So sorry to everyone who reads my LJ & Facebook & talks to me on AIM -- this is probably old news to you :3;;;
Some of you may have heard of Anime Midstream, a very small anime dubbing company that recently opened up in my town. At a con last April, they held open auditions for their first title, Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh. It's a classic mecha anime from 1991 -- I've seen the first few episodes and I think it's excellent. 
They recently called me back and I went in for a more in-depth audition. While I can't say for sure whether or not I'll get to be one of the main characters yet, I've definitely got a role as one or two recurring extras :D
*squirbles* GUYS I'M GONNA BE A VOICE ACTOR OMGOMGOMGOMG
There's not more I can say right now, but I'll definitely update you guys on my status when I learn more :3

Wow, that's great news! When you find out/when you can tell us, be sure to let us know what character(s) you'll play as.
I've never heard of that anime before, but it sounds interesting. =)

From what I know, one of the directors saw it as a child and loved it. And from what I'm told it's very popular in Japan, and has a small cult following in the states.
Anyway, I'm kinda glad they did. I saw the first three episodes at a con, and I'm loving it so far. It's a very cute show ^___^

I'm actually planning on doing the BangZoom entertainment panel at Anime Expo this year to see if I could enter the buisness of voice acting; awesome that you've entered it : D! Hopefully you can give us some scans; mech animes are always fun xD

Oh awesome! Congrats! ^^ I'd love to be a voice actor and I did some fan stuff on YouTube. Though I wouldn't wanna be a Dutch voice actor since most dub works here nowadays are crap XD I'm curious to hear about the continuation of this ^^

| It's cool that you're a subbing group. I once thought of being a translation group but I doubt we'd have done a lot. Plus, I don't think we'd be very good at it. Good for you though. |
