Is WPP still working on Axess? I thought it kind of fizzled.

On-topic though... Does "in distro" mean available now or soon?

"Distro" means that they're spreading the file around to the primary seeders (for BT) and the IRC fileservs. Takes almost no time, in comparison to the rest of the process.

Indeed, tuxdev is right. 24 has been ready for release for... quite some time now, actually. Just can't seem to get ahold of the encoder from WPP to get 23 and 25.
