The World Hobby Fair has yielded information on a brand new game for the EXE Series!
Titled "Rockman.exe Operator Shooting Star", the game appears to be a crossover of Rockman.exe and Ryuusei no Rockman.
More information will be revealed in the September issue of CoroCoro

I crapped my pants. I always wanted it but I never thought it would happen. WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Man, this and Galaxy 2 are two games I wanted but thought were preposterous.
I can't believe it's back. O_O

Gosh darn it, I though I was the first to post, totally miss this one. Sorry, just made a discussion for this one in the Game Center XD.
Still new EXE makes me less likely to break necks around here! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Well I wouldn't say that, they ain't bad, but they are too easy to run through, it's no wonder why there hasn't been a strategy guide released for them (except Prima's Star Force PDF, which they never printed into a book). Not enough challenge but still good, not as good as EXE though! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Crossover, eh? Not sure if want.
Hopefully it's more EXE than Starforce. _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

Huh. This is interesting. I wonder how this will work. Wasn't there a quick cameo of EXE in Star Force? |

I'm wondering if they'll do 3D like that canceled EXE5. I think it could be cool but I'm also just wanting classic gameplay.
I hope they focus on EXE. |

Yes there was in the first one, I think you needed a copy of one of the Battle Network's in your GBA slot of your DS and you had to do some real simple task and out of a portal, Rockman EXE comes out and hands you a X Buster or something like that to use. It was great seeing him pop out, but other then that, nah. _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

There was also a mini-cameo in the second where you collected some of Netto's old diary entries. Not near satisfying enough. And that alleged boss battle with Rockman.exe in SSR3 was bogus.
It still seems so weird that this was announced. O_o I really wish it had been just an EXE 7, because all bias toward RnR aside, it would be better if it were standalone. Oh well, as long as I get to stretch my aging EXE skills. |

This sounds interesting, but I am pretty skeptical about it. _________________ Name shortened from Serenade.exe |

Well, this is pretty random.
Me, I detest crossovers (thank you Comic Book Industry), but I'll keep a watchful eye on this.
I also thumb my nose at all of this Ryuusei hate. It's not supposed to be EXE, so people should stop expecting it to be. It takes elements from it and does different things with them, like how the X Series took stuff from the Classic series and changed stuff around. I myself find it one of the more creative entries in the Megaman franchise, and I appreciate how the characters actually have some development and don't stay static or get dumbed down like in EXE. Though the second game would have been better if half the plot hadn't been a giant scavenger hunt, though the third game is supposedly worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as BN2 and BN3. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Nobody's expecting it to be EXE. We're expecting it to be as good as EXE.
What I thumb my nose at is the proposition that RnR is any less cheesy and more sophisticated with more developed characters than EXE. Hokum. None of the characters really seem to have a specific personality in RnR. They all run together and one moment they're like this, one moment they're entirely different. But it doesn't reflect natural growth. And the "technology" is poorly explained and designed. Material waves and Denpa Henkan... just... meh. The whole universe is less credible and more bizarre. I don't mind when other people like it (I'm not a series hater. Yet.) but it just seemed really poorly done to me. It could have been done much better, and I was actually excited when I first learned about it replacing EXE. To me it was the opposite. EXE had good characters and designs and stories and RnR was extremely dumbed down and cheesified.
And the designs make my eyes bleed.
Anyway, enough about that. |

... I dance with one of my puppets when I read the news on the Megaman Network. Serious.
I am excited for this, I am very excited for this~ It might end up being really great, but then it might be horrible. But we don't know yet! Gotta wait for the word from CoroCoro. Although, it'd be very disappointing if it ends up just being a double-game DS card with just the first games from both series. :/
Anyways, I'm gonna go explode into an explosion of happy fangirlness. :D _________________ MegaMan Kilobit
