Heh, I'll join in on this too, at least while I have time. It's Thanksgiving break so I'll try to cram in a bunch of episodes in and post my thoughts on each one when its time to discuss them.
I won't have a lot of memories until we get to axess since I've barely seen any of EXE. But, I'll comment my thoughts on the episodes anyway. |

Ok, first off, when you guys said the blade was dulled in the English version, I thought the Cyber Sword looked a bit sharper, not actually look like an actual sword. I actually don't like it. I thought the English version of Cyber Sword looked more "cyber". Blade attacks should look like the sword in this episode.
While I can't have memories of seeing the episodes, I can identify scenes with the Megaman Trading cards from Decipher. I noticed three in here. The one where Gutsman blocked the standard navis shot, Gutshammer, and the part were Roll and Rockman are back to back.
They did good with helping you feel Nettos excitement when he opened the letter and found the disc.
I thought Lan was speechless at Rockman because he couldn't believe he just got a Custom Navi. Rockman doesn't seem that small to me.
Woohoo! Fireman! The ultimate fire navi!
Oh wait! There's another card image where Gutsman is falling from Rolls Roll Flash. |

The key here is that "cyber" was an addition to the name as well. The blurred version looks... dumb. And so is the name. It's dumb. Later in the series they look more like the traditional see-throughy swords we're used to. For some reason the first episode's swords looked like metal. |

Ah, that's true. Netto does say Sword not Cyber Sword. Yeah, Cyber Sword is kind of a cheesy name.
The main reason I didn't like the sword was because it looked like a metal sword. They didn't need the name cyber, but I liked the way the Cyber Sword looked, the "see-throughy" look. It made more sense how it came out of the arm. How do you make a metal sword come from your arm? (Then again, how do you make a a yo-yo come from your arm) Anyway, it seemed more realistic when the base forms around your hand and the laser blade comes from it, like a lightsaber. Yeah that's it, I like the lightsaber look better. |

Well if I remember right even in the second episode the sword looks normal. In fact, (can't be bothered to dig out episode 1 right now) it may even be that it's just the normal navi's sword that's metal. Rockman pulled out a sword at the end, didn't he? Yea, because he cut off Fireman's arm. I would check but I'm lazy.
Ah, back when the series was brand new. I feel like an old fart in a rocking chair on a porch reminiscing. |
