A nostalgia thread? Exciting! REO was the first forum I ever felt comfortable enough to join. I was still kind of scared of the internet when I was 15, so it was a big, new step for me. I don't think I ever did "noob" talk but it helped me learn I didn't have to be afraid of saying what I thought and possibly rubbing people the wrong way. (Not that I look for trouble or anything, but I'm not afraid to disagree or put myself out there in writing anymore.)

I remember being there for a LOT of drama, but I spent more of my time on the sister channels of IRC rather than the main chat.

I used to love doing the Trivia Game on IRC. I wasn't very good and, even when I got it right, my computer was usually too slow or I typo'd my answer to death. I miss collaborating and discussing fanfiction ideas with Mari, Ari, Neko, Naomi and Planty. That was always fun.

I remember being sad when Jace (IjuuinEnzan?) left. I didn't get to know him long, but, even though we were often on opposing sides of arguments, I think we had a mutual respect of sorts for each other. More or less.

Helping Josuke come up with descriptions for RAW episodes of Axess was fun and he helped me learn quite a few Japanese phrases and how to listen for them.

And Sketch-kun, Core-kun, Middy, Cloud-kun... and lots of other people I'm forgetting. I've missed talking to all of them while I've been away.
