And I'd rather have a working DS version of the game
than an old GBA cartridge that goes on the fritz half the
time.
Seriously, sometimes when I put in my old GBA version
of BN1 on my DS, the 'Start GBA game' option doesn't
light up. Which had led me to believe that the cartridge
is slightly damaged (I bought it used) or the internal
battery is starting to die out... (Which I heard happened
to one user here on REO. :/ )
Although I have beaten BN1 already, I'd definitely like
OSS to be translated and brought over to the US so that
I can finally have a copy of the game that doesn't need
to be taken out, blown on, and then put back into my DS
in order to work.
Also, what happened to the rumors that they were going
to add extra stuff to the English release of OSS? Y'know,
to make it have a better reason to buy in the US rather
than import it from Japan? The rumors never specified
anything, but I heard from someone that it could have
been anything from more redone sprites to more areas
and side quests. And even if such a rumor does not
exist, it'd still be a good suggestion to put in that new
Capcom Suggestion Box. :/
( ... on that note, I think I'm gonna go make an account
on Capcom Unity just so I can do that.)
EDIT: Ha ha, whaddaya know, I actually bothered to go
through with it and make a suggestion! Better to try
something, eh? ^^; _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

I never heard that rumor, and I believe it to be a laughable one. >_> Like they'd bother putting work into it when they didn't the first time, and it wasn't even successful enough for a translation.
I don't think a dying battery would keep your game from booting. It could be something else wrong with the cartridge though. Is that the only GBA game that doesn't work right? (Weird to hear you say "blow it out." XD I've never had to blow out a GBA cartridge.)
Like another commenter on PRC put, I just hope they don't give up on un-canceling the series. |

Yeah, the chances that Capcom will do anything extra is
pretty much minimal, but it's worth a shot. It'll give
another example of how lazy Capcom is, if anything.
Yeah, it's my only GBA game that does that... in fact it's
my only GBA game that was bought used. (Good lordy,
what did the original owner do to it? D: )
I dunno, they said that BN6 was suppose to be the last
of anything they'll do dealing with BN, and then they
went ahead with Legend of the Network and OSS. That's
enough proof that they're already uncanceling it. :/ _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

I meant that I hope the abysmal "success" of OSS doesn't cancel their plans. I wouldn't say LoN really counted as a revival.
I'd say buy a new BN1. :D |

Ahh, alright. Still, I don't think Capcom would want to
miss the chance of making money with an actually new
edition to the Battle Network series... that is, if they're
planning on something like that. :/
I'd buy a new one, but... well, you can't really buy it at
a retailer nowadays without it being used. And after this,
I don't think I'm going to bother with used games
again. *easily paranoid, that's just me* ^^; _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

Nonsense, I've only ever had a faulty used game once. :D Definitely the exception. |

Unfortunate? I'd rather have a true sequel or a compilation anyway. |
I heard about that somtime ago...
I was planning to play OSS after my exam as well T^T
I'll have to depend on gamefaqs if I play the japanese version now... _________________ Your voice seems to freeze reaching me...

Eh, not really excited about it if it does happen since I won't be able to play it. Those kinds of things just don't work on my computer, same reason why it always glitches whenever I try to play 4.5. But if it does happen then hooray for everyone who can play it. I'm sure I can just find the script of it online and then just read it myself later after I get my hand on BN1, just so I know what happens during the Star Force part. _________________ My art blog: http://annamariacoppi.blogspot.com/
