Aha, so now I know the deal with those viruses. I picked up Black Ace and intended to do a mini-review here but you fine people beat me to it, lol [and, also said it better than I would of actually].

One thing I will reiterate though : the card system takes some getting used to in battle. I almost felt like a n00b for the first 15/20 battles but then I S-ranked the first boss. Awesome.

EDIT : Forgot to mention ... in the instruction booklet, there's a message saying you can register your game to get more goodies for CAPCOM but when I did, there was only the option to register Starforce 2. Anyone else try this out?

The registering stuff is BS.

Capcom (very) slowly updates their website with extra's.
They released White Cards (which don't work, because they don't tell the pressing order)

Still waiting for the RogueZZ and Crimson Dragon Sigma parts to be updated.....
I already have the the 5 gold and two silver emblems.

Whoo, beat the game, and now I only need nine more cards before I can fight Sirius.

I don't really know how they're going to make another game, if they intend to, since the ending and the post-game content resolves a bunch of loose ends to the story. And after a guy who goes around sucking up entire solar systems with his personal black hole, it's kind of hard to top that without getting pretty ridiculous.

Anyway, I definitely think the story lived up to its advertising. My only problems with it were that a few things were left hanging, like what was Dealer using Mu technology for, and where did they get it, and Laplace wasn't explained at all. Did Solo create him? Was he one of those EM beings in the tanks that we saw in the second game? The poor guy can't even talk properly, and the one time he tries to, Rogue tells him to shut up.

So, do the V3 bosses have set areas that they wander, or is it completely at random? I'm leaning towards the former, since I encountered Queen Virgo V3 a few times in Noise Wave 4, and Rogue V3 twice in Noise Wave 6, but confirmation would be nice.

Beh, was not expecting Rogue Z. I almost lost to him. Luckily he was nowhere near as hard as Rogue SX was.

Outside sources state that Laplace was released when Mu was destroyed. He is the last being from Mu. He does not assist Solo in any way when he performs Denpa Henkan except in the form of the Sword.

They were using Mu technology in the large machine for Crimson...you see the machine right there when Burai stabs the machine with Laplace.

V3 show up in Warning Battles. They can, of course, happen anywhere. Certain ones show up only in certain areas.

So some of them are completely random...well, that's going to really be a pain.

Yeah, I saw the Mu emblem in the Crimson factory, but it didn't look like anything other than ''generic energy source''. I thought that they would've done a bit more with that, since Mu's technology was supposedly super-advanced and stuff. I guess it was just there to give Solo a reason to fight Dealer, since he's pretty apathetic towards everything that doesn't involve Mu. Oh well, it's no biggie.

I still can't believe they added a PA like system in the game which I give props for. Noise Transformation System I really got get used to but I'm not complaining too much. I guess you can say it is kinda like getting used to the style change system back in Battle Network 2 and 3. But so far I'm pleased with it.

Got the game finally.

First impressions are extremely positive, the whole thing feels a lot more intuitive than 1 and 2 and I'm really liking all the crazy extra stuff I'm reading about.

Have mixed thoughts about the plot so far, but the first scenario turned out a lot better than I was expecting.

Edit: Also I think this is the first time I've been seriously enjoying the music since around EXE 3 or 4.

I almost went to get it while I was out today... but decided not to. It looks kind of fun and I know it's a lot better than the first two and I like the RnR series well enough, but I decided I didn't want it enough to spend $30 on it. I'll probably get it later, but I'm not excited enough to get it at launch like I did with all the other EXE/RnR games.

Well, now that I've beaten Sirius, all I have left to do is gather up the thirteen or so Mega cards that I'm missing and I can fight Rogue ZZ. I'm not looking forward to going up against Sirius V3 though. His status guard and beam spamming is really not fun...

I agree. Although, the Alohaha music is kinda irritating.

Don't you mean RogueZ? RogueZZ info is not released yet, but will probably be downloadable content or a button combination.

No, he's still there, it's just the way to unlock him has been changed, apparently. You have to touch all of the stars on the title screen in a certain order and he should show up in the Cyber Core that Jack and Queen hijacked Meteor G from.

Damn those are some stats!

EDIT : Finally beat the game and I must say ... I am *very* pleased with the ending. ROFL @ the photo at the end, Meggers looks so uncomfortable.

And, I am very very happy that there's no danger music everywhere after you beat the game. Some of the BN games annoyed the hell out of me with that.

Just had a thought that I guess could also go in another thread on this board. Maybe the crossover game will kinda be like an intermission b/t this game and the next Ryuusei?

Looks like Capcom's giving us a special gift this week...

|This week on the Wii's Nintendo Channel is a special Star Force 3 event that last until this Friday, the 17th. (Go to "Find Titles" at the top of the screen and select the DS Download option and it should be the first on the list).

They're giving away a special download that gives you Acid Arrest, an exclusive Mega Card you can't get through normal means. And did I mention the download is free (You can only download it once per file, by the way).

So hurry up people, you only have till Friday to get it!

Similar to the Acid Arrest, I think there's another card coming through the N channel. One involving the final boss.
