Much to everyone's surprise, Michael Jackson has passed away at the age of 50 due to cardiac arrest.

Despite his personal life devolving into what it did, Jackson was an absolutely huge figure in the music industry during the 80s, bringing us well-known classics like the famous Smooth Criminal and Thriller.

I can't exactly say that I am a huge music listener, but this was very surprising to me, and it's a real shame, since I doubt that there's going to be another entertainer to reach his level of popularity and influence anytime soon.

So yes, he was a tragic punchline after the 80s, but this is a real, real shame. RIP King of Pop.

While it's sad that the dude died, I'm not too torn up about it. He just got plain weird.

The worst part is I've had Thriller stuck in my head all day. >_<;;

The man did some great music in his time, loved to listen to it when I was little. Its a shame to see him pass away, one of the best dancers there was earlier on :3

Quite a surprise he passed away, many were wondering how he was going to make a comeback with his shows comming up

Though unfortunately for him, his fame is sort of comming back through his death

though I thing I have to say, even its for a good purpose and all, I find it a bit bothersome to have JUST Micheal Jackson music on the radios all day long

@ACME-Rian : is it even possible to play a solemn version of Thriller? That song has way too much energy.

My friend sent me a text with the info and I thought she was joking so I laughed it off. This was really messed up though, he was working on a comeback tour and a new album that was to be produced by Kanye ... maybe some songs were already made and will be released posthumously [like how Tupac always has a new record every other year].

First, How does he keep doing that? Second, on an organ of course. Didn't you see that scene with Green Day in the Simpson's movie.
