Well that's kind of like saying if they brought 5 to the US they should have brought 4.5. OSS isn't main storyline, it's repackaged and spiffied-up old stuff. So OSS could do well in Japan and then they make 7, which gets brought to the US.
I have no reason to believe OSS won't come here though. |

Good point.
But that gives reason to hope that oss does good enogh for capcom to revive exe. At least then there will be a chance of a exe 7.
From what I know, exe was (one of) their most sucessfull rockman series.
But getting our hopes up to high can dissapoint us if this does not happen. |

You make a good point, but actually, I see OSS as a type of squeal to RnR3, since Crimson Dragon is in it, the final boss in RnR3, therefore, making it part of the storyline. 4.5 was basically a side story, in a way, since it didn't contribute in anyway to the main storyline; it seems that OSS, though, will, especially since it's about time travel. :3 _________________ My art blog: http://annamariacoppi.blogspot.com/

No, I don't think so. It's still the same story, and most of the content is from EXE1. If it were a sequel to SSR3 then it would be an SSR game and SSR Rockman would be the main focus. The final boss from SSR3 being in it doesn't mean anything, really. O_o Perhaps if he has a bigger role than we're seeing now it would mean something, but all of the other evidence suggests this is a minor rerelease meant to gauge interest in an EXE revival.
It may come over, but I don't think you'd consider it part of the so-far 1-6 main entries. :D |

good point. and if you think about it, they took the games through beast. i know that it is tiny, but there were some (sort of) not so tiny things that happened in beast+. so i agree with 6 being the not real ending.
i hope we see more of patch too. they should put him in a future game and give him a purpose of being in the game. not just being some random character to talk to. _________________ " ♥ ♪ you think you know his battle chips, ♪

Seeing how the game is released, shouldn't a help thread be created for the parts that weren't in the exe 1 game on the GBA? |

That's...not really up to you....just use this thread.
Honestly, this game is pathetic. There's not enough new content for me to even want it.
There are no remixes except for the title music, and far too many things are re-used (a select few got new mugshots).
I was expecting more than one new character. The only new one is Clockman, and even then, he's not even a big part of the game.
This game is a lazy attempt for Capcom to make some money. If more EXE games come out of this, I hope they're better than this. _________________

Whether they make a help thread or not.
Can't say I'm excited for this either. EXE1 was one of my least favorite games in the series, and it doesn't sound to me like they did nearly enough to make it worth playing again.
Might youtube Clockman's stuff but that's about it. |

Good grief, I made an observation that not many people can play the game yet. Seems like there's a lot of quick assuming and sarcasm here. |

Well, Capcom made a cool Anti-Piracy after all.
EVERY step starts a battle against a single mettool XD
Even though people have already created a patch to counter it |

I'm sorta happy there's a new game, but it doesn't feel right calling it "new", since it's rehashed old with a sprinkle of new stuff. They did at least add voices for attacks and such. That's /something/.
I'll likely buy it when it's released in America (if it ever is, that is) for the mere fact that I don't own EXE 1. _________________ [Message Temporarily Off-Line] |

Yeah, the Crossover is almost as short as EXE4's Boktai Crossover
- Voices during battle.
- Star Force scenario is after Elecman scenario.
- SS Rockman chip and 2 PA's for which contain SS Rockman and Burai.
- Being able to play as SS Rockman in battle.
- SS Rockman has lock on ability.
- Elemental Armors seem to be removed (probably in echange for SS Rockman)
- Downloadable chips are Burai B and Forte F.
- No WiFi multiplayer (Damn you Capcom, I have no BN friends in my neighbourhood)
- Colloseum (multiplayer) awards you points which can be traded in at Netto's PC for chips. Even Navi V2 chips o.o |

Ah! Well that's really promising!
Here's hoping that means 4.5 might get translated if OSS does well.
An EXE Revival would be AMAZINGLY AWESOME. _________________ [Message Temporarily Off-Line] |

Yes, after (even during the SS rockman scenario) you can switch between the to. Same way how you always switched between normal and style change in MMBN2-3.
It is better to play as SS Rockman, seeing as playing as rockman gets kinda boring. Only drawback with lockon is that when you get hit, you will get paralized like in the RnR series.
Also, you will get the RnR virus and boss battle music when playing as SS Rockman.
Just like RnR3, you will get a new start screen picture when you have beaten the game. |

... honestly I didn't expect much of this EXE game, but it's even worse than that. I'm totally going to pass on this.
As for the "remember EXE is still around" article? The difference is that Ace Attorney was a game that aged well. It was a game that NEVER made it stateside, so it was actually something we never played. And the extra final chapter? It was actually almost a whole new game.
This game sinks so low it cannot even be considered a moneygrub. I'm a big EXE fan, but this ranks almost as low as SHOVELWARE. -.- _________________ SPOILER:

BN did not age well. It doesn't stand up as well as other games with nowdays' standards. Not even mentioning about graphics and sound, but the game itself. The combat in the first game was very clunky and slow, chips were barely sorted and they often helped only so-much. Grass element? What's THAT? Oh you mean stuff Woodman W (way to go for chip compatibility) and wood seed? Rockman wouldn't evolve at all, style changes/souls were a big help later on in the series.
The game worked in 2001 because it was different, but there was a lot that needed improvement. Which came. But now they're re-showing it all over. T_T That just doesn't work at all. _________________ SPOILER:
