

Anyway, though, I am very happy with them. =) I'm glad I went through with it and bought them. X3 Thanks, everyone, foe that. =)

Ryouko- I'll be sending you that PM sometime soon, but from what I can tell, it seems pretty legit. Smile
